"GLENDALE!!!!! HAWAIIAN/CHINESE FUSION???!!!! T&Y(THANK YOU). You guys know what I'm going to tell you about this spot. I'm impressed with this place! Where are you going to find a Hawaiian BBQ place that carries a large selection of entrees? Just look at Uber Eats menu choices. Let's start with the 3-entree meal. I had Orange Chicken, BBQ Beef, and BBQ Short Rib. You heard me say Orange Chicken, right? Orange Chicken batter is a light tempura-based batter. Let's talk about the BBQ Beef. Very soft and tender. The seasoning got me thinking of Chinese 5 Spice more Chinese than Hawaiian seasoning. How would I describe it? Try Chinese Beef Jerky. You'll know when you try it. Macaroni salad is about 6 scoops for a large. Thai tea is good. If you want Hawaiian & Chinese food, this place got you covered!!! Just letting you they got white fish as an entree just in case you forgot to look down at the menu photo."
"This place is a solid 3.5 stars. I went two days in a row (1/15-16/2022) because I was dying for poke. A large poke bowl with 3 scoops of protein is about $15.50 including tax. As someone with celiac, I was super happy that they have gluten free tamari available. Why not 4 stars? My husband ordered beef gyudon meal and it had barely any meat on it, and we noticed that they forgot his sides of green salad & mac salad, but we noticed after we already left, so it was too late to go back and get them."

