Enjoyed a visit at Huss Brewings Downtown PHX Brewpub before a concert recently. They do offer parking validation at a few lots nearby, they have it marked on some signage, which is great perk while downtown! They also have some street parking right out front if you are lucky enough. Their space is split off into a few areas, you walk right into their outdoor patio - with misters and ample shading - to enter the space, to the left they have a TO GO section for takeout, beer and what not and on the right they have a dining area. The indoor space itself is not huge, but does have ample seating and a bar area. We were at right between the door and bar area when we first arrived, which receives a ton of traffic of people leaving and arriving and there is a kiosk for the servers, so we kindly asked to be moved, which they had no problem with. My bestie and I shared the Greek Chicken Skewer Board and a small order of the sidewinder fries. I had the skewer board before and was so impressed with it, this time it was good but did not hit the mark quite as much. it's served with the obvious, chicken, grilled veggies (tomatoes, onion, zucchini), pita, hummus and tzatziki. It was still delicious and flavorful and healthier option while eating out. My friend said the sidewinder fries were amazing and she is a french fry connoisseur, so definitely saying something! THey are a unique sort of curly fry shape, really good. We wanted dessert, but they were unfortunately out of their peach cobbler at about 6:00 or so, so it was a bummer, but hopefully next time!I also got one of their summer sours, I cannot recall what it was. It was good, I like them super tart which this was not, but paired nicely with my meal!I would definitely visit them again, they have a little something for everyone and would be a great option for a quick bite, happy hour or group!

On a sweltering summer day in downtown Phx, Huss delivered much satisfaction. Food and drink was delicious, service was on point, and the environment was comfortable despite the extreme heat. This place is family-friendly. Their beers are clean and full of flavor. As a newcomer, we opted for a flight and all 5 choices were great. The award-winning IPA "Rise from the Ashes" is spectacular and the Koffee Kolsch is delicious. Cactus Valley is also one to try! They do have a small food menu but it works to their advantage because everything is made with perfection; the Greek chicken wrap was a 10/10 and you could taste every ingredient as they stood out. "The Bear" sandwich couldn't be more perfect; beef marinated and braised tender, peppers cooked slightly al dente, giardiniera tangy, bread roll soft enough to soak up the au jus: another 10/10. Huss offers these oddly shaped fries called sidewinders and they're similar to a steak fry in thickness and crisp BUT the huss sauce they come with is literally drinkable. It's a cross between a horseradish and stone-ground mustard, in my opinion, and it's the perfect accompaniment to the sidewinders (or anything else fried). The kids chicken tender plate seemed like it included house-made tenders and they were tasty too. Definitely recommend this place for an afternoon bite!

I have been to Huss Brewing Downtown twice. On my second visit, I went with a large group after our reservations elsewhere fell through. Luckily, Huss Brewing was able to accommodate all 25 of us for dinner on a Saturday.During my first visit, I enjoyed the fish tacos and pretzel and was hoping to order them again. However, due to the busy night, they had a limited event menu. I ended up ordering the Midwest fish and chips and the Koffee Kolsch, their take on the espresso martini. The fish and chips came with two big pieces of fish as well as a generous portion of fries. It was tasty and filling. The Koffee Kolsch was a pleasant surprise, as I'm not a beer drinker, but couldn't "taste" the beer in it. It taste just like a cold brew "espresso" martini I've had from other places. Everyone in the group seemed satisfied with their orders.Huss Brewing is a great choice for large groups, especially those coming from the Convention Center. They provide free two-hour validation parking at Chase Ace Garage and Phoenix Convention North Garage.

Decided to stop in for lunch on a Monday afternoon. It was relatively busy as there is a conference in town. The service was good. I was sat quickly, given an inside or outside preference. I ordered the cheeseburger. It's a smash burger that comes with their Huss sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and mayonnaise. The Huss sauce is bitter, as soon as I bit in to it I didn't want to finish my burger. The bun was thick, and not nearly as toasted as one would expect. The burger itself was cooked well, veggies were fresh, and the pickle spear is a nice touch. I also ordered the sidewinder fries. They were warm but not fresh, seasoned well. The ranch was okay. For a quick lunch it wasn't bad.

So i have moved to Downtown Phoenix and have been enjoying trying new places to eat. So i had the MidWest Fish and Chips. The fish is walleye (its a midwest fish) and sidewinder chips (fries). The fish had cornmeal crust. Let me tell you, this meal was OUTSTANDING. The fish was hot, crispy and moist with lots of flavor. The chips, are awesome too never seen chips like this. The tarter sauce was excellent but the coleslaw was bland it was the most disappointing part of the meal Everything was hot and delicious, id get this dish again. Service was OK im sure they were busier than normal, I ordered a Jack and Coke (not much of a beer drinker) but Huss does not serve Coke products only Pepsi products and the Jack Pour was weak. The place was busy, it has the right vibe for Downtown Phoenix. I would have given this place 5 stars if then drink was poured correctly.

Great selection of beer and an amazing location when you're trapped at the convention center for a cheer competition. We stopped in to grab a couple of beers and a light lunch. Sidewinder fries with green chile pork and cold smoked bacon hit the spot. They were busy, so service was a little slow, but nice outdoor seating and ability to order beer at the bar while we waited. I'm sure I'll be returning in a subsequent visit to AZ for competition.

This place rocks! I ate there twice while in town last week. The beer selection is top notch with the blueberry wheat and tropicream sour being both outstanding. The fish and chips were spot on and the poppers were the best I've ever had! The servers were happy and friendly and made you feel at home. A+

The manager and staff of Husswere wonderful. Everyone had big smiles and was very friendly. The servers were helpful resources when it came to learning about the company and really seemed to take pride in it. Huss was started by husband wife team Jeff and Leah over 10 years ago and has grown to one of the biggest breweries in Arizona. She also owned and operated Papago for many years prior, and they are currently rebranding more with the Papago name. I enjoyed all of the food tastings brought out. - chips and onion dip - could have eaten it all night - jalapeno poppers - a little spice but still yummy - black bean nachos - good lite non-meat option - midwestern fish and sidewinder chips - were better. than expected! The contrast with the tender walleye against the crisp cornmeal coating was nice, and the tartar sauce was a great addition with unique flavor - sausage and pretzel board - was my favorite. Rich flavors and great for sharingI would never call myself a beer drinker as I prefer ciders and sours, but I really enjoyed the tasting flight. I believe it was a good representation of the offerings, and each was unique. We tried: the Scottsdale Blonde, Papago Orange Blossom, Hopaloosa IPA, Rio Salado Mexican Lager, and Koffee Kolsch. I was surprised by actually enjoying the hopaloosa ipa, but the Scottsdale blonde was my favorite. It's so light and refreshing

This was the best fish tacos I have ever had! I was attending a conference and Huss Brewing is attached to the conference center. There was a 30 minute wait but it was totally worth it. Ordered sample appetizer dip with tortilla chips and potato chips and onion dip and cheese dip and salsa. It was wonderful and we could share it with three people.the fish taco was off the chart and it was flavorful. It had a nice crunch and they had pickled onions. Three tacos come with the platter. I server was very nice. She was accommodating to make sure we got out in time because one person w me was presenting. I highlyrecommend visiting.
