"OMG! My nephew and his girlfriend took me to this restaurant for my birthday. My first choice restaurant was completely booked and i honestly was bummed and wasn't looking forward to having to go to another spot.This place is located in a little plaza. It is super quaint and small. Our server was friendly and attentive. We received complimentary bread with this amazing tomato dip. We ordered calamari as our appetizer. Tasty!For my main course, I had Shrimp Scampi with Angel hair pasta paired with a glass of Moscato (my favorite sweet wine). Meal was delicious and a generous portion size. My nephew ordered the chicken parm and his girlfriend had the bolognese. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything I ate here was bursting with flavor!"

After being here for 5 mins - I realized how eerily familiar it all was. It was because it's the sibling restaurant to my other favorite spot, The Macintosh. Great old fashioned cocktails just like Macintosh. Great yummy southern inspired meals just like Macintosh as well. Highly recommend it!"

"I love this place, I totally cleared my stomach out for like a week, must of been the brown broccoli but man it was the perfect weight loss formula for like a week. I could not hold anything down from the back end at all, went through 3 rolls of paper - Pepto was no match for this candida insurrection, and the toilet was exhausted. I am very proud of our Chinese brothers and sisters with the finest of food. Definitely will go again right around my friends wedding, I'll need to fit into size 40 pants easily with the help of some Beijing beef and steak and broccoli. Felt like I was spraying for weeds back there, it was very good food."

I got the burger and my baby got the chicken fingers. The burger was a standard one that you get at a sports bar. Hit the spot, but I'm not sure it was worth the price. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, unless you're really set on checking out the view. I think this review would have been four stars had I not gotten dessert. I ordered the coffee gelato and it was so bad that I could not even finish it. It tasted like a vegan knockoff brand that you'd get at a gas station. I took a few bites and I just stopped. I'm surprised they are serving such poor quality dessert at such a nice place."

"Craving seafood and thought I try something different then angry crabs. Ordered dozen oysters and calamari. Oysters were nice, plump and fresh. Good size oysters and very clean tasting. By the size I'm guessing it's Nola oysters. Calamari was also pretty good. Wish it was little more crispy but had nice Cajun seasoning. Ordered #3 with snow crabs, clams, shrimp, and mussels. Medium heat with they kickin seasoning . I didn't feel like getting my hands dirty so I put on the gloves. Little too big and pain in the butt but kept my hands some what clean. Ordered extra spicy sauce to dip my food in. Not hot at all, little disappointed.Over all clam was yummy, mussels were pretty good. Shrimp with head was not much to eat after removing the shell. Crab legs were also pretty yummy. Over all I think seasoning is way better than angry crabs. Although angry crab spicy is very spicy. Ended up ordering another dozen oysters and snow crab special. I would definitely come here again. Only down side is little pricy."

Good, fresh, high quality seafood flown in daily in Arizona is not easy to come by! They have an awesome every day happy hour til 7 in the bar/sushi bar and outdoor bar areas with $10 signature cocktails and full appetizers available in the normal menu. Please be aware they don't take reservations for happy nor is it available in the main restaurant. Service has always been subpar and the vibes are right! My husband ordered beef gyudon meal and it had barely any meat on it, and we noticed that they forgot his sides of green salad & mac salad, but we noticed after we already left, so it was too late to go back and get them."

"This place is still working out some kinks, but I really liked it for Happy Hour!I live a couple miles from here (and have lived on and off from this area for years) and I think this space has been vacant more often than not and I hope Gecko Grill is finally the restaurant that stays open for a long time.Like I said, I came here for Happy Hour (which they don't advertise on their website but I took a photo of). We got the mini bean chimis, a cheese crisp, and beef street tacos which were all great! I also like the chips and salsa they give you comes with bean dip as well. I will say the margarita I had was pretty run of the mill. Granted, I just got a standard house margarita, but when it was fairly weak (again, even by HH house margarita standards) and the first couple sips tasted lukewarm until the ice settled in). Also, they don't actually have a drink menu available right now. I think this will all come together in time. The restaurant itself is nice and service is friendly. They have a nice patio as well. I'll be back (especially since Happy Hour is seven days a week)."

The restaurant is clean, my order was made fresh, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent.On this visit we shared the Chiles del Gordo, the Sonoran Style Hot Dogs, Ceviche, and Al Pastor Tacos, and everyting was delicious. Everything had great flavor and was super fresh and served hot the Ceviche and Al Pastor was aone of the best I've had in a very long time. On my next visit I plan on trying the beer battered tacos, they looked great.If you're in the area give this place a try. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly/accommodating, and the prices are wallet friendly. Will definitely go back!"

