Mighty Moo Ice Cream

If you like ice cream, head over to Mighty Moo in Youngtown. Their ice creams and sorbets are all made there, and they have a ton of selections for combinations. The place is small, dark, with wooden booths inside and outdoor tables in a strip mall on the border of Youngtown and Sun City. They have a steady business, more heavy after the dinner hour. It gets busy. They close at 8 pm. The owner works the counter and patiently answers every question. I had a lot of them. The scoops are generously sized and you won't go away hungry. I tried their coffee flavored ice cream with a scoop of dark chocolate. So good!! I had it with syrup and whipped cream only. Their sorbets looked yummy and I plan to go back and try them soon. I'm not a huge ice cream fan. I much prefer frozen custard or gelato. But this was excellent. MM's also has ice cream packed to go so you can bring home your favorite Moo to enjoy whenever you want.

Family owned place, super cool and fun inside for the kids. I had the sampler platter which was a great deal for homemade ice cream! I chose Prickly Pear, Roasted Strawberry, Jasmine Tea and Lemon Oreo. All were delicious but my favorite was the Jasmine Tea. Also got Mango Sorbet and Acai Sorbet to go, which were very good. Loved this place!

We tried Mighty Moo for the first time earlier this month and I sure wish we found them sooner! This shop is in a pretty plain strip mall, but it's clear that they are the anchor store of the area, so to speak. We were quickly greeted and offered samples upon entering. We ordered banana bread ice cream in a waffle cone and a warm cookie topped with ice cream. With the latter, we were cautioned that it would be a few minutes for the cookie to be baked....as if that could ever be an issue! We both really enjoyed our selections. The shop itself was very cozy as well. During our visit, we were made aware that this spot will actually be closing at the end of the month. Super bummed about that, but we will definitely be stopping in again before they close up shop.

I am currently sitting here eating an amazing brownie sundae and it's AMAZING. Two fist sized scoops of ice cream, a chocolate chip brownie twice the size of a deck of playing cards, and giant heaping scoops of toppings. Topped with whipped cream and TWO cherries! Delicious. The atmosphere is chill and inviting with soft playing music my parents grew up on. You can tell who the regulars are by the way they interact with the staff who are VERY warm and friendly. I highly recommend Mighty Moo Ice Cream and bring your appetite!!! Thank you Mighty Moo!!!

Today when we came, we were charged for a pup cup $2.25. I've never been charged for a pup cup before. Plus it was just a scoop of ice cream. No dog biscuit no whip cream just charged for a kids scoop. Very disappointed I could understand if you were out of biscuits no big deal but first of all I've never been charged for a pup cup before and you didn't even have a dog biscuits Probably won't return here I feel the ice cream is average to be honest. I'd rather drive to the grocery store and purchase a gallon a better quality and guaranteed to like it.

What a great place this is. Its a small but great place for Ice Cream, Sundaes, Milkshakes etc. lots of "normal" flavors. But many not so ordinary. Son said it was the best Cotton Candy Ice Cream that he has had. He wanted a triple. But only two would fit in the waffle cone. He later said " this ice cream never ends. Here is a pic of the Banana Split. Choc, Vanilla, and Strawberry scoops with pineapple, cherry, chocolate and strawberry sauce and of course banana. Highly recommend.

Over "here" on a dogsitting gig & had to stop in b/c I'd heard so much about this place. It's in a desolate little strip mall but once inside, it's a cute spot. Super friendly staff. The variety of flavors was impressive & creative: Roasted Strawberry, Apple Pie, Root Beer, Haboob...I had to try "Haboob" - Butterscotch Ice Cream with Caramel, Mini M&Ms & I think Oreos? It was definitely different. Way too sweet for me. I ended up getting a scoop of Banana Cake. Yummy banana taste, super creamy texture but a tad too sweet for me. Adding too much sugar takes away from all the other flavors & that's all you taste, imo.I loved that they had board games mounted to the wall for customers to take down and play. They also sell Lactaid (for people who are lactose intolerant, which I think is ingenous). Next time I gotta explore more with a Peppermint Milkshake or Reverse Root Beer Float!

Nice find for micro ice cream. My friends had the banana split, and I had a single scoop in a cup of Kona Coffee, and it was tasty. Very quaint and nice seating inside or out. I would highly recommend it if you're in the mood for the real deal ice cream.Service was great, not busy when we went and located in a quiet strip mall.

A group of 5 of us came in and it was so great we had to go back with 2 more friends. The ice cream was freshly made, the service was super quick/efficient, and the owner chatted us up. Also, impressively the owner remembered us from the few nights ago we had come in. There is a cute ice cream play area for kids to pretend they are selling ice cream -- which was an instant hit with kids that came in. I eat a lot of ice cream from locations across the country, and this ice cream was very high quality. It was textured and creamy in a way that the chain stores can't re-create. I loved the Baileys Ripple, Oreo Mint, and the Almond Joy all. Hot fudge sundae was also super good. Highly, highly recommend this place and will definitely be back next season when we are in town for Spring Training.

Question: Why are cows such great dancers?Every surface was very clean and well decorated. Kind of a farmhouse type decor. Work station was well organized and the shop temperature was just right. Clientele was primarily the elderly. Parking lot is large and well kept, easy to navigate. Staff was kind of grumpy, short in reply, but moved with urgency. Dressed apropriately and had good hygiene. The cherry vanilla amaretto ice cream was pretty delicious. Ingredients were fresh, you could really taste the cherries. The cream was smooth and silky. The Oreo shake was pretty good. I believe it was made chocolate ice cream which took away from the contrast with the cookie. Overall, delicious but a little pricey. Next visit I may try a more decadent flavor, something loaded with chocolate.Thank you Mighty Moo, I appreciate you. Answer: they know all the moo-ves.
