I got a peanut butter and jelly sandwichwasn't great, they had big clumps of jelly in itstaff are nice

First time visiting whidbey on my own and stopped by the nearest lunch spot by the ferry. I love pickles and I love sandwiches so I was already excited when I saw Pickles Deli trending at the top of Yelp's list. I went right at 12 and was able to make it before the lunch rush that formed soon after I ordered. The decor is pickle themed and I loved seeing so much personality on the walls. They love their pickles and have 4 different flavored dill chips (I learned that chips is just pickle here btw)! I got the Spicy Italian Hot sandwich and when I unwrapped the packaging, the bread was just glittering. It had the perfect crust, crunch, and was super warm. My friend ordered the Classic Turkey and Bacon and was able to have a bite and I really liked it. Whenever I go to a deli, I try to always order the italian and this was really solid. I wish there was more shrettuce and red vinegar because it was a tad bit salty but it was all washed down with their draft kombucha. I would still come again and try other sandwiches. I actually liked my friends sandwich and would order that instead or maybe the pastrami?? Still overall a 9.5/10 experience and would make it a tradition to come here each time I come back to the island. This plaza is amazing btw. There's so much to explore with the bagel factory next door, the local pet store which feels more like a petting zoo (puppies, kittens, tropical birds, Komodo dragon??!) , and a cute thrift shop. There's also an icecream shop called Sprinklz I want to check out next time. Came on a sunny day so that just made the entire experience too.

I love this place. The sandwiches are great and they always have a good selection of beer to go. Good cookies too! It's one of my favorite eats on the island to be sure. Staff are always cool. Perfect spot to grab take out for the ferry wait.

Stopped in after the ferry ride over from Mukilteo. Cute little deli in an unassuming shopping plaza. The line was very long and moved really slow. We ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich and two smoothies- all was really good! The sandwich was huge and tasted like Thanksgiving perfection. The smoothies were good- nothing to rave about (fairly certain she forgot my banana in my blueberry-banana). Overall- i highly recommended for the sandwich's alone!

Got a chicken Caesar garlic wrap since it doesn't get soggy after an hour. Ate it on the ferry home. Also for $1 I got the garlic pickle which is huge and tasty. Service was quick. There were at least 5 tables to sit at for dine in. Wouldn't mind going back to try the rest of their menu. They use Boars Head for their meat and cheese selection.

This was not the best experience I've had at Pickle's Deli. The lady taking our orders was not welcoming at all and seemed like she wasn't having the best day. I had gotten a fountain drink to go with my sandwich, and I was given a icy cooled glass cup which was very nice. But after I went to fill up my cup with some Diet Coke and took a sip I noticed that there wasn't any carbonation in the soda at all. I went back and tested all the other sodas and sure enough no carbonation. I ordered the Twisted Rueben, overall 3/5 in my opinion: very average for a Rueben sandwich I did like the bread though. My wife ordered the Tomato Basil Chicken Panini, which I took two bites of and both bites I got cold pieces of chicken while the rest of the sandwich was lukewarm. Not very much flavor at all either, 2/5.It had been a while since I'd been to Pickles Deli, and it will probably be another good amount of time before I go back.

Hands down best sandwiches around! Local or passing through, it's a must stop. We're here at least twice a week. The spicy Italian is our favorite. Staff is over the top friendly! Pickles forever!

Been here many times and always leaving satisfied. This time we got the Friday After Thanksgiving which did not disappoint better than any Turkey sandwiches you can get anywhere. Portions very filling. Must try if you are in Whidbey.

We grab a sandwich and pickle from when it fits with the ferry commute. Big menu and good flavors. Support the local shop!