I'll give you fair warning this place isn't about atmosphere at all. It's pretty basic inside. Very clean, but basic. Super friendly service. And a great variety on the menu.I ordered the mix plate number 3 which was the teriyaki chicken and Katsu chicken with rice and the macaroni potato salad combo. And my wife ordered the teriyaki chicken with rice in the mixed greens salad. The chicken is not chicken breast which is usually a deal buster for me but I will have to say that the way they prepare their food I do not mind it at all. It is delicious. I would say that they probably need to put just a little bit more teriyaki sauce and a little bit more of the katsu barbecue sauce on the chicken. That's probably the main reason why I did not give them a five-star rating.I thought the meal was very affordable we did not get drinks but everything came out to just a little over $32 with an appetizer. I highly recommend going to this restaurant."
"Koi Poke is located inside of a strip mall at North Pima and Legacy near Ironwood Village. This is a build your own bowl kind of place. I don't recall seeing any premade options however the choices are exponential considering layout of ingredients. Chicken or fish bowl and size is also determined by scoops of protein available with base of mixed veg or brown or white rice. Large is 4, medium is 3 and small is 2 scoops of protein. The choices for fish are top quality choices ranging from octopus, shrimp, tuna, salmon, spicy tuna (mixed), Hawaiian tuna (marinated) and maybe another I'm missing. Toppings and fillers are all included except lobster and avocado which are extra but not much more. My wife asked for avocado and while it's another 2 bucks it's half an avocado. They also have a full bar and the servings are very generous for the price and quality. This is the best poke we've had on the continent by far. Excellent customer service and very clean place. I noticed many students coming in for dine in or take out. That says a lot considering there is a McDonald's right next door. Amazing meal!"
"Fresh and generous portions. Great staff. Nice ambiance but we usually do take home. Best Ahipoki."
"Who doesn't want to be on a beach in Hawaii drinking a Mai Tai? When you live in the desert, these tiki themed restaurants and bars are the closest that we can get to that experience. Hula's Modern Tiki puts their own spin on classic tiki bars of the 1960's. It is a great place for drinks during happy hour or to dine at for lunch or dinner. In addition to cocktails, Hula's has a food menu that is a fusion of island and American cuisine.I have had the opportunity to visit all of the Hula's locations here in the Valley throughout the years. This location is in the heart of downtown Scottsdale right off Scottsdale Rd. Their drink menu has a number of popular cocktails that just make you feel like chilling at the beach. The Mai Tai, Hawaii 5-O, Blue Hawaiian and Hurricane are just a few of my favorites. I have yet to gather enough people to partake in a Scorpion bowl. The food menu at Hula's is quite large with gluten-free options and discounted prices at happy hour. The atmosphere is fun and lively at Hula's Modern Tiki. The people here in Scottsdale always know how to have a good time. It can get packed at times. But the vibrant tiki décor and the sounds of Hawaiian music in the background creates an ambiance here that is chill and laid-back despite the crowds."
"Not bad. Ono Hawaiian is better.Got the bbq mix. The Mac salad could be better. The meat was good."
"We rolled through the drive-thru here on our way to the Tanger Outlet Mall in Glendale. It was a half hour from where we were in Scottsdale. We had to get a quick something to quench our thirst and hopefully not pass out before we made it to the outlet, lol. When it's 116° outside, you better STAY hydrated!!So we got a fruit punch and Dole Whip. They hit the spot. I always start to feel a little lightheaded and dizzy if I'm in extreme heat, so a lil sugar fix usually gets me back out of grouch mode. Dole Whip is my jam, and the portion here was just right, and so is the price. I'd pay more than twice in CA, ughhh.Hawaiian Bros Island Grill is reminiscent of Ono and L&L. Idk if they're sister companies, but they serve the same type of dishes. If I come through this area again, I would dine inside to see if the food is legit. The service was great, and we were in and out in minutes. Thanks for coming to our rescue when we were severely parched! Be back soon!"
"Arizona: A wonderful landlocked state known for sushi and Hawaiian food.Isn't that what you were thinking? ;)Pacific Rim & Sushi started off as a food truck and has since moved into this great brick and mortar. The chef grew up on the island of Kauai, so hey, that has to count for something, right? On the first visit, we ordered the $16 Loco Moco and $15 Chicken Katsu. The loco moco was salty, but the chicken katsu was really juicy. Both had portion sizes that were more than generous. The mac salad isn't my favorite, and if you know me, I'm one to usually get no rice and all mac salad, but here, I say keep the rice! It helps cut the sodium level of the brown gravy on the loco moco. What a great spot and some good eats. I'll be back again to try more of the menu."
"Tried this place for the first time. The mac salad was delicious and I enjoyed the rice! It took about 30 minutes for my party's food to come out, but we were super patient. Would recommend if you're in the mood for great Hawaiian food!"
"It's a little pricey but worth it. It's really yummy. The spicy poke is delicious and the chicken I got was very good. Spicy garlic edamame was amazing. Rice was cook perfectly. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'll be. Back for sure."
"Although Gosan is priced higher than other poke spots, the fish and marinades have greater quality. The menu consists of sashimi, rolls, and poke bowls. There are preselected combinations but I always enjoyed making my own. The staff have always been kind and the scoops are generous. =POKE=There were standard bases of white rice, brown rice and salad. Besides the plain versions, the fish came with either a mayo, sweet or spicy marinade. The hot spicy albacore and tuna had a red chili forward profile that brought in the heat. Hawaiian tuna was a mixture of salty and sweet. The creamy wasabi tuna was mayo forward and surprisingly sweet, not my favorite as the wasabi fails to stand out. The scallops are my personal favorite as these plump mollusks soak up the sweet creamy sauce well. I was happy to see a decent selection of vegetables and fruits. Seaweed salad and imitation crab weren't priced extra. Avocado cost more to add on. Although there are sauces available, I wouldn't recommend adding on more given the high liquid content and flavorful marinades already. The sauces primarily had a soy or sriracha base. Very fast service and a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Seafood has always been fresh and I love the ingenuity of the marinades."

Yes! Amazing food. We get this at work some times and the food is really good and the portions are awesome. I always get the BBQ chicken and BBQ beef combo with the Mac salad. So fresh and good. I've ordered probably 5+ times from this place and it's solid.

Love this spot - the pickled radish is my fave. They up charge everything which can get annoying. I'd still recommend.

Aloha Kitchen might not win any awards for ambiance, but it more than makes up for it with its food. Nestled in an older strip mall, the place has a bit of a dingy feel, and the parking situation is less than ideal. The queueing system for ordering could use some work, and the drink and condiment stations often look like they've seen better days. Despite these drawbacks, the place is always bustling, with a line out the door--a testament to its popularity. Now, let's get to the good stuff: the food. Aloha Kitchen serves up amazeballs teriyaki and rice that hits the mark every single time. This is Pacific Islander cuisine done right, with flavors that transport you straight to the islands. The food here is the star of the show and easily overshadows any shortcomings in the atmosphere.Service is pretty standard--order at the counter, and they'll bring your food to you. It's not particularly remarkable, but it gets the job done. The staff keeps things moving efficiently, which is crucial given the constant stream of hungry customers. In a nutshell, Aloha Kitchen is a diamond in the rough. The ambiance might leave something to be desired, but the incredible food makes it all worthwhile.

