"I was actually hoping to go to the State 48 Rock House, but their kitchen was closed at 8:30 PM which I thought was odd. Well, the good news was that I ended up here. For what was indeed a slow middle of the week night service was brilliant from start to finish. The Fritto Misto - Tempura battered zucchini, summer squash and artichoke hearts with a side of lemon zest aioli to start was amazing. Light, not greasy, and very tasty. For my main I had a Grilled Romaine Salad - Half a head of romaine lettuce grilled and topped with a caesar dressing, croutons, grape tomatoes, red onions and parmesan frico with shrimp. It was great!Though it wasn't the Rock House I still managed a new beer here too. I was very happy coming here. The place wasn't that big, but it felt roomy and comfortable."
"Really cool hidden gem in Arcadia! It is a smaller space so rather limited seating, but the few times I've visited been lucky enough to snag the little couch area to just hang out and sip on wines. They stock a lot of unique and international wines at varying and approachable price points. They also have a fun collection of games to play and a nice menu of snacks and sandwich items. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with answering questions and offering recommendations."

Visit Restaurant Page"This restaurant is a cut above the rest. First of all I was tickled when I checked in on Yelp and I got a coupon for "one free fist bump from the bar tender" (which by the way I am still owed because I never did get this). The ambiance is great and we choose to sit in the outdoor seating. They had ample heating lamps which was perfect for the chilly desert nights. Our table was rocky but we quickly fixed that with some left over tickets we had from a place we went to prior. The service was great. Our waitstaff was friendly however the bar was a little slow on this night and we did have to wait a while for our second round of drinks. The food was great and the bread is to die for. My husband got the short rib and I got the mushroom risotto. Both were incredible good. We did not get a chance to try dessert but next time we will."
"Highly recommend! Such a cute place with great service! Our server told us that they rotate their wine menu every month, so cool! The food was delicious, and the three wines were great! The flights are perfect, because they give you three 2oz pours. I cannot wait to go back!"
"Delightful patio and exquisite coffee! However I was disappointed with the lox bagel I thought wasn't very good. I didn't care for the quality of the smoked salmon. The patio was packed this morning and the employees were super friendly and helpful. Just a great vibe, and one of my favorite places to go to in Phoenix."
"More than happy to come back here over and over. The service is great, the wine is delicious, and the ambiance is everything I could ask for and then some. We went on a warm sunny day (surprise, Phoenix!) and the place got an incredible amount of natural light that was easy on the eyes. We ordered some popcorn and olives to enjoy with our wine - absolutely no regrets. The entire staff was incredibly kind. More than happy to return again and again."
"Another favorite and staple of mine! I visited this one the most since I lived closest to it, but I had also gone to the downtown Phoenix location a few times before moving to Biltmore. Dtphx was nice because they had gelato!I came here countless times (I think I had even been when it was previously Wink 24 pizza which I enjoyed before the changeover). The Biltmore location was just the perfect treat for any and every occasion - afternoon happy hour, break from shopping, date night, catching up with friends. Great fried calamari and meatball appetizers. As far as pizza, the diavola and toto sapore were probably my favorites. But couldn't go wrong with principe, quattro cheese, and capricciosa. My favorite pasta by far was the gramigna boscaiola, the flavors still linger in my taste buds to this day!Their drinks were amazing too. Of course they had a great wine selection, but their cocktails were creative, fun, strong, and tasty! They used to have a GREAT happy hour (half off drinks) but I think it has since changed to a limited menu and less of a discount- still totally worth going any time though!Service was always pleasant and friendly. I also loved their live music on Fridays/Saturdays, especially when I was able to sit by the fire pit to enjoy it all. At one point, they had a pizza and penny prosecco special (bottle of prosecco for a penny with any pizza purchase) and that was just a steal - reminded me of Federal Pizzas weekly promotion. All in all, this is definitely worth checking out, and if you go once, I bet you will go again!"
