"I've been waiting to try this spot for awhile and their hours were a bit unconventional being open only 3 days a week while sharing their space with Thailys. Now that they have their own restaurant in Gilbert I was super excited to try especially with extended hours and availability. The concept is simple: choose your type of noodles, your protein, and spice level.Keep in mind you can always add more spice as they have condiments on the table.Their beef soup was flavorful as I tried it with egg noodle and rice noodle. They are pretty generous with meat so I was pretty happy with the outcome. I wish their business the best"
"My experience was through Uber Eats which is probably different than how you are about to experience but I wanted to tell you about the food. I worked at a Chinese restaurant in college. My favorite dish has always been mu-shu pork. Whenever I see it on the menu, I always order it. My order also included beef and green beans, a bowl of hot and sour soup and an egg roll (that came free with my order). The mu-shu was good but not great. The dish needed more flavor. It came with a small cup of hoisin sauce which really helped. The accompanying pancakes were a bit hard, also a little disappointing. To me, hot and sour soup is either terrific or a miss. Unfortunately, our soup was a miss. We didn't eat most of the large serving. The egg roll was good - just like my daughter's Chinese MIL makes from scratch. It was quite large too. The saving grace of the meal was the beef and green beans. Oh my gosh this dish was awesome! I've never had anything like it. Tender beef slices, stir fried green beans all in a garlicky brown sauce. I liked it so much that I didn't want to share. My family was happy that I did though, they all loved it too. One thing that really surprised me was how well wrapped everything was. Each was in a typical Chinese takeout container but then each was tightly wrapped in plastic wrap. There wasn't even a chance of anything leaking. I don't think I've ever had a delivery wrapped so well. I probably won't be back to Scottsdale anytime soon but I know that I am now going to be on a mission to find something similar to the beef and green beans. Heck, it was so good that another trip to Scottsdale might not be a bad idea!"

We were hungry...we had options...then my best friend said "there's a pretty good Chinese place up here, let's do that." I was initially against it,...I wanted a burrito, but I gave in. This is a sit and order at your table place. We were greeted quickly with a smile. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Lots of seating inside and everything looked clean and inviting. The plates are definitely shareable, but we figured that out after ordering. I got the Biang Biang Noodles with Pork and it was really good! Nice and spicy with thick slices of jalapeño. My friends ordered other entrees that I tasted and liked them. They also ordered the Fish Pot...heads up, that is a HUGE! But wow, it was good. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'll come back....I need to try more here."
"This place is the perfect American Asian fusion. The flavors are definitely not lacking and the food quality is excellent. I'm usually very biased when it comes to Asian food, especially when it's American fusion, but I was extremely pleased with all of the dishes we got. Our server was awesome and the place was very cute and casual. The prices are reasonable for the food that you're getting."
"Very, very, very casual and low key. You might even say they are cut from the old school Chinese restaurants. But if you're craving Chinese, not looking to make a big deal out of the dining experience and better yet need a go-to takeout Chinese restaurant, you've found it.We had the Kung Pow Chicken (level 5 which was not at all challenging if you are hesitant), Hot & Sour soup, spring rolls and Orange Chicken. All of it was delicious. We definitely will be going back especially for take out. Served right on time and fresh."
"We were extremely pleased with the flavor of the food at this restaurant. It's a little small and when they open the door the cold breeze comes flying in. However, the service is very good and the food comes out quickly so you won't get too cold if you have to sit by the door. Our foursome ordered tempura sweet potato, veggie spring rolls, Tom kha kai with shrimp, spicy basil fried rice with pork, chicken pad Thai, and chicken with broccoli. It's rare that the entrées are significantly better than the appetizers at Asian restaurants but in this case they were. The sweet potato tempura was really greasy, although it was quite crispy. The thin peanut sauce that was served with it was rather lackluster. They only had veggie spring rolls none with any meat and they had a lot of bean sprouts in them which are hard to bite through so they would string out when one took a bite. They were pretty lacking in flavor and were rather pale in color although crispy. The tom kha kai soup was absolutely amazing. It had a rich, darker color compared to versions we've had elsewhere, they used about four really large Kathir lime leaves, and it had nine whole shrimp. Unfortunately, they left the tails on which is so ridiculous when you're eating a soup that you have to stick your hands in there to break off the tails! If you like this type of soup, I highly, highly recommend it. The large size was $16 and easily serve three for a nice size portion or four for a smaller portion. The spicy basil, fried rice was not spicy enough at Thai hot, however, it had really, really good wok hay, and only needed a hint of salt to make it amazing. The chicken pad, Thai was flavorful and tender, and an extremely large portion. The chicken with broccoli was also good and very mild as would be expected. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely return."
