New Favorite sandwich spot. Service is fast and the employee was fantastic and full of energy. Great music plays while you enjoy a cute sandwich and sweet treats. Served on a little plate in wrapping. It's a great price and great size for the perfect sandwich spot. Will be coming back again and again.

Once upon a time I was at the airport in phoenix on an early morning and saw a Zooks and thought let me get a breakfast sandwich, not knowing anything about how they looked or what they were. Once it came out I fell in love ever since. I'm so glad they have numerous locations because I thought they were just hidden at the airport. I believe they have 2 locations in Phoenix and these breakfast sandwiches come with 2 poached eggs and various other toppings depending what you get. I love the No. 22 which comes with avocado and ham, but I do tomatoes instead of beans. These Sammie's are so cute and taste delicious. I usually don't feel super full after eating one, but it hits right. They also have lunch items which I haven't personally tried because I love the breakfast sandwich so much. The service is usually pretty good, and doesn't take too long if it's not super busy.

This is such a cute little sandwich shop! I've had this place bookmarked for awhile, and finally decided to come out here during Sunday brunch. This is right next to Flower Child in the Uptown shopping plaza. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Each sandwich comes with your side of a salad or chips. I got the #45 Zookz Burger with a potato sidekick and chips. Boyfriend ordered the #22 breakfast sandwich with the potato salad. It's a light but filling healthy breakfast option. Prices range between $10-12. Service was great. We were warmly greeted by a nice lady who asked if it was our first time and gave us wonderful suggestionswas.

These sandwiches remind me back in the day when I used to have a sandwich press and it would seal all sides of the sandwich and make it hot. I got one to go and I was 20 minutes away from home. When I opened it and ate it, it was still warm and good. They were generous with the fillings and the bread had a good crunch. Lacked a bit of flavor, had to add salt. Overall it was good, but I prefer cold sandwiches.

Ordered a #25. Ham, cheddar, tomatoes, avocado, black beans, smoke chipotle sauce. Deco to not have the chipotle as I am not a fan of it. The sandwich came with a choice of a salad or chips. That was an easy decision went for the chips, the salads looked so sad. The bagged chips were a good choice as the flavour and crunch were pretty good In Australia we would call this sandwich a jaffle. Pretty tasty! Would come back. Try the Voodoo chips The sandwich is wh

Had a great overall experience. We were greeted as we walked in and asked if it was our first time. We were then helped with the menu and they even pulled their recipes/list of ingredients to help with guidance and dietary needs. It was a beautiful day and having the doors and large windows all open was great. Our food had delicious flavors and was filling. The lunch sandwiches come with a side and I opted for a kale salad which was refreshing and my husband got the chips, also very yummy. I saw others having the same type of experience with assistance with the menu, being checked on while they enjoyed their meals, and overall having a great time. Definitely had superior service over your typical sandwich shop and I loved all of it.

We were in Phoenix and decided to go to Zookz Sandwiches for lunch. This spot has literally been on my bookmarks for years! The space is smaller than expected but we were able to grab a table when we got there.I got the No 20 (turkey, crisp bacon, fresh avocado and tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, zookz Sweet Heat Mustard Sauce), my dad got the No 10 (turkey, crunchy apples, tangy parmesan cheese, cranberries, almonds, Zookz Sweet Heat Mustard Sauce), my husband got the No 45 "zookz burger" (seasoned ground beef, cheddar, tomatoes, sliced pickles, shredded lettuce, zookz bang bang sauce), and my son wanted the kids grilled cheese! My sandwich was very good; the ingredients were pretty basic but turkey & bacon, who could go wrong. I particularly liked the sweet heat mustard which added a bit of sweetness & heat. My husband really enjoyed his sandwich too. The other turkey sandwich good but a bit too sweet with the apples, cranberries & the sweet sauce; probably wouldn't get that one again personally. Each sandwich came with a side; we had gotten the kale salad and potato salad. Both were good, I liked their take on the potato salad with corn, black beans, and green onions!Of all the sandwiches, the "burger" seemed to be the most filling. My husband said he was comfortably full after eating it. My dad & I both said we probably could've eaten more food. Overall though, for creativity, we'd be back!

Zookz is a genius place! My first time in, the owner greeted me, told me about the concept, went over some favorites. All around, so hospitable. Loved the indoor/outdoor concept. Great sandwiches!

My friends and I flew into Phoenix bright and early and wanted to grab some breakfast before doing a little hike nearby. We did our research beforehand and had a list of food spots we wanted to try. Zookz looked unique so we had to check it out. Finding it was easy and parking was plentiful at the time we arrived. It is not a huge restaurant, but there is plenty of seating inside as well as a patio area out front. That morning the weather was great so they had these large windows open which made the place feel like an open air restaurant. It's counter service here so there was minimal interaction with the staff, but no complaints. All I knew before coming here was that we were going to some highly rated sandwich shop. I did not know that the sandwiches were made in this cool contraption. It took me back to my childhood because my parents actually had a similar contraption that they made sandwiches in as well. The contraption basically has a pocket to place a stuffed sandwich. You close it up and hold it over a flame. When you open it, you are left with a perfectly toasted sandwich. The menu is odd and all the sandwiches are numbered. I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason to the numbers and the type of sandwich is it, but it is very random. I had my mind set on something breakfasty and No. 68 stood out to me. It contained 2 poached eggs, chorizo, cheese, onions, sliced potatoes, and avocado. It didn't take long to come out and the sandwich was piping hot. It looks a little small at first glance, but it is stuffed to capacity. The bread was nice and toasty and all the ingredients inside were perfectly cooked. They made sure to season every item inside so there was no bland bites. I paired it with some fresh squeezed orange juice which was delicious and refreshing. My crew really enjoyed their sandwiches as well. Not only was this place delicious, but it was also nostalgic and reminded me of something that I had completely forgot about. I love a good sandwich and this place is definitely up there as one of my faves. I will definitely be back if in the Phoenix area.