We have tried various Poke restaurants and we keep coming back here because of the portion and variety of the different condiments. We seem to arrive around 5:30 and there isn't a lot of customers dining in, but a sporadic flow of customers.

When ordering the employee clearly couldn't have cared less. I felt rushed and a bothersome that I was placing an order. I asked for a little bit of the sweet citrus sauce on the rice and greens base that I ordered. What I got was a base that was drenched in sauce and was soupy at the bottom. The choice of toppings and veggies was lackluster and the employee put very small amounts of everything including the cheap ones such as the edamame. For the price I would have to recommend looking elsewhere.

I LOVE Hulas! The staff is always so friendly and in a great mood. I love that sometimes they wear Hawaiian shirts and the whole atmosphere feels like you're on vacation! The drinks are totally on theme and literally all of them are good. My favorite is the margarita and the painkiller! We really love all of their food but the favorites are the beef sticks, potstickers, and luau pork sliders! Which bonus- all are on happy hour! They have happy hour multiple nights per week but Wednesdays is all night!!They don't take reservations under 8 so get there early to put your name in and then wander Old Town!

There's lots of options in this area. This place offers a nice change of pace with it's menu. You can eat inside or there are some small tables outside. You order inside at the counter. They'll call you when your food is ready. We should stop here more often. I'm always impressed with how fresh everything tastes. I had the garlic shrimp this time. They give you plenty of shrimp. It was very flavorful. I had to order musubi too. Love musubi!Delicious!