"Great little spot for takeout. I love Asian food but Chinese tends to not be my fave. But I was in the mood for tofu and to try a new spot so I came here! I got the orange tofu to go with a side of vegetables. It was ready fast. I think only 1-2 people working and they don't have a bell to ring to let them know customers are waiting for them so it took a little while for them to realize I was waiting but not too long! It was expensive but the portion size was pretty large! I got the sauce on the side which I'm glad I did because they gave me a ton and I didn't need that much, I don't like when there's too much sauce on stuff. It said it was spicy but I didn't think it was spicy at all!"
"Came here for an early dinner. Quick service. Nice Chinese restaurant with a full bar. Lots of neat decor and drink specials. We ordered some spicy dumplings. It's your standard Chinese restaurant package dumplings but the sauce they tossed it in was pretty good. Not too spicy. The singapore rice noodles were really good. First bite you can taste the curry and savory flavor. I asked for extra spicy and they put some cayenne powder in it so it was nice and spicy. Also added chili oil. Their Chilli oil was very fragrant. My colleague got the Mongolian beef. It was good and well cooked with good flavor. Prices were reasonable and decent quantity."
"This place just opened and , boy, are we happy about that! The place has a great location and ample parking. The inside is really clean and bright. Lots of booth seating. The menu is pretty all encompassing. Lots of styles and variations to choose from, no matter your taste. We started with the crab Rangoon appetizer. Really delicious small bites with a nice sauce. My wife had the green curry with chicken (mild spice) which she thought was very tasty. She did think it was a bit above mild in spice level in her tasting opinion. I had to try it to verify. Yeah, maybe a little spicy but not by much for my buds. I went with the drunken noodles with shrimp which was very tasty as well. Lots of shrimp in the dish too. The service was fantastic. The two young ladies working the front were both super friendly and helpful in navigating their big menu. We happened to meet the owner during our visit and learned he is also a Sun City resident. So this is truly a local business. We can't wait to get back to try some other menu items!"
"I was very excited for the chance to check out the new Mesa Riverview addition, Mensho. Beyond loving ramen, and a good Michelin inspired experience, the hype around it definitely got me excited! I decided my husband's birthday was a great opportunity to check them out. First and foremost, as people have mentioned they do not have a reservation system You must stop by in person to put your name down and wait on site or return. They do utilize toast so you can see your spot and line and how many parties are ahead of you. They also partner with the next door boba shop for a discount if you want to enjoy before dining. The waiting area is small and tasty, so more of a last option really. I got there a bit after they opened on a Tuesday, not totally sure what to expect and was quoted 45min - 55 min. I asked if it was possible to dine at a certain time or what the procedure was. I was told no and since I was timing my husband's work schedule, as told to return to our my name down again. The hostess ended up helping to accommodate the time a bit to work for us, but it would be nice if there was a fine without having to hope for the best on wait time. The sauce itself was so beautiful, all the wood and authentic touches. Once we were seated our server came and took our order, it felt a tad rushed and the food all came out in various orders, so I would hold off on ordering everything at once, personally. We opted for some of their waygu sushi, the Japanese carpaccio, the corn ribs, the GTO ( Garlic Knock Out) Ramen and Duck Matcha Ramen. The waygu was delicious. You only get two slices, but was great starter. The carpaccio is sliced scallop and though very good and topped with various caviar and a delicious truffle sauce, I wouldn't order again. The corn ribs were good, but also not a stand out for me. I loved my GKO ramen, so flavorful from the broth to the toppings. I did add a smoked egg, which definitely was a must! My husband got the duck ramen and though more subtle and earthier flavor, was till good. We are glad we tried it, but wouldn't go out of our way to try it again. Some of the apps came before our ramen then our ramen hit in the middle of enjoying our starters, with our last app coming towards the end. Timing was definitely off and I would not order everything at once again. I was bummed they didn't do anything for my husband's birthday, which kind of bummers me out, but cest la vie. The whole experience was about 45 minutes once seated. Food was tasty and though not the cheapest meal, great quality wnd we would return!"
