"Updating my review because they changed locations and this new spot is nice and big! Tried to get here from 16th st but it's easier from Camelback, though there is a way from behind the car wash.They are on TooGoodToGo so my friend and I reserved some bags and came in one weekday afternoon before closing. We got vegan surprise bags and they came with a boxed meal and a dessert. Service was great and we also got some drinks. I got their Frank's ocean which is a lemonade with light ice and 50% sugar. Refreshing and good. My friend got their Butterfly Cold Foam which I tried some and the foam was nice. The food was rice, onion rings, fried purple yam, and fake chicken. It was really good! Had a teriyaki flavor and they had a variety of hot sauces available. The dessert (pain au chocolat) was so delicious, I was pleasantly surprised it was vegan. I would definitely go back and get that again and try some other items!"

"This business took the place of Menchie's, which is a positive change. My friend had been here before and like their freezes, so we stopped in one evening to get some. I got their smore's one and my friend got their cookie one. My dessert came with vanilla soft serve but I swapped it for chocolate instead, and it was topped with chocolate chips, marshmallows, and granola. I love that everything is vegan! It was pretty tasty as well. My friend enjoyed her sundae and got it with a vanilla and chocolate swirl.There are a lot of juice options here (obviously) but I didn't try any this visit, maybe next time. Staff was friendly and the shop is bright and clean."

"Vegan food never tasted so good - A meat eater. I ordered the Country Breakfast Burrito and it was filled with so much flavor from the peppers, onion, potatoes etc. it was soooo delicious! The hot sauce that comes with it is also perfect, very flavorful and definitely a kick to go with the burrito. So glad it didn't taste like water like other places that offer salsa/sauce to go with. Best part - my stomach didn't hurt after the filling/hearty breakfast (: I also ordered 2 donuts to go as well, I will update my review after they've been consumed but they look very promising! The staff I encountered was friendly and I had no issues ordering. There is seating both inside and outside of Nami. There is a beautiful mural on the building as pictured you can see when sitting outside. Being that it is Phx, the entrance to get to Nami can be tight and easy to miss if you don't pay attention to the turn into the restaurant. Definitely give this place a try even if you are unsure of the vegan options - their food is packed with tons of flavor."

"My goodness! Now... I saw the photos and said this looks just like the food I used to eat when I ate meat... let me see how good it is. First of all, everything on the menu sounds delicious. I got the General Tso Chicken and that first bite... oh my. It had a good crunch on it and then went tender and the flavor... ON POINT! If I was staying in AZ longer, I would have gone back and tried all the things. The drinks are also delicious. I grabbed a pink passion. Since I dined in, I had to control my food dancing but trust me when I say you need to visit this spot. Seems like they do a lot of to-go orders but sitting inside is peaceful. When I came in I was greeted and seated instantly. The staff was very attentive. I also appreciated the level of care around cleanliness. This will be a stop every time I'm in town. I don't know how they make this magic but my tummy is so happy!! So comfortable, friendly and did I mention yummy!!! The restrooms are accessible and it's a great place to gather with a small group of friends. Parking lot is medium sized.The biggest surprise was the yummy vegan ice cream made out of macadamia nuts. It's definitely a hipster contemporary vibe. A place set up for selfies in a low key kind of way. Strip mall parking and it was a breeze- no issues. Veggie potstickers were fantastic as appetizers. In fact I like them more than the traditional ones with pork. Miso soup is on the list of available appetizers, and it is fantastic! "This place has been on my bookmark list forever. Decided to check this one off the list and drive from the east valley. Upon pulling in, it's in a plaza, and the shop isn't marked with great signage, but look for the patio seating outside. Also, with the long drive, the restrooms are locked, and you'll need to ask for the key. It's either side of the Mexican food restaurant or their bakery that will have the key. If not, the employee said you can wait outside for the key to come out from another person. Seems like they need to have a key for both sides and not share it between the two concepts. I ordered the dirty matcha and the strawberry lemonade. Both were pretty good and not too overpowered with sweetness. Pairing the drinks with desserts, the pop tart is more like a struddle with light layers of puff pasty. It's definitely worth getting this one again! The Concha was really good, too, and honestly, it was my first time trying one since I've had my dairy allergy 20+ years ago. Very light and bread-like with not too sweet icing. The chocolate sea salt cookie was okay, not my favorite. Thicker and denser but had a good hit of salt with each bite. It's worth a shot. Give them a try!"