"Pretty solid Indian restaurant! The smell of all the spices hits you as soon as you enter, which is when you know it's real. It's a small and quiet place, but they do play indian music in the background, which I appreciated. There was one waiter for all the tables, and he looked miserable, but he got it done. We got paneer kati rolls for appetizers (not photographed), and for our meals, I got chicken Tikka masala, husband got lamb roganjosh, and we shared garlic naan and nut and raisin naan. I loved our entrees. They were a big portion, came with rice, and were extra buttery and rich. Only downside was the naan. They had no garlic/nut raisin flavor at all. They just tasted like regular naan."
"I had an amazing time at PV Pie & Wine during their happy hour! The restaurant is impressively massive, and the interior design is simply beautiful and well thought out. As soon as I entered, I was captivated by the clear wine cellar surrounding the bar - a unique and visually appealing touch. The happy hour menu offered a fantastic selection of bites, and the best part was that all drinks were priced at just $7 (with beer at $6). What a steal! The Meatballs with Focaccia and Brussels Sprouts stole the show for me; they were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. However, the Spicy Shrimp Cocktail didn't quite hit the mark for my taste buds. For dessert, I treated myself to their seasonal cheesecake, which was a delightful conclusion to my meal. Creamy and rich, it was the perfect sweet note to end the evening.Aside from the delectable food and drinks, the lively atmosphere during the weekday added to the overall experience. PV Pie & Wine is undeniably a great spot to unwind, enjoy delicious bites, and savor quality drinks without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vibrant place to dine and socialize during happy hour!"
"We just tried Sam and Luca for the first time and WOW. Fresh food, amazing service & daily specials. We will be back."
"Awesome selections of wines and beers and server Jordan was friendly and just amazing. He made my first visit memorable and I got to sing Karaoke on Monday night that went well with my dragoon pilsner! Mahalo for a great time!"
"Absolutely delicious food and great service in a elegant/modern dining setting!I recently had dinner here with some colleagues. This location was recommended to us, by a few folks that live in the area or visit frequently. I 100% know why.Staff greeted us as we walked in the door, with big smiles and a gentle hello. It was like visiting a friends house. They verified our reservation (which I highly recommend) and took us to our table. As we walked to the table the other staff members also greeted us with "Hellos" and smiles as we walked by. So incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were brought fresh glasses of water menus within seconds of sitting down and our drink orders were taken. While we waited for our drinks we were brought delicious bread. We enjoyed the bread while perusing the menu. The menu is not pages and pages, in fact it is well thought out and curated to over special meals that all read like a chef special. I can speak for our table that all were wowed by their meals.I ended up with the 4 day bolognese which was absolutely incredible. and I was "sold" on the add on of a 10oz meatball. It did not disappoint. the pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was flavorful, not greasy, it was thick and stuck to the pasta. SOOOO GOOD!! The meatball was incredible. Tender flavorful and hearty. I couldn't finish my food, it was just so much, I wish I lived locally as I would have taken it home for next day leftovers. The service was so very attentive and offered suggestions for drink and food to my colleagues. Great recommendations that went over well and didn't seem forced. The chef came by to check on us. and The owner came by to check on us and chat for a bit. He was very engaged and walked to each table. Such a friendly atmosphere.I 1000% recommend this restaurant. There is something for everyone on the menu."