"3 stars for my first visit only because I probably didn't get a true viet dish. My tamarind shrimp dish was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I didn't enjoy having to pick off the shell & removing the poopy shrimp spine, but the flavor was better than I expected! Surprisingly, they have a lot of snail dishes! I'm pretty sure it's their specialty, but alas, u won't find any snails in my body! ***Gag face*** U won't find me hurrying to get back here, but I'd definitely come back to try a non-snail viet dish from them!!"
"Amazing food!!! Their shrimp is to die for!! thank you so much :) i ordered on door dash and got it pretty quickly :) their rice is so delicious!! along with their chow mein!! i definitely recommend! :)"

There's finally a place specializing in Thai boat noodles in the Valley! I got Tiew Hang (dry boat noodles) with beef and it truly exceeded my expectation. The beef was super tender, and the rice noodles were cooked perfectly. The flavors were excellent as is - there is no need to add the condiments on the table at all. We also ordered non-boat noodle dishes. Pork Laab tasted just like what you'd get in Thailand. Khao Poon (rice noodle in red curry broth) was also great and can't be found anywhere else in Phoenix. Warm black beans and sweet sticky rice was a perfect end to our meal. The owner was really nice and welcoming. Skip all the Americanized Thai restaurants and give this place a try!

First time eating here in person! Pretty busy on a Saturday night walking in at 6pm. Spacious restaurant with a lot of large tables for bigger parties. There was live classical Chinese music playing as well which is pretty cool! The food here is pretty good and we would return for it. We ordered the water boiled fish which is a HUGE portion and too big for 2 so we had plenty of leftovers lol. Be careful, it's spicy. The biang biang noodles with pork and noodles with cumin lamb were delicious. My only gripe is that they're a bit understaffed. The wait times in between ordering weren't terribly long, but the 2 staff on the floor were quite busy and we had to remind them for bowls of rice to eat with our fish. Sometimes it's hard to get their attention.

Definitely not the typical Chinese menu, but it was great nonetheless. I ordered the Spicy Thai Basil Chicken. The menu said it was spicy and spicy it was. Service was fantastic. #DukeOfEats

I love this place! Delicious food, huge portions, orange chicken is the go-to food. I've explored other dishes, but orange chicken is my favorite. The young gentlemen that work there are super nice, there is also a lady that always remembers me. The place is clean and you will see people eating there, they have some tables. It's a great place to check out.

Decided to try for lunch. We were warmly greeted when we came in. We decided on the coconut soup with chicken (my favorite!) and per our server's recommendation, Garlic and Black Pepper beef. Both were absolute winners. Shout out to both servers, Donny and Kaylee. We never wanted for anything. One thing, I think they would really benefit from a weekday lunch menu. There wasn't much of a crowd when other places around it were pretty full. I can only attribute it to that because it very definitely wasn't the excellent food or service!

Really great little Chinese restaurant. Hidden away off Bell road. The restaurant is totally unassuming and nestled in a strip mall. Went in here for some beef chow fun and Tao chicken. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised with both the service and the food. The staff and very polite and friendly. My food came out in less then 20 minutes and I was on my way home. Food was great. I really loved their beef chow fun. The noodles were cooked just right and everything was well seasoned. I look forward to returning to try their dim sum.

Larger portions than your traditional sit down Asian. The pad Thai was delightful and had a nice kick to it. It was served with traditional white rice that I could have used a little bit more of. The lemon chicken is large! It is probably two chicken breasts that are lightly battered and fried. It is served on a bed of broccoli, drizzled with lemon. The fried rice had chicken, pork, and shrimp in it and came with a lot! The egg rolls were tasty, but served differently as I'm used to as it was cut diagonally to have 4 servings. They tasted good though. The service was absolutely amazing and they continually came by refilling drinks and cleaning plates. The meals also came out super fast! It was really quiet for being black Friday, but it is usually a little more busy as our friends told us. Overall, we really liked the atmosphere as we could enjoy sit down Chinese without feeling fast food service style.
