Oh Sala Thai, where do i even begin... This restaurant has surpassed beyond my expectations from what I saw and heard from people. The delicacy of the food to the spirit and atmosphere of the vibes in the place is just inimitable. The cooking and the embellishment on the dishes are just out of this world, it just simply cannot be recreated by any other thai spot. The servers were elegant and considerate. I was admiring the one with the glasses because I was treated with the upmost respect that i have ever received in my lifetime. 10/10 will definitely be coming back.

Our favorite thai food! Everything we have had here has been absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced as well. The restaurant is small and you order at the counter. Service has always been very friendly.

This is a small place in a strip mall. Stopped in for dinner. Friendly staff said I can sit anywhere and provided a menu. I order the chicken satay and the red curry with chicken. The chicken satay was excellent however, the peanut sauce is on the watery side and not really enough for all the satay. I'm sure they would have given me more had I asked.I asked for a level 2 spice for the red curry and it was not spicy at all. It did taste very good but several of the ingredients listed on the menu were not in the curry. Not string beans or bamboo shoots. I mentioned to the waiter and he offered to bring me out a side. He also took responsibility for the mistake but not sure it was his fault unless he told the kitchen to leave all that out or I was given someone else's order. Anyway, the food was excellent, glitches aside, I'll be back soon to try some other dishes!

Great reviews encouraged us to try this place. No frills strip center location, and minimal decor inside. Seated ourselves, and ordered. No iced tea available! How odd! No Thai iced tea in a Thai restaurant?Ordered satay chicken, pretty good. Crab puffs, which were a tad over fried, but very crunchy and pretty good. Fried shrimp were okay, white rice was perfect.Tried the spicy Thai sausage. Not what I was expecting. Not what I had and enjoyed at another Thai restaurant. My mistake, not theirs. When our waiter, a young man whose trousers were falling off and exposing his ass, saw that I had not eaten much of the sausage, he kindly offered to remove it from the bill. I suggested that I pay for 1/2, which was done.Overall, can't say we enjoyed the meal very much. Not a bad place, just not for us.

This authentic Thai restaurant near ASU in Tempe offers delicious and affordable food, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Although the Tempe location is smaller than the one in Phoenix, it's cozy and worth visiting. The owner frequently creates seasonal specials using local ingredients, which always bring a delightful surprise. I've visited several times with different friends, and there's always something new to try. If you live in Tempe, this is a must-visit restaurant!

Found a new favorite Thai joint! I got here when they were just opening for the day. Service was very quick and the food excellent! Tried drunken noodles with beef at spice level 4. Was delicious and spiciness was what I expected. Will be back to try more from their menu.

Returning to Sala Thai Tempe for the second time, I found myself once again immersed in its inviting atmosphere. The Moo Ping (Grilled Pork Skewers) were the highlight of my meal. Each succulent piece, perfectly marinated and grilled, danced on my taste buds. The attentive staff added to the charm, ensuring my visit was delightful.Sala Thai Tempe is more than a restaurant--it's a culinary journey. Whether you're a Thai food enthusiast or a curious newcomer, this gem in Tempe won't disappoint.

Sala Thai Tempe is easily the trendiest Thai place in the city -- and the delicious food, excellent service, and great atmosphere make it a well-rounded place to eat.I usually start by describing the food, but I was SO impressed by their staff. Sala Thai isn't a large restaurant by any means, and yet they allowed us to reserve a table for 11. A wait was to be expected, but our orders came out in a good cadence -- all correct, beautifully presented, and in order. The staff was gracious and efficient, quickly bringing extra utensils, waters, and boxes as needed. The food was wonderful, too. The Thai chicken and rice was moist despite the pretty dark and crispy exterior, and the sauce complimented it well. The khao soi was very flavorful -- though I will warn that Sala Thai is spicier than most local Thai restaurants. A 3/5 is probably what you'd expect to be hot, rather than medium, at other spots. The restaurant has the cutest designs and an adorable Polaroid camera for you to add to the photo wall, too. All the nice little touches were so lovely!

We found this place since it was near us and tried it for dinner on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It wasn't busy but also made sense because of Thanksgiving the next day. The decor looked fine and clean to me. The menu had a lot of food that sounded good and we ordered a lot. We ordered the Spicy Basil Leaves with Fried Eggs and chicken at a spice level of 2 ($14), the Larb Salad ($14), the Yumm Mama ($12), the Spicy Ladyboy Wings ($10), and a large white rice ($5).The food took a while to come out but I thought it was worth the wait. The Spicy Basil Leaves with Fried Eggs and chicken was delicious! Spice level 2 was spicy but didn't make me grab water. The Larb Salad was good, the Yumm Mama was tasty, and the Spicy Ladyboy Wings were okay. I would recommend the Spicy Basil Leaves with Fried Eggs as that was flavourful to me.All four of us were full and we finished everything. We definitely will come back to try other things on the menu!
