What an absolute gem of a restaurant! My dining and takeout experiences at Pink Bee was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in the warm, welcoming atmosphere that only a family-run establishment can provide. The authenticity of the Thai cuisine served here is truly unparalleled. Every dish is crafted with care and expertise, delivering flavors that transport you straight to the bustling streets of Thailand. It's evident that each recipe is steeped in tradition, passed down through generations, and prepared with a generous sprinkle of love. The menu offers a delightful array of options, from classic staples to lesser-known treasures, ensuring there's something to tantalize every palate. Whether you're a fan of fiery curries, fragrant stir-fries, or indulgent noodle dishes, you're sure to find a new favorite here. And don't even get me started on the appetizers - each bite is a burst of flavor that leaves you craving more.Beyond the exquisite food, what truly sets Pink Bee apart is the genuine hospitality of the staff. It's evident that this isn't just a business - it's a passion project, a labor of love. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel like part of the family, adding an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience. Moreover, the fact that this restaurant is managed and operated by family and friends adds an extra dimension of charm. There's a sense of pride and dedication that permeates every aspect of the establishment, making each visit feel like coming home.In a world of cookie-cutter chain restaurants, Pink Bee is a refreshing reminder of the magic that happens when passion, tradition, and love come together. Whether you're a seasoned Thai food enthusiast or a curious newcomer, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Yep still obsessed with this place - it has yet to disappoint! Some changes since the last review; I've tried many new dishes and they have an online ordering system! Definitely use their pink bee website vs using third party to support this local gem of a Thai restaurant. I still think the braised pork dish is banging with the red cargo rice but I think close seconds would have to be the chicken laarb (it's on the sweeter side!) and the pumpkin curry. I am salivating as I type this. Not sure how people can give this place anything less than a 5 star because the food is absolutely divine and service is some of the nicest I've experienced. Check it out if you want a very comforting and satisfying meal that will make your taste buds dance!

We got takeout from here quite often. The food has never disappointed and is usually always ready pretty quickly. The only thing I would caution for those who order spicy food is that the spice level seems to vary a little bit. For example, if I ordered three stars, one time it would be just a little spicy and the next week would be extremely spicy. But other than that we've tried several of their dishes, and they are always tasty and fresh.

Portions are quite large but the food is good! Service was awesome too. Order at the counter and seat yourself. They have levels of spice so you can choose it how you like it. I do wish the crispy garlic chicken was more on the crispy side, but it was still good. It is definitely on the sweeter side. The pineapple fried rice is very delicious, as well as the curry.

Been wanting to go here for a while and I glad I went! We got take out but the place itself is small and cozy. I got a Tom Yum soup and like how it had a lot of shrimp. It was slightly sweet and could have been more sourer. The same went for the pad Thai, there was a sweetness to it but it was nice and spicy! My boyfriend felt it had a bit too much sauce. The flavor though was good.

The banner out front it very pink per the name of the restaurant. I would think it was a dessert or bakery from afar, but in actuality, it's a Thai restaurant.Friend recommended this place because he wanted to try their sandwich that's being marketed as a Banh Mi.... Okay, so first of all, Banh Mi is a Vietnamese term, it's not Thai. I'm just going to make that clear for the uneducated folks. Anyways, their bread for the sandwich is more like a hoagie type of bread than the ones you would get on a Banh Mi, but it does have some pickled veggies. There were caramelized onions, lettuce, mustard greens in the braised pork sandwich that my friend got. According to him, it was more like a Cuban sandwich than a Banh Mi.I wasn't in the mood for a sandwich, but honestly, it looked pretty good. I wanted something more familiar. I usually get the Phad Thai, but was more in the mood for their Phad See Ew. It was fairly good. I went with their highest spice level and got it with chicken. The noodles were perfect and felt like it could've been house made. Not sure, but it was very good. I thought it was pretty oily though, but it might be because of the spice level I got. Overall, very tasty.Service was fine. You order and pay upfront and they'll bring water to your table if you're dining in. You pick up your silverware yourself and you bus your own table unless they see you with a clean plate, then they'll be happy to take that away from you. So it's kind of what you would expect. If I'm ever in Ballard again and in the mood for Thai, I'd be happy to come back for another meal.

Have you ever had a day where you need a big strong hug BUT you really just want to be in your own head for the day and not talk?Well that's me today, and sitting in Pink Bee as the jazz plays, enjoying sticky rice and basil pork.... The chef singing softly in the kitchen, that's just the hug I needed to make my day better.Sometimes food is about hunger, but today food is about comfort here at Pink Bee.If you need a food hug, I recommend coming here and slowing down for some soul food.

Surprisingly authentic, tasty Thai food with vegan options. We stopped in for dinner one evening, seeing as they could do vegan versions of many dishes. Turns out none of their curries can be vegan (fish sauce already cooked into their curry pastes). But they could do various other things vegan. We ended up getting the below, all at 4/5 spiciness:-Veggie spring rolls ($3.95 for 2; vegan) -- chunky spring rolls with plenty of crunchy veggies, served with a sweet plum sauce. Very solid and satisfying spring rolls. 4.5/5-Larb with tofu ($9.95 plus tax; vegan) -- This ended up being mostly firm tofu cubes, with some raw cabbage, basil, red onion, cucumber, and cilantro. Nicely seasoned and spiced, especially at that 4/5 spice level. Good. 3.5/5-Pad See Ew ($12.95 plus tax; made vegan by omitting the egg) -- Beautifully cooked wide rice noodles, with plenty of veggies, decadent tofu, and amply spicy garlic chili sauce. Lovely. 4/5-Mixed veggie rice ($12.75 plus tax; vegan) -- savoury, slightly sweet garlic sauce coating a nice array of veggies and amped up nicely by the chilis. Excellent. 4/5Top-notch service -- extremely helpful about what could be vegan, very friendly, and astute. All in all, another good spot in Ballard for vegan-friendly Thai. Recommended.

I promise I'm not exaggerating when I say that the Chicken & Rice Satay is one of the best dishes I've eaten in my life! I've ordered takeout multiple times, and it is always cooked to perfection and with the right amount of spice. The staff is very kind and they always look happy when I walk in. Super recommend it!