Visit Restaurant Page"First time here for an early lunch. Place is hugh and service was good. When you go to a Vietnamese Restaurant that is called PM Pho, that is a no brainer, you have to try the Pho.Had the Combination Pho that had steak, meatballs and brisket. Served with fresh veggies and a tasty broth loaded with noodles. Never had Vietnamese Meatballs. The brisket was very tender and my next pho will be the brisket, hands down. Very filling meal and a nice surprise."
"I enjoyed this ramen my son and I both did a custom. The spicy miso broth was not my favorite to be honest but still edible just a different taste. I got the teriyaki chicken. Which was good but after eating realized I didn't enjoy it with my ramen and should have done pork. Everything else in my ramen was delicious. My son did similarly but got the pork and loved it. The guyozas I did enjoy we got 6 and they were delicious. Overall I did enjoy my experienc e"
"I visited Surprise Pho on a whim. I craved for vietnamese food and called ahead to place my order. They were helpful in helping me figure out the menu. Since I was in a time crunch I had to make sure the food would be ready. They had it readily prepared for me to eat. I got the hot stone bbq ribeye. I love a hot and sizzling plate. I'm not sure but when I had it for my dine in option.. I was hoping to hear the food crackle and pop. But surprisingly it did not get that effect. I ate the steak that once cut into pieces with onion and bell peppers. It was more like a peppered steak dish. It was mediocre, but I'm assuming it would've been as bomb dot com if they had put it hot on the platter and kept the ribeye steak intact and cooked to our liking. I got the shrimp spring roll, it was rolled thick. It helped make me feel full. I appreciate the customer service at this restaurant. I think they can improve the dated interior. I hope they can better their food. But for anyone in the surprise area who doesn't know pho and vietnamese food like I do, the price is a good options for a quick grab and go."
"First time eating dim sum in Scottsdale. They don't bring the cart around but you order off the menu. They provide all the classic dishes so you won't be disappointed. Nice to have something in Scottsdale."
"Stellar 66 is little out of our way, but we wanted to try it. Very glad we did because they had many of our favorite dishes here. They had a set menu which made decisions little easier. Our favorite was the spicy wontons, which came with lot of extra sauce so we ended up using it on other dishes. Spicy XLB was interesting but probably stick to regular one next time. The garlic spare ribs were little on the dryer side but had lot of flavor. The fried rice and Dan Dan noodles were as expected. They were serving Peking duck at the next table; which looked very good so made a mental note to order next time. Enjoy! Highly recommend!!"
"Cool little boba shop that also sells dumplings and some other Asian foods. Went there for the soup dumplings and the shumai. Both were good. Nothing exceptional. Wish they served the food, not in to-go containers with plastic utensils. Sometimes it's difficult to use that cutlery on this style of food. All in all a good spot. Come by and check them out."
"My son and I visited on a particularly cold day in January. Craving warmth and pho, we decided to check out Pho Chandler. So many people had the same idea because there was a line outside. We had originally planned on dining in, but as soon as I saw the amount of people waiting, I decided to order to-go.We were greeted as soon as we entered. The space is cozy and ample seating. I ordered the Gỏi Cuốn (spring rolls), $6.95, Phở Hải Sản (seafood pho), $17.50 and my son ordered the Phở Đặc Biệt (house pho), $14.50. It was ready within 20 minutes. We requested shrimp only in our spring rolls. It was fresh and the accompanying peanut sauce was rich, creamy, and delicious. My pho came with snow crab, shrimp, and scallop with rice noodle. The broth was flavorful and I appreciated the amount of protein it came with. It was a solid pho! My son's came with house special combination of sliced eye round steak, well done-brisket well-done flank, soft tendon, and trip and beef meatball with rice noodle. He, too enjoyed his pho. Would order from Pho Chandler again!"
"Wow, this has to be one of the best authentic spicy Chinese food I've ever had. I usually don't tolerate spicy well, this place however can make dishes that ranges from none to a lot. They're accommodating. Service is excellent. Lots of things to choose from on the menu, and the menu have pictures in case youre confused! We tried the fried spicy fish, eggplant with millenial egg, the traditional ma po tofu, and snow pea leaves with garlic (not on the menu but most places have it if you ask). Our fish dish came out super salty, it's kinda like a salt and pepper kinda turn out, so we asked if it could be redone and the owner took care of it for us at no additional cost. Large tables available for large parties otherwise most seatings are for 4~6, booths available."