Arrivederci!!! I would personally like to welcome you to this fantastic establishment. The service wasn't the only delectable thing about our experience. The food was as well! We were immediately greeted. I asked our incredible server which items he liked best and he gave me honest feedback. I started with a Ceaser salad and some red wine. His presentation was flawless and the wine was impeccable!! I got the black truffle pasta dish. The sausage added so much flavor!! It was creamy but not too creamy! Added the right amount of flavor. My colleague had the chicken parm and I'll be trying that next time around. Because there most definitely will be a next time. Also the tiramisu, raspberry sorbet and lemon cheesecake were all chef's kiss!

Went here tonight for restaurant week. Staff was super warm and friendly. For my starter, I had the crispy brussel sprouts which were absolutely delicious. For my main entree, I ordered the Chicken Picatta which came with linguini and veggies. I found the dish flavorful and I ended with my desert being the limoncello sorbet which OMG I licked every bit of that yumminess!!Had a wonderful time at this establishment tonight.

Bottom line. This place is awesome, give it a visit and you will not be disappointed. ----Now to the actual "review." My dad is a picky eater and he complains a lot about everything. I'm visiting (after living here for over a quarter of a century) and had to find a place that would satisfy the palette of a very judgmental man. Anyway, Turquoise Wine Cellar delivered far and beyond. The moment we walked in, it was amazing customer service and greetings. We ordered food and drink and just enjoyed the ambience. The Smoked Salmon is what won my dad over. He loved it. The naan bread and then the veggies with the spread were the perfect combination. This place is a hidden spot and worth the visit so don't miss out. The wine selections are fantastic and complimented with the best food options!

4 stars for ambiance and quick service.3.5 stars for some fairly inexpensive, good sized avocado toast. 2 stars for weird microwave looking eggs and a mediocre breakfast burrito.1 star for two parts of our order getting very messed up.5 stars for pricing! That being said, they fixed our order very quickly and the coffee was tasty too. I'd probably give a total 3 stars but I feel like we just had an off experience.

My favorite wine bar! I recommend this spot to anyone and everyone! The ambience is unmatched whether you come in during the day or at night the vibes and energy are immaculate! The staff are always kind and give the best recommendations! I ordered the Sancerre rose and it's crisp and refreshing! Skip the glass order the bottle especially if you're sharing with friends! The bread and butter is a must! When I saw it was $9 I said heck no but then I tried it and trust me you will order it EVERY TIME! I wasn't a fan of the popcorn it was really stale & nothing special. Staff informed me that on Wednesdays they have pizza so I'll definitely be back to check that out!

This is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in the valley , I used to frequent this place for the lunch buffet many years ago when there weren't too many options in the area. The food has remained the same but I guess with the growing options it's nothing remarkable anymore. The prices and portion sizes are good but the taste is not exceptional. The kathi roll and keema naan were good but I wasn't a fan of the biriyaniIt tasted more like fried rice with chunks of chicken and did not come with the yogurt raita.Cheers!

We got the back room which was excellent, the kiddos were able to just be free and loud. The team was great there, very attentive to us, patiently taking our orders through giggles and laughter from the kids and honoring our special requests. We definitely will be back and recommend to families! we had a great time"
"The Tortoise is a great hangout in Arcadia. It looks fairly small from the outside (due to lack of parking), but the inside is fairly expansive and they have a bigger backyard that is opened for signature events like the pig roast and IPA Day. Seating is good for both groups and singles. Usually sports are on TV. In the last few years Tortoise has expanded the offerings to beer, wine , and mead. All of the taps are rotating and Tortoise attempts to have a variety of styles available - usually they'll let you sample before deciding on a pint. They're quickly becoming known for special beer events - celebrating certain beer varieties like IPA Day, Bottle Logic, Sour Fest, etc. Tortoise is pet-friendly as you'll usually see a couple of dogs laying around at any point, and they have doggie water bowls around the shop. They also operate the food shop out front - Sink or Swim - which has some nice sandwiches and sides. Nelson's next door also has carry out options... and if all else fails, there's a Circle K next door. Would love to see Tortoise expand to my part of town - it's always such a fun time!"
"Super welcoming and chill! Tana is super kind and gave great, honest recommendations. I will certainly return!"
"The best craft cocktail bar that I've been to in Scottsdale in quite a while. The ambiance, employees ( Lily and Jett bartenders) and drinks are exceptional. If you like bourbon then go with the Down Comforter with Smoke Wagon Bourbon | Amaro Lucano Anniversario Pistachio Orgeat | Australian Coffee Bitters...... amazing!"
"Love the food at this family owned Italian place. Portions are a great size and everything is fresh. We come a few times a month"
"You really can't beat the feeling of escaping reality as you pull up and walk into the Royal Palms Resort. I've been a regular visitor through the years, dating back well before the renovation just over a year ago, and my husband was more of a regular for years before me!The Mix Up Bar definitely mixed things up from their PR (pre-renovation) days. I've been several times since and I still really enjoy the atmosphere and friendly service... I'm not going to lie; it's not exactly like the good ol' days though! What's consistent is the people-watching, attentive service, live music on many nights, solid cocktails, beer and wine to choose from. There is also a certain je ne sais quoi about this place... it's definitely a gem!The food menu isn't as impressive as it used to be... I miss the lobster bisque and paella! I am pretty sure they still have the amazing bread with pesto, and you can't go wrong with that, but not a ton of other items appealed to me. On a recent visit, we shared a charcuterie plate, a side of brussels sprouts, and a cauliflower soup. I wouldn't get the soup again, but the other items weren't bad!Eric who runs the bar now is easy to chat with and does a great job... no doubt we'll be back soon, even without some of my old time favorite menu items!"
"Visited multiple times! Happy hour is a must visit time! Great specials on beer, wine, and food- the staff has always been friendly, welcoming and great service! Food menu is good if you know their menu - not bar food or small snacks - but the food is great! Most recently had the Burrata and it was delish! Good to share over drinks!"
"Always on point. Staff of great morning or night and I fly several times a week. It's airport ish... so it's pricey for what it is. They come correct!"
"A great little spot away from the downtown crowds. If I lived in the area, I'd be walking there frequently. They host a lot of events to keep people coming back - happy hours, trivia, cards nights, live music, etc. What really keeps thirsty people returning is the self-serve wine machine and rotating options. You don't see a lot of those around town. Its fun to be able to pick and choose small samples instead of committing to one full glass at a time. to In addition, they have craft beers and ciders available too (in cans, no taps). Small light bites menu complements the drinks. Definitely a good happy hour spot if you don't have a large group. Space is precious here, the largest table fits maybe 8 adults. If you're able to remote work, they offer free wifi too. The bar/wine tenders know their wine and each time I've gone have been able to give solid recos based on what I was wanting to drink."

