Happy Buns - Your Local Asian Bakery

This is a bakery that also shows up to various events around Phoenix such as night markets, cultural events, and food festivals. They tend to sell out when at these events so either get to the events early or make pre-orders. They sell Japanese cheesecake and butter moochi. We tried out their matcha butter mochi's which were $5 a pop and they were definitely above average.

I found Happy Buns at the dumpling and bao festival in chandler... and oh my goodness, their coconut & red bean buns are like little pillows of heaven. They're so soft and just the right amount of sweet. So happy I tried them!

Happy Buns is a great example of what a bakery can do during the pandemic. Their at-home baking kits have been a huge highlight in my life these past 8 months. The baking kits arrive very quickly and have everything you need in them to make tasty Asian treats! I love seeing what new recipes they come up with every month and challenging myself to make some of the more interesting and technically difficult recipes (but there are also many that are super easy)! I love being able to offer friends and family something new to try that they've maybe never even heard of before. Thank you Happy Buns for all that you do!

Such a wonderful bakery. Jen was wonderful with communication regarding the custom ube mochi birthday cake and it was out of this world! Still craving it to this day and hoping they open up a bakery in Denver :) Highly recommend!!

Used them for catering for an office event. I order three different things and all came out delicious and beautiful! Communication was easy and super prompt emails. The pickup was easy and everything was well packed. Highly recommend!