"Ramen: Because comfort food is always souperior."Good Ramen. Good Day."We just got back from Las Vegas, where it is currently experiencing record-breaking highs, only to be welcomed back with more record-breaking highs in Phoenix. Why wouldn't I choose hot broth and curly noodles for lunch?I got the $20 Classic Ramen combo with the 4pc. fried gyoza. I also ordered some Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna on the side for good measure. While the ramen was good, it's far from being the best (or worst) in town. It's a good bowl of noodles you surely wouldn't mind purchasing and consuming, but this isn't a place I would readily suggest to a friend to try. It's a good place. The staff is friendly, the spot is clean, and you can get on the waitlist via Yelp. I wish I could give them 3.5 stars."
"I like the condiment bar. The wait can be quite long since this is a popular place. There are lots of hot pot places opening up these days. Perhaps this may make the wait less due to people going to other places. At a hot pot place you cook your own food in boiling broth at your table. They have a few different options on the menu for your broth. You can't change it once selected at the beginning of the meal. You get your own veggies at a station in the center of the restaurant. They bring you thinly cut meats from the back. A lot of it is fatty but it makes the food taste so good and soft. I like that I can mix my own dipping sauces from a station in the center of the restaurant. This adds more flavor to the meal. Otherwise I think it is bland. The staff is patient and fairly quick. It can sometimes be really loud when the restaurant is full of people."
"When you see a mountain-sized pile of cardboard boxes used for takeaway and delivery orders, you know you're a-bao to get some good eats. ;DWe popped in for some Chinese takeout one evening, and what a delight! We ordered the Beijing beef, chicken ho fun, crab puffs, and small hot & sour soup. The car ride home was pretty torturous as the smells had me instantly salivating. The food held up well during the transport, and everything was exactly what was needed: salt, fat, acid, and heat (and I don't mean the Netflix documentary). Come by and support this local business. This sits inside a sleepy plaza, but this place is nothing to sleep on."
"Second time trying Jeong's noodle and decided to try their jjamppong, spicy seafood noodle soup. Got it to go and it was packed with care to prevent leaks, and with the noodles in a different container so they would get soggy. The soup came with lots of protein and was perfectly spicy. The noodles were chewy with the perfect amount of bounce. Prices are great and portions are big!"
"Just tried out this, somewhat new, restaurant located in North Scottsdale. Red Dragon is very clean and modern on the inside, with friendly staff. We split many different traditional Chinese menu items and thought they were good but not amazing. If you are looking for decently affordable standard Chinese fare with a nice atmosphere and pleasant service, Red Dragon is an alright option."
"What a great hidden gem that is so close to home. I am looking forward to coming here more often. I stopped in at Asian Cafe Express with a group of Yelp friends to celebrate Lunar New Year. The menu here is enormous. There are so many dishes to choose from. I was happy that they have pictures on the wall of their dishes because I was so indecisive about what to order. What I enjoy about this place is the bargain prices and the big portions. Not to mention the food is pretty good!Asian Cafe Express serves up Chinese comfort food along with favorites from Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. They have been a staple here in the Valley for some time and are located by H Mart in Mesa. I ordered the Beef Stew Chow Mein and a noodle soup for my entree. But we ended up doing a lot of sharing so we could each try something different. Overall, Asian Cafe Express ended up being a great recommendation and a nice time with friends. Great service too!"
"Love JINYA! It was a great place for myself my toddler and my Vegan friend. Let's start with the Vegan menu, as a non Vegan it was Fire!!! That was also the word used by my friend. You can't go wrong with their Ramen or Impossible Tacos. We didn't try the other items but these two were huge wins. Loved the non vegan menu as well, Ramen, crispy chicken was amazing! The service and staff were great and attentive. They have an outside patio so if the sun isn't too hot it's a great place to dine."
