Pilchuck Drive In

I've been going here for years. The food is always good. The only downside is that it can sometimes take a while to get your food.

This place was hopping when I went today. The drive-through was constantly full, and the 8 tables inside remained mostly full for our whole dine-in experience. The restaurant had a bit of a retro feel, with a framed poster from its five year anniversary hanging on the wall, as well as old malt machines and various other old decor. It was fairly clean, and the bathrooms were decent.The girl who took our order was pleasant and professional, and our order was correct.Everything was priced fairly inexpensively. There were many menu options, including burgers, fries, sandwiches, hot dogs, milkshakes, and ice cream. The best thing was that there were a variety of sizes of burgers, from junior burgers all the way up to .5 lb. patties. The burger I had was ok- thin patty, but a bit on the salty side. The fries were decent. The best part of the meal was the peanut butter milkshake I had. This is a good place for people of all ages looking for a relatively inexpensive meal.

My family has been coming here before I was born over 46 years ago. It's always disappointing when there's only one family in the restaurant eating, three cars in the drive-through and the three kids standing at the front answer the phone to say that they can't take to go orders over the phone because they're too busy. No tip for you

We are transplants to the area so the origins of this place are a mystery to us. Every time we drove by we were always so impressed with how long the line was and how busy it appeared to be. Finally a few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to be able to go and pick up dinner here. Well, the line is long because the service is sooooo slow. The prices have been significantly increased from several posted pictures of the menu, which is understandable due to a variety of factors; however, even if the price of food was at its original, I'd still feel I over paid. This food was terrible. The chicken tenders had a metallic taste to them which made them get thrown away. The fries were slightly still frozen and soggy. The grilled cheese was on hard bread that couldn't be chewed through. And lastly, the cheeseburger was also soggy. I'd like to say the interactions with the workers were pleasant, and unfortunately they weren't great. Both young adults (possibly teenagers?) didn't smile, engage in any niceties, and acted as if this was the worst thing they could be doing at that moment. I get that to some extent- I had a first job that wasn't my dream, and also I understood that I was public facing and approached it differently than they did. I really wish this spot had been a gem- something that's an amazing, sought after, delicious place where we'd want to keep giving back to and eat at. It's not. It's not even cheap for bad food. It's disappointing.

So disappointed in this place today. I've never had such crap food from this place. 4 1/2 Onion rings for almost $5, are you kidding me!! My burger wasn't cooked all the way through, still raw. The Banana milkshake, not even real bananas, it was syrup. Seriously guys, come on. Do better. $15 for lunch. What a waste of money.....

I would like to give this place more stars but the inside of the sitting area... I don't think it has been mopped or swept since they opened the place back in the 60's. I really enjoyed the burgers are made of fresh beef and the buns toasted. The fries are not fresh cut but not bad for pre-made frozen fried. The fry sauce is okay but the relish mixed into the sauce is a little dominant. The ranch is awesome and would suggest that over the fry sauce. The drive-thru is crazy and makes no sense, so we have always dined in after go on a long hike as a treat.

This place is great! The best fish and chips I've had in a long time! Shake was delicious! It's English style fish, which is hard to find these days.

Been coming here since I was a a kid, still 10/10, fries, burger, onion rings, and shake were all up to par! The shake is incredible has strawberry pieces in it, my favorite!! The cheeseburger is so good too, cooked perfectly, veggies taste fresh, sauce is perfect, it's one of the best burgers around. Staple to snohomish for sure! Service was great and quick too. The inside is so cute too, but we did drive through and it was a week day so it was fast, I know the line can get long!

Yummy JR Bacon Cheese Burger, Yummy Butterscotch Shake, excellent hot Onion Rings but most of my French Fries were barely warm & mixed with a few fresh hot fries so it was easy to tell the difference between the old and the new fries. The Fries are $4.50 and for $4.50 I expect to have all fresh hot fries not a mix of old fries with a few fresh hot fries. That was a bummer. Suggestion: Ask for hot fresh cooked fries when you place your order. The service was not so great either. Counter help was not welcoming or friendly to us at all, BIG bummer. The Restroom floor looked like it had not been mopped in 2 years (this is not a joke) It is SUPER filthy, I bet it is still filthy today. I though about telling them that their restroom needed cleaning but should a customer really have to tell them to clean! I don't think so. Full service restroom cleaning should be done on a daily basis at minimum. There was lots of staffing standing around behind the counter. Management needs to start managing and delegate a full service cleaning as a regular daily duty.

Typical drive in restaurant with a decent menu. I'd come in a few weeks ago and my sister got a burger and I got an ice cream which was okay. I came back to get my own burger and onion rings which were pretty good. The tartar sauce was a bit weird seemed almost like Mayo. I didn't have to wait long but did go inside as the drive thru is typically quite long.