"We had gone hiking out at Lake Saguaro and wanted a bite on the way home. We found this place through Yelp and thought it sounded good. At first we thought we were entering a country club but found the restaurant easily! It has the cutest layout! Very clean and welcoming aesthetic! We sat on the patio (dog friendly) which was really big and had umbrellas and a few fireplaces! It was a really nice place. We both we over the moon with our food. It came out pretty quickly and had incredible flavor! The chicken sandwich is amazing! The service was also very nice and made sure our drinks were always filled! Overall awesome experience that is worth the drive out to Mesa! We will definitely be back! Also I LOVE that the check comes out in a book that you can leave a cute note in!"
"Fine dining in its truest form, Anhelo is an incredible culinary experience and one that I haven't experienced elsewhere in Phoenix. Refined, elegant, traditional fine dining is how I would describe our experience here.To begin, there seemed to more staff serving than customers eating. The attentiveness, organization, and fluidity between every team member was impressive. It was like watching the Phoenix Suns run their offense. Everyone and everything was cohesive. Poetry in motion. Our meal was 3 courses: First course: steak tar tar. Haven't had much steak tar tar in my life but this was easily the best I've ever had - and my favorite dish I had here (out of the 6 I tried).Second course: salmon. incredibly delicious. The sauce was amazing. The salmon cut was about the size of my big toe. I wished it was bigger. Third Course: pork tenderloin. This was the most underwhelming dish out of the 6 I had had. My filet was on the fattier side. It was cooked perfectly though, and the sweet potato purée was novel and unique. In retrospect, I should have tried the beef Wellington- $100 though? An expensive meal, but completely worth it. As I mentioned previously, come to Anhelo for a fine dining experience downtown PHX. You're in for a treat."
"If u judge a book by its cover, u're definitely missing out on this place! The outside appearance doesn't look like much, but take a leap and jump inside! There's a super cool vibe and refreshing feel waiting for u! They have couches for u to slouch on as low as u wanna go! My first time ever trying a wine called Bobal and what ever house brand they carry, it was YUMMY! I'm no wine connoisseur, so u'll have to try it for yourself! We closed down the place and the bartender was super patient & cool about it! I'll definitely catch another rift of this place soon!"
"Pretty good spot to chill. It's a cute place. They have happy hour 3 to 6. We got the charcuterie board. It was good. Also my friends got the margarita pizza. That was good I got the mozzarella, prosciutto and apple bruschetta. It was okay."
"A shout out to a an excellent restaurant right here in Fountain Hills. My friend and I went to Pietro's/Ferrarese restaurant in Eagle Mountain Saturday night. I ordered chicken Marsala and my friend ordered fettuccine in a cream sauce with slices of chicken breast on top. Chicken Marsala came with Italian roasted potatoes and asparagus. His meal came with a salad and the dressing was excellent. Both meals were OUTSTANDING. To top off the meal we shared a slice of Lemoncello cake which was light and creamy. We noticed some of the appetizers as they went by to other tables which looked delicious. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the owners are very charming. I have to mention our server Eddie, who also made our evening special. It was our first time there and definitely won't be our last. I highly recommend Pietro's"
"Vegan and Vine is my new favorite Vegan joint in Phoenix! As more and more Vegan brick and mortar restaurants open up and survive. It will bring diversity to the Vegan restaurant scene in Phoenix! My hope is that we will have plenty to choose from and that competition raises all their games up!V & V has tons of seating, plenty of parking being neighbors of the Safeway strip mall and a really decent list of items on their menu. I can't speak to the alcohol situation, but they do offer it. There is no need to reinvent the wheel when preparing your favorite item Vegan style! V & V executes it very well. The beignets were very delicious. My family and I were all happy with our selections and cannot wait to go back!"
