Comedor Guadalajara

Always great food and service. If only there hours were more extensive. The only complaint ever is there not always available, while it's understandable it's just not as accommodating. Wish they would team up with door dash or uber eats.

I had heard so many great things about this restaurant and was able to finally try it! I've heard from a lot of ppl that it can be a long wait at times and they don't take reservations. We decided to come right at 10am Saturday morning when then open and sure enough, they already had a line! The location is very big with a lot of seating. It's clean and you definitely get great service! The chips and salsa was sooooo spicy. I feel like a can handle a good amount of spice but this was so hot I couldn't enjoy the salsa. I got the combination plate with a beef taco and beef enchilada, that comes with rice and beans. The food was great! Came out hot and fairly fast. I also got a house margarita on the rocks. The margarita was not very strong for the size and it was $15. Others in the party also enjoyed their food. They were definitely on top of filling the waters and coffees. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Walked into the restaurant with a wait, but the hostess was good and my waiter did a nice job. They brought out some soup, not much flavor and oilish. The chips and salsa was good. Nothing special, salsa had some kick to it. For my main meal, I had one of the combos. Bean and rice was normal. Taco meat was bland, but the actual taco was good. Second came the cheese enchilada. Pretty bland. And finally a burrito with green sauce. Probably the best part of the meal. It is one of those places, if you are around go check it out.

Don't let the location fool you. This restaurant is huge and you will wait for a table. But it's worth it! Great service, excellent food and nice atmosphere. Would add this to my must visits for local food in central phoenix!

What a bummer to have to write this review after coming here since I was a teen. This is the second time in the last couple months that I've come here and I hesitated to write a review the last time because I figured an off day but after today I see that it is not. Idk if they have a new cook, new cook staff or what but the food has definitely went downhill. I ordered Machaca and chilaquiles and I left my plate. The Machaca idk had like a fish taste or something off... the beans taste canned now..not sure if they are or not. The wait time to be seated, to receive your food is pretty long. As sad as I am about this as it's been my favorite place for so long, after covid it seems like they never recovered or something because it has definitely went down hill.

I recently visited Comedor Guadalajara and ordered their chicken taquitos plate which comes with rice and beans. I don't have much to say besides the meal being okay and not worth the price. Although the dish was well-prepared, it didn't particularly distinguish itself from a fast food restaurant. Given the buzz around Comedor Guadalajara, I had anticipated something more unique.

Located just outside downtown Phoenix, Comedor Guadalajara is a spot where you can find familiar Mexican dishes. I had the taquitos on my visit, and they were decent--nothing extraordinary but satisfying enough. The highlight for me was the side of rice and beans, which I found quite enjoyable. They were a comforting addition to the meal.

Delicious wonderful really enjoyed it so much forgot to take a pic! My wife was still eating away and I had been done!

Bianca is our server and is friendly and very knowledgeable. I must say that this is a very authentic, fresh and delicious!Really nice mom and pop restaurant.I would highly recommend and suggest you check it out.

If you want to eat you can probably expect a wait! (We arrived at 11:05am on a Thursday and had a 25 minute wait), but it is worth it!Once you get inside the dining rooms are open a spacious. No crowding. We had items off the lunch specials menu and they were delicious. Chicken chimichanga and the flauta with cheese enchilada. Both came with sour cream and very good guacamole!Prices are reasonable. Service good. Recommended.
