We had been here many times under the previous ownership and loved it. This was our first visit since the transition. WOW! How delicious!! And the menu is completely re-vamped. Some really authentic Italian dishes beyond your typical red and white tablecloth staples. We had a really hard time deciding but ended up ordering the eggplant flatbread appetizer which was WONDERFUL, and the Italian sausage cavatelli. We split these and it was plenty of food for us.MELANZANE ALLA GRIGLIA$ 19.00GRILL MARINATED EGGPLANTS IN CRUMBLED GOAT CHEESE AND BALSAMIC. HOMEMADE FOCACCIA .CAVATELLI ALLA NORCINA$ 28.00ITALIAN SAUSAGE, FRESH PORCINI MUSHROOMS, CREAM, WINTER BLACK TRUFFLE AND GRANA PADANO.The service was great, as was my cocktail! The smoked pear old-fashioned!!Already made a reservation for Christmas Eve!!

Wow just wow. I don't understand why this restaurant is even close to 4.5 stars. 2 stars because our service was fantastic but I can't say the same about the food. I ordered the black truffle pasta. The smell was rancid the flavor tasted stale, the chicken tasted old please look in the freezer and check if it's old and spoiled because I bet you it is. I bet you even Gordan Ramsey would say what the **** is this dogshit. The calamari how can someone even get that wrong, oh this place definitely did, get it wrong is what I'm saying soggy, flavorless. Now one thing I was going to order is the ceaser salad but resisted when I read the description. "Grilled lettuce" my head is banging on the table intensely if you know... you know . I'm sorry but never again will I come back to this establishment.

Celebrated our 57th wedding anniversary tonight. We used to drive to Tacoma or downtown Seattle for great Italian food but no longer any need to drive. This place is over the top, small intimate and unique food. We have been to Italy multiple times and Sicily once and this place equals any restaurant in the old country. I never order bruschetta because it usually seems like over priced toasted bread but not here. We had 3 thick slices of delicious toast each one cut in half and topped with a heap of exotic fillings. The beet salad was also extraordinary but I neglected to take a photo. The feta cheese was encased in meatball sized dumplings. My wife had the Caciucco (seafood stew) and it was rich and delicious with a memorable broth and loads of seafood. I had the Misto Pesco and it was loaded with scallops, big shrimp, and calamari. It was a seafood feast on a bed of spinach with cannoloni beans. It is one of the few times I have eaten in an Italian restaurant, not had pasta and did not miss it. We shared the Cannoli Sicilliani and there were 3 pieces. I said we would have to fight over the 3d one and our waiter brought us one more. The manager came by to speak with us and brought us lemoncello on the house. The whole evening was memorable and the service was personable and friendly. Our waiter took the time to talk to us and make recommendations. Most of the staff were from Italy. This will be our #1 Italian restaurant from now on.

First time visiting restaurant. Had to catch a flight, its near the airport and wanted Italian and to treat my son out for dinner and celebrate his birthday . Ambience reminded me of a throw back Italian restaurant with a mid century vibe. I was expecting Tony Soprano and his crew to come walking through the door. Dinner started off with a great wine selection a lot of wines directly from Italy. Appetizer started off with steamed clams in a spicy broth absolutely delicious for the main meal. I had their seafood pasta, generous portions of mixed seafood, huge shrimp and other assortment of mixed. Our waiter was very attentive, and the service was great. I can't comment on the desserts because I was too full to order the grand finale of the meal. Would have given a five star review. I can't really put my finger on it, but the food was great but not over the top compared to other Italian dining that I have experienced. I would definitely come back as the price, service and food was definitely in the fourth star category.

Wonderful, authentic Italian dining experience. Food was amazing! Most notable were the calamari (unbelievably tender) and gnocchi. Service was also outstanding. Family owned and run. One of the best restaurants in Burien. Must go!!

Our first time trying this place and would definitely go back.I am not Italian and do not know anyone who is so I don't have a good baseline on what is authentic and what isn't but it was dang good that's for sure.Only got a picture of the lasagna but my fiance and I shared the burrata+prosciutto and calamari for starters. Both dishes were well made- I preferred the calamari as it was crispy and fresh and the marinara was tasty. The burrata dish was good but needed more burrata! My fiancé had the CAVATELLI ALLA NORCINA for his main- sooo tasty, I actually liked his sauce better as it was a little smoky and a bit more savory but sooo rich I could not have eaten more than a few bites. The lasagna was yummy as well- different from others I have had as the noodle layer was quite thin and the cheese layer was thick but very creamy and delicious, same with the sauce. Tiramisu was no small feat either- creamy and perfectly sweet. Overall service was good but I would reccomend not going on a Saturday night as it is jam packed and kind of overstimulating as the space is not huge- servers were working so hard but running around a lot so definitely be patient and gracious if going at a busy time. Prices were actually not as steep as I would think for a nice Italian restaurant. Total for 2 glasses of wine, 2 apps, 2 main dishes, and a dessert was $142 without tip. I have definitely racked up more $$ in downtown Seattle and other places in the area for less food so I don't think prices were too outrageous.*Make a reservation! Lots of walk ins that had to wait a bit.*We will be back on a non-weekend night.