"I could eat the Lo Mein from Dao Kitchen every. Single. Day. The beef was incredibly tender and I added vegetables with were cooked to perfection. Our food took a little while to come out and they brought free cream cheese puffs to hold us over, which was thoughtful and much appreciated. The hot and sour soup was one of the best I've had and kept us patient till the main courses came out. Which were seriously worth the wait! Service is nice and friendly, and the music they play makes you feel like you're at a spa. I was relaxed, happy, full and tired by the end of dinner. Highly recommend this place!"
"I really like Darcy's. We've been there for dinner several times now and done takeout a couple of times as it's so close to our home. Great italian food with a diverse menu. Every item we've had has been delicious and ample, and the service is typically exemplary. They also have a fabulous patio with views of Pinnacle Peak and surrounding area. If you're looking for great Italian food in the Troon area, absolutely give Darcy's a try - and be sure to make reservations!!!"
"I love that this neighborhood favorite still has a great vibe. The wine list isn't as extensive as it once was, but still some nice selections. Happy hour includes several food options. On this visit, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the extra crispy honey hot wings. This is kind of our standard order and then sometimes we also order the meatballs trio to share if we're still feeling a little peckish. Great lighting, friendly staff, consistently generous portions for the price."
"Decided to treat myself to a working persons lunch- usually I save money by eating at home.I got the duck sandwich. I GOT THE DUCK SANDWICH!I think all of my calories for the day was in that 1 meal! I'm pretty sure I ate half a block of cream cheese. Sure sure!Super flavorful, could stand to have a few extra slices of meat though.Super sweet people working there. Oh yeah- I'll be back!"
"I was so happy to find this place. I was looking for somewhere to take my pup with me and I love this patio. There are dog bowls outside, and an awesome option for a bark-uterine board with doggie friendly foods and treats for only 5 dollars! As luck would have it, it was also happy hour, and we tried four or five different appetizers, which were all absolutely delicious. The service was great and we will definitely be back."
"THIS PLACE... 5 STAR 100%. Cafe Monarch is heaven. From the second we walked in, we were absolutely taken care of by the staff!! The service is over the top, absolutely perfect! The food is INCREDIBLE. It is gorgeous inside, the bar area is beautiful. If you sit at the bar it's the only place that you can order a la carte. Otherwise it's a fixed menu. We were told that the chef is in his late 20s ((insanely talented)) and everynight there is a fixed menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and truly perfect. I could not tell you what my favorite dish was, except all of them.Yes, it is pricey, but you are getting the very best of the best. If you are on a budget maybe this isn't the spot for you, this is definitely a place where you treat yourself ((or in my case my bestie brought me here for my birthday)). If you are looking for a 5 star meal AND experience I promise you, this place knows what they are doing which is taking care of their guests! I will not be back soon BUT I cannot wait for that day to come!"
"No frills good Italian food and quick service. Pricing is fair but bread is extra which is a bit rare for an Italian restaraunt. The pasta was Al dente and the shrimp was cooked really well. The arrabiata was light and not too spicy. If you want good Italian without a over-the-top Scottsdale boujeeness, this is perfect! Reminded me of home (east coast Italian restaraunts)."
