I just saw this Charleys and I was pumped to have one closer to the house... till I realized it's in a Walmart. That's not a good sign but we are big fans of Charleys so we made our way there anyways. This brand is clearly franchised and I'm betting it's the same owner here in south chandler and at the outlets cuz those locations are uniquely poorly run. You spend all this money to open locations and then miss on the little stuff that makes customers come back. Spend a little more training, motivating and inspiring your team and you'd be amazed what could happen. Anyways - about this visit. One staff member working which means she's taking orders and having to go cook. No knock on her, she was working her tale off but how do you operate a business like this with one person on staff. So our food came out slow and I'd bet she cooked the sandwiches and then waited on the fries cuz the fries were fine but the sandwiches were cooling down.I ordered gourmet fries and they weren't in their own dish but rather on the basket... like without the paper covering spots. I'm betting these baskets don't get washed thoroughly enough for food to be served right on them. I eat at Charleys all over the country and lately they've been serving in a cardboard container which is much nicer but even if this is the way it's supposed to be... gross.Was harassed by fly's the whole time we ate and the general lobby just needs to be cleaned more regularly which is hard to do with one person working.I just wish my Az brethren could experience a real Charley's cuz the ones in Az aren't it.

Came here today with a co-worker for lunch. About 11:30 a.m. Gal at register said She had no soda, only lemonade. One person working in the back on the grill.Order a small cheese steak with mushrooms, onions and mayo only.French fries and a drink..Since we are working it is important we get our food somewhat quickly. People in front of us were still waiting. It took over 10 minutes to get our food.And it was pathetic.I looked at it and told them it was super disappointing. Another girl from the back came out and glared at me. My coworker and I were chuckling at the fact that I was going to write this review.

My grandpa comes in with my little cousin getting a drink and told us they got free fries from ladies working in the back, next my grandma was done shopping we order food let them know we want another order of fries with wings but when we got our food no fries were given they told us we didn't pay for it the first time but no we actually order another order of fries so 2 girls working one with glasses making food, one with no glasses running food/calling food out gave me and grandparents attitudes and rolled eyes laughing at us, telling the cashier guy that we didn't pay for the fries, he was also rolling his eyes and giving attitudes mumbling words to me ( he mumbled bitch ) I asked for manager there's none on site as they laughed I asked to file complaint they just laughed smiled and ignored me

The boneless "wings" are merely chicken nuggets. The steak tasted like it was from a junior high cafeteria. I ordered the regular Philly steak sandwich and just asked for it with "everything", the way they normally make it. I got a sandwich with no peppers, onions, or mushrooms, but instead lettuce, tomato, and a pickle slice. Wtf? I had to dump an entire salt packet on my sandwich to make it edible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Here eating right now waiting for a tire to be installed by Walmart Auto Dept. Dining room is clean. Had an Original Philly $12.99 and added $4.48 to make it a Combo $18.89 after tax. I clicked on No Tip as I don't tip if I have to order at the counter, pick up my food when my number is called and fill my own drink. The sandwich was more like a Roast Beef Sandwich than a Philly, never had mayo, tomato and lettuce on a Philly. I ate at a table and had to fight flies so not happy about that. Had fun watching the folks get water cups and then fill up over and over with soda!!!! LOL I will not be back. Will go to Philly's Famous, I'll pay a bit more but it's well worth it.

At this point, another customer walked out mid-order without her food because they were taking too long. Filthy environment. Flies everywhere. Rude workers. If I could rate negative five stars, I would.Wouldn't eat here again if the food was free. Disgusting

The sandwich I had was *Chef's Kiss* DELICIOUS and fresh! I had the Chicken Philly. This facility was squeaky clean and the staff was generally cordial and kind. Unfortunately, the cashier on duty didn't really walk me through the transaction (this was my first visit) and I didn't really know how the combos or sizes worked, nor could I really hear them because they were a little quiet. It wasn't really communicated that my order did not include a beverage so I did need to make two transactions.I feel that if Charley's expanded, that they would need a drive through!!!
