Gilbert House is a cute brunch spot with all the charm of being in someone's home. It is cozy and there are lots of little nooks and corners to sit and eat and have a conversation. I got the steak Benedict and it was delicious. Coffee was overflowing like any standard brunch place. I'm not sure how busy it gets on the weekend but I was here on a weekday and it was pretty quiet.

Such a great and cozy spot! The food was delightful and the service was warm and kind. My fiancé and I went for brunch and will certainly be back!

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I've had in awhile. I entered my name on the sign in sheet and waited to the side. I noticed we were skipped by a few people so I asked the waitress if we had to go in or if the sign in sheet was sufficient. She just looked at me and said "sign in Sheet" and walked away. I watched as we were skipped AGAIN and decided if the service was this bad outside before sitting than I'm not wasting my time on seeing how it is inside. I've had their food before and again , was not worth the wait. I did find it funny how I was the only POC there and the only one experiencing this treatment.

The food was fine. Decent. Mediocre. The muffin was pretty good as well as the side salad. The crust seemed kinda soggy on the quiche but just not something I'm like rushing to go back for anytime in the near future. You know how there's certain places you just can't stop going because of something they have? This isn't that kinda place for me. And with the prices now a days i need that spark. Everything was just fine here...food, service, ambiance...but not worth 75 dollars for 2.5 people pretty much.

Food was yummy, parking can be tricky. There is a wait always but worth it. Cute place wished the outside seats were a little more comfy. All in all we had a good time. Brunch with my favorite people! I did not care for my maple bacon pancakes they came with a whiskey syrup they had soaked them in. It tasted very odd. So our waitress stated they are backed up and it could take awhile for something new. I ordered the California Benny it was very yummy, and came out really quick. You simply must try the home made cinnamon rolls too! Out of this world.

Decided to come here after the Gilbert farmers market and was glad we did. This seems to be an old home turned into a restaurant. It's quaint and has a good vibe. I ordered the spicy chorizo omelet and although it wasn't spicy it was so good. You can tell they use fresh ingredients! I was told to get the infamous cinnamon roll too so I'm already planning on coming back soon to try that. If you want a place that isn't your local chain restaurant this is it!!

This place has kind of lost its magic. It used to be relatively good, somewhat affordable, and with good service; however, that seems to have changed, and price increases in terms of the food and add ons suggest that this is no longer a place for anything but a special occasion... if you want to risk it! You see, the food quality has also taken a hit, and the staff appears overwhelmed most of the time. You also have to wait outside in the heat, which I guess is par for the course in AZ, but I was never offered a drink or anything while I waited. I had a coffee I was carrying around with me for the morning, and no one addressed this or seemed to care until it was time to sit down. It seemed like a non-issue (as this is mostly the case in 2024), but, not so fast, as I was made to go back outside into the heat to leave it in the car before seating. I was not offered another option, such as just ordering another drink, which, mind you, I was planning on doing anyways until I got flack from the staff. There was no sign about having another coffee or anything of the sort posted. Nevertheless, I somewhat understood, so I just complied without any complaint at the time, but then I received undercooked pancakes, and the waitress only came to refill my water once at the beginning. I was left in thirst with undercooked pancakes that that were still batter in the middle, in the end. See pictures! I was only offered a remake and it wasnt taken off my bill. After this experience where I paid over $35 dollars for 4 pancakes (my wife had blue berry pancakes that were just ok), two of which were not fully edible, I'm not sure I can ever go back or recommend this place again! Not as it stands now... the food coming out of this place used to look like the food network, but not anymore! For example, my pancakes that normally get syrup on the side in a small cup, this time it was just dumped on top and not enough. I hope they correct these issues, but I don't know if I will go back to see.

Had breakfast there yesterday with 3 other ladies at 10 am Service was good, but I had requested my egg omelette to be cooked soft. Instead, it was clear the eggs were overcooked/actually scorched (burnt underside and hard). When I brought this to the attention of the day manager (son of the owners) he said 'there was nothing wrong in the way the eggs were prepared' AND that he was NOT going to have the cook prepare a new omelette. I refused the meal. Within hours of having eaten there all 3 ladies also experienced ' intestinal distress' (some minor to major) having eaten there too. Aside from the food hygiene issues and very poor customer service, it might explain why on a Thursday, at 11:30 am, before a major holiday weekend, the place was empty. We'll never return!

The food is delicious, fresh and the portions are great. The atmosphere is fun. We met a couple on their first date too. They told us to have the cinnamon roll. Stephanie was our server. She is kind and knowledgeable about the food. She has the best earrings too.