"I heard good things about this place so the bar was set high. I went late on a Saturday. I was told it was a good idea to come late to avoid the huge line that goes outside the building. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the product. The dining area is small and slightly cramped. I was very hungry so I decided to get two of everything which included drinks, apps, and ramen.Apps:Started with Carpaccio which was scallops and caviar. 5/5Wagyu with black caviar. 5/5Ramen:Wagyu Aburasoba. This was the best ramen dish I have ever had in my entire life. Full of flavor. The truffle was delicious. The wagyu was melt in you mouth tender. Noodles had the most perfect taste and texture. Ramen can not get better than this. 5/5G.K.O. Was recommended by the manager. The was also delicious. Garlic and a little spice. Again a ton of flavor. Broth was perfect. 5/5The place is relatively new. I would preferred if they had a bigger place. They serve beer and cold/warm sake. I hope they bring in sprits. Some Hibiki to wash down my Aburasoba would have been amazing. In the end MR was amazing. I can not wait to go back. If you appreciate quality and perfection in your food they have it here. Even the toothpicks are from Japan made of bamboo. I told the manager I wish I could give them a Michelin Star. Even if ramen is not your thing you need to try this place. I am sure you will enjoy it here."
"Great spot for dumpling, beef soup and the clay pot. The dishes were tasty and def a place I'd come back for. They have good seating do groups work."
"This was the best ramen we have had. The beff ramen was potent with flavor and served steaming hot. It lacked nothing. The sesame chicken bowl was also delicious. The Las Vegas roll was a good touch. When your food is ready, it will be brought to you, one by one, so you know it's not just sitting around until the entire order is ready. Highly recommend and would like to visit again."
"Bookmarked this place to try and decided today was the day! Although, as I got out of my truck in the 120° weather, I thought I surely lost my mind thinking, why would I eat a piping bowl of pho on a scorching hot AZ summer day?!?! So why not? I got the #10 combo pho and it had a lot of decent flavor. They say the broth makes the pho, and this was pretty good. But not the best I've had. Tons of noodles (I picked the chewy) and decent proteins, and a good portion of side topping bean sprouts, mint, and lime wedges. Also ordered spring rolls and egg rolls both weren't bad, but again not the best, especially as they cut their shrimp in half to have each spring roll presented with "full" shrimp on the outside of the wrapper. The downfall is that this place is small, their water jug is self-serve, and not really a full service restaurant. I'm not sure about not having full glasses of water at a sit down, but order your food at the register. Also, the restaurant gets hot. I originally thought it was the jalapeno slice I ate, but it started to heat up uncomfortably where I just wanted to exit quickly. Im not sure if their HVAC system is working well since they installed ceiling fans. Guess they are aware and just have to deal with the heat."
"Tried out the new kung fu noodle location. It was really good. noodles were fresh and I loved their chilli oil and the We got: Dan dan noodles Signature beef noodle soup (choice of beef brisket or shank) we got brisket Chilli oil dumplings Lamb skewers They also have a loyalty program that gave us 20% off our first order"
"Food was hot and fresh. Each dish came out steaming. Each of us chose an entree to share. Chicken was all tender. All white meat chicken. All chicken dishes we ordered had enough sauce to coat the food without it swimming in it. All the chicken dishes we tried had a similar sweetness. Even the General Tso's had a real sweetness to it. Mongolian beef was medium spicy. Beef wasn't chewy. I wish we would have ordered a vegetable dish as well. That is not reflected in the number of stars. More a thought after the food started trickling in, and I realized the kids didn't order entrees with vegetables. A little work could be used on cleanliness. Dining room was completely empty, upon arrival. Having never been here before, we waited to see if we should seat ourselves, or wait to be seated. We were directed to a table against the wall. Floor around and under the table had pieces of dropped food. It looked like a family with young children had been there previously. My hand became sticky from something on the menu. Some brown splatters on the white sweetener packet holders. I could see these things getting overlooked during a rush. I had to take a star away for these being the conditions during an early dinner, where they sat us. Otherwise, Wok Wei would be a solid 4 stars."
"I've been a couple of times. Soooo good! The food is absolutely amazing. No complaints here. And my favorite appetizer was the buns. Everyone is so nice and service is great."
"A nice traditional Chinese restaurant in the heart of Tempe. They have many traditional dishes that are non-american Chinese food. They have those as well. Everything is cooked to order. Staff is on point and knowledgeable on all of their food. Large selection of items at a decent price with large portions. Definitely come and check it out if you want more than just American style Chinese"