"We were extremely pleased with the flavor of the food at this restaurant. It's a little small and when they open the door the cold breeze comes flying in. However, the service is very good and the food comes out quickly so you won't get too cold if you have to sit by the door.Our foursome ordered tempura sweet potato, veggie spring rolls, Tom kha kai with shrimp, spicy basil fried rice with pork, chicken pad Thai, and chicken with broccoli.It's rare that the entrées are significantly better than the appetizers at Asian restaurants but in this case they were. The sweet potato tempura was really greasy, although it was quite crispy. The thin peanut sauce that was served with it was rather lackluster. They only had veggie spring rolls none with any meat and they had a lot of bean sprouts in them which are hard to bite through so they would string out when one took a bite. They were pretty lacking in flavor and were rather pale in color although crispy.The tom kha kai soup was absolutely amazing. It had a rich, darker color compared to versions we've had elsewhere, they used about four really large Kathir lime leaves, and it had nine whole shrimp. Unfortunately, they left the tails on which is so ridiculous when you're eating a soup that you have to stick your hands in there to break off the tails! If you like this type of soup, I highly, highly recommend it. The large size was $16 and easily serve three for a nice size portion or four for a smaller portion.The spicy basil, fried rice was not spicy enough at Thai hot, however, it had really, really good wok hay, and only needed a hint of salt to make it amazing. The chicken pad, Thai was flavorful and tender, and an extremely large portion. The chicken with broccoli was also good and very mild as would be expected. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely return."

They have a parking lot so parking is easy. English is the second language here but it's not too hard to figure out what you want. Our server was very pleasant and apologized to us for not knowing much English but she did fine. We got complimentary chips and salsa. In reasonable time our orders arrive. We both thought our platters were good. Everything was fresh tasting and prepared to perfection. I had the pescado a la diablo. It tasted like a mild white fish that might be similar to swai. I liked the spicy tangy sauce it was in.Worth a try if you are in the area.3.5 stars"

This location was recommended to us, by a few folks that live in the area or visit frequently. I 100% know why.Staff greeted us as we walked in the door, with big smiles and a gentle hello. It was like visiting a friends house. They verified our reservation (which I highly recommend) and took us to our table. As we walked to the table the other staff members also greeted us with "Hellos" and smiles as we walked by. So incredibly friendly and welcoming.We were brought fresh glasses of water menus within seconds of sitting down and our drink orders were taken. While we waited for our drinks we were brought delicious bread.We enjoyed the bread while perusing the menu. The menu is not pages and pages, in fact it is well thought out and curated to over special meals that all read like a chef special. I can speak for our table that all were wowed by their meals.I ended up with the 4 day bolognese which was absolutely incredible. and I was "sold" on the add on of a 10oz meatball. It did not disappoint. the pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was flavorful, not greasy, it was thick and stuck to the pasta. SOOOO GOOD!! The meatball was incredible. Tender flavorful and hearty. I couldn't finish my food, it was just so much, I wish I lived locally as I would have taken it home for next day leftovers.The service was so very attentive and offered suggestions for drink and food to my colleagues. Great recommendations that went over well and didn't seem forced. The chef came by to check on us. and The owner came by to check on us and chat for a bit. He was very engaged and walked to each table. Such a friendly atmosphere.I 1000% recommend this restaurant. There is something for everyone on the menu."

The only reason I'm not getting five stars is the music it is way too loud !!!! Those guys need to turn it down you can't even have a conversation with them blasting. And also it's like an inconvenience because one of the guys stand in front of the doorway where you walk in and out so that's a little bit of a nuisance as well but they would've had the 5 stars if the music wasn't blasting in everyone's ears."

The menu is pretty all encompassing. Lots of styles and variations to choose from, no matter your taste. We started with the crab Rangoon appetizer. Really delicious small bites with a nice sauce. My wife had the green curry with chicken (mild spice) which she thought was very tasty. She did think it was a bit above mild in spice level in her tasting opinion. I had to try it to verify. Yeah, maybe a little spicy but not by much for my buds. I went with the drunken noodles with shrimp which was very tasty as well. Lots of shrimp in the dish too. The service was fantastic. The two young ladies working the front were both super friendly and helpful in navigating their big menu. We happened to meet the owner during our visit and learned he is also a Sun City resident. So this is truly a local business. We can't wait to get back to try some other menu items!"