However, Green New American Vegetarian really killed it and will definitely be on our go-to restaurant list in the future.We had a niece visiting who doesn't really like meat, so we thought we'd take her to a vegetarian restaurant (these don't exist in her hometown). We were shocked at how good the food was. I started with the crab puffs, which is my typical order at any restaurant with them on the menu - I honestly couldn't tell the difference between this fake crab and real crab. Followed it up with a mouthwatering Golden Curry (I may be weird, but I love tofu). I took a bite of my niece's Damn Dan Noodle, which was a little too spicy for a 10 year old but had great flavor. My husband's Big Wac was absolutely delicious.If you've tried "impossible burgers" and fake meats before and are worried about the menu here, don't be. This place knows how to cook."

"Someone's child was working here just about every time I visited. He was mannerable, but he was sniffing and kept wiping his runny nose with his gloved hand and proceeded to attempt to handle food. I hate to be that person, but I had to call him out on it (only after I saw him start to handle food). I essentially told him that I saw him just wipe his nose, so he needed to wash his hands and put on a fresh pair of gloves. He complied, but he was salty about it. I know staffing issues plague multiple businesses, but you cannot just leave a child to run your business if you want to stay in business.I tried their Bad and Bougie (topped with creme brûlée frosting, raspberries, and caramel drizzle; I omitted the almonds), Unicorn (strawberry frosting, sprinkles, marshmallows, and cinnamon dust), and a build your own cinnamon roll with maple frosting, brownie bites, marshmallows, and caramel sauce. The Unicorn roll was my favorite, but my BYO was also rich and divinely decadent. Snotty nosed kid aside, I like Cinnaholic and campaigned for them to come to the PHX area since 2012. Now this is just one of many locations in the valley of the sun. This location is closest to me, but I'd venture down to Tempe based on what I've witnessed."

I could also totally get hooked on the blueberry cider (I love blueberries) and this was so tasty!! Waitstaff members were wonderful!"

"My son was in town and one of the places we had to hit up before he went home was La Santisima, so off we went!I have been a fan for years, so if you haven't been here yet, you really need to go! We arrived during lunch time and got a table right away. Service was great and friendly. The salsa bar is fresh and has a great selection.One of my favorite go to is the chicken Oaxacan Black Moie Taco, its shredded chicken simmered in this amazing sauce of blend of spices, chilies, nuts, Oaxacan dark chocolate. The mole here is one of my favorites in the valley. So dang good! I have tried almost all their tacos, they even had vegan/vegetarian that are all tasty as well.Go get you some tacos!"

"Since I was in the area, I finally made it over to check out this place. I originally saw Voodoo Donuts-Portland featured on several food shows, so when I heard they were setting up shop in Tempe, I was excited to try them. I figured, it had been long enough for the craze to die down. Upon entering, i was immediately greeted by a young lady that was assisting other customers. After she was done with checking them out, she offered to take my order or check back. I was busy looking at the showcase, so I said i was not ready. She offered a counter laminated product sheet and said she would give me some time. She was very friendly, professional and courteous (Tea D, I believe is her name). Once I was ready to order is was ready to take my order. I opted for a few donuts I wanted to try (for to go) one of which was the infamous Voodoo Doll with raspberry filling & a pretzel stick poked into it. I didn't get to look around too much, but I did notice the bakery/kitchen has large window looking into it. The place was very clean and the smell of fresh donuts in the air. The donuts appeared to be fresh and traveled well on my trip back to Mesa area (in the large pink box). I will definitely return to try others soon."

"Who doesn't love a great story? The owner is an immigrant who moved to the US in 2015. He originally opened shop in a gas station before moving to a bigger space in 2021. I had heard of CDF before. It has been recognized as the #2 falafel nationwide and Yelps #5 restaurant in AZ. S/o yelp squad.I ordered the chicken Schwarber sandwich which was simply amazing. I added spice inside as well as garlic sauce. I dipped it in vegan tahini and had a small 4oz lentil soup as a part of a meal. I genuinely enjoyed everything about my experience. The two guys working behind the counter were super friendly as well. And Bonus: they have Barques red cream soda (see pic)."