Clean, good service, got our food quickly. Love that they have gluten free options. The mixed veggie, rice and pork combo was delicious. My husband enjoyed his chicken plate. We were also grateful that there are three size options. The small size was more than adequate.
Visit Restaurant Page"The family and I were craving something different and we been wanting to try Hawaiian food for a long time so we decided to stop by. Walking in felt relaxing. Everyone quite enjoying their food. You order your food at the front and then you take a seat. We ordered the teriyaki chicken, sweet chili chicken and the spam musubi. All were flavorful and were given in huge portions as well. Everything tasted fresh and it didn't feel heavy at all. The food was very comforting and we noticed other items on the menu we are looking to try next time we come like the katsu chicken. Overall, awesome experience."
"Best thing about Leo's Island bbq is their bbq chicken. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. The short rib was also delicious; not very fatty yet ton of flavor. Their macaroni salad was also good. We also tried their pulled pork but it had very strong smoke taste to it. Their chicken katsu also had funky aftertaste...like as if fried in old oil. Hope it was an off day. Willing to try again and update review."
"Their kids meal is a great size for adult lunch and their fish quality is fantastic but the real winner here is the staff. A lovely young man did my order today at around 2:30pm and he was the kindest worker ever. Genuinely happy and smiley and really put me in a good mood. I work in the same complex and he gave me a free drink! Overall 10/10 experience."
"I don't know how I missed the opening of this place, but so glad I saw it today by chance. This area has been sorely missing a great açaí option. Located in three Fey's shopping center just off three 303 and Greenway it's a very, very busy parking lot. I had to park quite a way out and walk over. I was very surprised to find no one else inside. The menu has some great options. I quickly settled on a medium Hawaiian. There is a great amount of seasoning inside as well as a few tables outside with some umbrellas for some hopeful shade. Service was friendly and I had my bowl quickly. The location was clean and the best part was my bowl was delicious! I'm sure I'll be back quite often when in the area."
"We ordered delivery, so this is a bit different than if we were to eat in person. But we thought it was delicious and would totally order again! Their house sauce and ahi tuna is delicious. I did order ginger on my bowl and none came with it, which was a little strange. Our only major complaint is that my husband's large bowl seemed to have a lot less rice than my regular bowl. I'm not sure if that's because they do more meat, but it threw us off. Especially since his bowl was more expensive than mine, and mine was definitely more filling."
"Hawaiian BBQ done rightThis was our first visit to Kahu Hawaiian BBQ and we were pleasantly surprised at the quantity and quality of food, this place is doing Hawaiian BBQ right. On this visit we shared the teriyaki chicken, macaroni salad, and crab rangoon. Everything was piping hot, fresh, and flavorful and the portion sizes are large enough for two. I really appreciate that we were given extra teriyaki sauce was provided without even asking. I recommend you stop by and enjoy a delicious meal."
"My family was craving some Hawaiian food and we decided to stop by Love Hawaiian BBQ on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with spacious amount of parking spots available. We had entered the restaurant and were the only patrons inside. The restaurant was freezing!! Even with our jackets on, it was still really cold inside! The menu had a lot of options on it such as the followingChicken:Hawaiian BBQ ChickenChicken KatsuTeriyaki ChickenOrange ChickenLemon Pepper Chicken BreastBeef:Hawaiian BBQ BeefKalbi Short RibsKalua PorkSeafood:Island White FishCrispy ShrimpAfter reviewing the menu, my family and I selected Loco Moco Chicken Katsu and Kalua pork with Rice/Mac SaladChicken Teriyaki with RiceKids Meal: BBQ BeefThe price was relatively inexpensive, approximately $45.00 for the entire order, but the portions were small. It took around 20 minutes for the entire meal to be cooked. The Loco Moco was decent. The hamburger patty was burnt and small though. The scrambled eggs and gravy was delicious. The Chicken Katsu and Kalua Pork was okay. There was a lot of breading on the Chicken Katsu. Overall, we had a good experience at Love Hawaiian BBQ."
"My concerns and sympathy goes out to all of those affected by the fires. I had a weekend with Maui on my mind. I volunteered with a group to raise money for the Maui Fire & Disaster Fund with Maui United Way on Saturday. When I saw this place the next day, I took it as a sign. There is no such thing as a coincidence.Maui Hawaiian Grill served up some decent eats. The guy at the register was really nice and I enjoyed my Kalua Pork with Cabbage. I got my usual of all macaroni salad and no rice because I like to give my doctor something to worry about. ;D The kalua pork was a tad on the drier side but the mac salad was good. Just add some black pepper and keu a ka 'ono!I spent $16-something for my plate (including a $3 drink). Money well spent. As both the Phoenix and Honolulu Online Community Ambassador, I am sending my love to the islands forever and always."
"Want to satisfy your Hawaiian eats? Come check out Big Island Hawaiian! I got the BBQ chicken which came with steamed broccoli/cabbage and macaroni salad. All items were filling and delicious. The bbq chicken was so tender and juicy, was dry. I enjoyed my meal and will be coming back. Tables were clean. Staff was great!"
"I ordered a BBQ Plate with chicken, a side of macaroni salad & spam masubi. I loved the food, the taste was great! I will definitely be back! My boyfriend picked up the food, it was quick & easy pick up."
"Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a chain of casual Hawaiian Style lunch plate restaurants. Ono in Hawaiian means good or delicious.........This is about the Glendale location. It's casual and you order and pay at the counter. The person taking the order made an error ringing the order in but read the order correctly. It took a different person to make the order correct.I got my Island white fish & BBQ chicken combo. I thought it looked good. I take a bite of fish and it taste like oil. It's mushy inside and gross. OK then I move on the the chicken. It's grilled nicely and caramelized....and tender but.....it taste just like soy sauce.....and it hard to keep eating it because it just taste like soy sauce.....The rice was ok and the macaroni salad was a little dried out. The steamed (steamed???( vegetables were DISGUSTING they were full of oil. I consider them not edible. My husband tried the BBQ Combo (beef, short rib, chicken). All the meats tasted the same. They just taste like soy sauce. And he was served the same oily vegetables.Every THING could have been better. Error ringing in order. Oil soaked fish.beef and chicken taste flat and taste like soy sauce.OIL LOGGED VEGETABLES.Even the condiments don't taste good.My advice is that you should hire culinary students. It couldn't hurt.Ono or is it Oh no!The other Hawaiian restaurant in the area is like 100 times better in every way."
"Should I have gotten one of their yummy, super fresh rice bowls, probably, but the dole whip was calling my name!!! So unbelievable good!!! Dessert before dinner really is a thing!!!!"
"Quick and friendly service, fresh and delicious food, great protein options with a variety of bases and toppings, definitely worth a try! Planning to come back."
"We were so excited to try Hapa foods. The garlic chicken and garlic shrimp was sooo good. We love that they have 2 big scoops of rice! Most only give one small scoop. The Kalua pork was good but just a tad bit on the salty side. The malasadas are a must if you go!! So delicious. The lady who took our order was so sweet and friendly! And I loved the soft colors and beautiful paintings! We'll be back to try the sorbet and guava cake!!"
"Koibito is my FAVORITE poke place in AZ so far. I miss the one that used to be in Peoria so much! I went there daily it felt like. I love all the different options and everything is FRESH! My favorite is double salmon double tuna with no base (it makes for 2 meals for me). The sweet chili lime sauce is my favorite and I love the edamame, green onions, masago, crab salad, shaved Brussels and extra seaweed salad ($1 extra). Now the large bowl I get is like $20 so yes it's a bit pricey but so is sushi and this is like my sushi with all the goodies minus rice. I wish there was one closer but who knows, maybe in the future? Until then I'll have to drive across town to get my favorite poke fix!"
"Pretty good! We tried some kalua pork tacos and malasadas at the Street Truck Festival. The kalua pork tacos were pretty small, with more of a focus on the pulled pork rather than the taco as a whole. The meat was moist, and had a nice flavor, although I do feel that Golden Hawaiian BBQ has better kalua pork. The malasadas were the "Secret item" of the day (Show them their Secret Item picture from Twitter and you will get them in a little paper bag). This was my first time trying them, and they reminded me a lot of Chinese-style doughnuts. It had a nice sugary outer coating, with soft fried dough on the inside. If they are in the area, I'd definitely like to try Island Loco for more Hawaiian style eats!"
"Made my own salmon bowl with the works. This is my second time and the service is always friendly. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Great spot, recommend."
"I enjoy going to the old town Scottsdale location. But, this location seemed to skimp more of the toppings. I asked for extra rice and was only given a tiny bit more. My non-fish eating, friend really enjoyed the fresh grilled teriyaki chicken breast on rice bowl for $10. It was his first time at a poke restaurant, but loves Panda Express and Chinese food. The interior is basic fast casual dining with TVs playing fail videos."
"I'm a regular at Pokitrition and enjoy the freshness of the food here. Pokitrition is known for their Hawaiian inspired sushi bowls and burritos that you customize yourself. They were started by some ASU grads and have a few locations across the Valley. I came by here to try their Hawaiian BBQ inspired menu items and got some Katsu and Kalbi Short Ribs. They have spam too. I like that they are adding more items to their menu. This location is located right off the 101 near the Talking Stick area and next door to their sister store Rewind Desserts. This is a great spot to grab some Hawaiian themed cuisine and then some ice cream or boba afterwards."
"I'm a regular here for these amazing fish tacos. They come in a pair, made with mahi and topped with Cole slaw, diced mango."
"Now I somewhat have an idea about the afternoon action of Downtown Phoenix. Well, it took me long enough to figured that out. There are more lunch options in the downtown area. With some good options in the area, I ran across this small Hawaiian dining spot for my final meal in "the Valley of the Sun".You can either order at the counter or if you are in a hurry, order ahead through the Door Dash app. I was looking at the menu above the kitchen. The café has your usual Hawaiian dishes, like the chicken katsu in which I was craving and ordered for lunch for $10.50. The meal also comes with rice, macaroni, and greens. What this place also have is brown rice for $1.50 extra. Not many places offer brown rice, but I just became a fan of the brown grain. There are some tables for dining in. But I took my meal back to my hotel. The chicken katsu meat was thick and cooked nicely. The brown rice was a difference maker with my meal. This was a solid meal."
"Love this place. I have driven by many times. This time I stopped to check it out. Hawaiian/Asian fusion. Sign me up. Prices are good, portions were nice. The Jalapeño Roll is my favorite! The short beef ribs were delicious. Also Cream cheese ragoons bomb! It does get busy at certain times but the owners are so nice. They are working hard. Thank you for all you do. Glad to have found you. I have only ordered- my food to go, as it is a tad bit small inside. Casual setting. Food is fabulous!"
