He said it was an Italian chai. I'm just hoping to get back for another one before we leave! Service was great. They were so kind and friendly and helpful with what we wanted. Let us put two tables together so we could all eat together...it's super cute in there and chill. Great patio but a little too warm this time. Again, I hope to go back and try out the patio!"

Waited for only a short time on the shaded large covered outdoor patio for Dave the Hawaiian shirted front" man host to call us to be seated . We had basically the same orders as previous visit , Benedict , chicken fried steak , big scramble w Birria extra topping ( I could not finish it took home) & young granddaughter had big kids hamburger on Brioche bun w fries , plus added the coconut " Hawaiian pancake to share . All very good , we returned to enjoy the whole experience. The service is very good and efficient . The surf /beach decor is fun like visiting San Diego . There's a small counter , old working jukebox , & surfboards hanging all over . The booths very comfortable. I assume the lunch items great too . I'll ( we will ) be back !"

Marie B. "7 years since the last review. I did not ever live here yet!Hillside Spot has consistently been the best place to eat for us over the last 7 years! We have tried almost everything on the menu and have not found one thing wrong, or lacking in any way with any of the meals we were served. My favorite is the 50/50. I like to get a sandwich or salad with whatever soup they are serving that month. Again have always been impressed with whatever the soup is and adding a salad or sandwich to the makes it just the right amount of food. I am diabetic and my hubby is pre-diabetic, so the most wonderful thing for us is that we can order great-tasting food and not worry about our blood sugars getting out of control. Yes, we try to stay away from fries, chips, etc but Hillside offers fruit or salad as great alternative sides to choose from. Although their fries are delicious, we will share them once in a while. Choices! That is what we love most about Hillside Spot.Service is always good. I like that they hover on the periphery and are not interrupting with questions, but are there when needed. Finally the beer list. The beer selection is very good. Hubby likes to have one once in a while and the selection is great. Even have Wren House!"

Janelle F. "While out and about on Saturday afternoon we decided to stop by west gate for some drinks and possible food. Our first stop was a dud and the music so loud our ears needed time to calm. We saw Opa Life and no wait so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated right away. The noise level was great and a few TV's at the bar were playing sports. The menu is small, but had some great options. We weren't too hungry as we'd ate earlier in the day so we decided to share the chicken souvlaki skewer which comes with two sides. We chose the Greek salad and rice. We ordered some beer and water. Beer was cold and water refreshing. Our food came out quick and was plated phenomenally. From the first bite to the last it was all delicious. I'm so surprised at the lack of customers. It's bright and clean inside, service was good and we had no issues. The other patrons inside seemed happy as well. This was our first time here and of course I've not tried other menu items, but I felt portions were huge and enjoyed it. The servers I will say looked bored, one sitting chatting with someone not sure if customers or owner, others just grouped near the front. Hopefully it's not this slow everyday."

As soon as we walked in the guy who works there (May even be the owner) didn't say one word! He continued filling the chips without making eye contact or acknowledging us for being there. He went to the back and came back out and still didn't say anything! I then said hello so he could help me. I ordered a raspado and then some women got there who also may be the owner and put something away right by where I was waiting to pay and she didn't say ANYTHING! Rashmi G. "My husband and I both had Cafe de Bangkok bookmarked for quite some time and finally got the opportunity to stop by for dinner. We had gone in the late afternoon, around 4:30pm on a Saturday. As expected, they weren't very busy but had more people comeing in as it grew closer to 5pm.Our sever made some recommendations from their menu; we went with the Yellow Curry with chicken (mild / medium), Guay Teaw Nam Tok (hot), and roti bread. The curry was nice and thick with a good amount to chicken and potatoes, it also had really good flavor. I typically don't like much spice but agreed with the recommended mild/medium spice level as it added a nice kick. My husband really enjoyed the noodle soup. It had a nice broth that had a good balance of spiciness and tartness, it came with a nice filling amount of noodles and pork/meatballs.Overall, we were very satisfied with our food. Their menu consists of a lot of the traditional items you'd expect to see at a Thai restaurant but they have some that I've never heard of before as well. I'm looking forward to returning to dine here again!"

They offer so many food stations, from healthy eats (yes please) to a make-your-own-pizza area. My favorite combo is when I hit up the Salad bar and fill up on salmon and greens combos, along with a nice warm fresh soup. They make four soups EACH day! Another good option is either a healthy bean burger or their fresh fish of the day...yes they have a number of fish options! They have to feed a lot of people, so its a lot of options to go around. Its amazing that they have such a healthy push at the cafe. I work across the street where they have a horrific greasy fast food joint. Sadly most people on this side prefer the burgers they push out...ick. But at this Rev Cafe they push a lot of healthier options on everyone, especially as you walk in. As a health-nut, this is fantastic in my eyes, I wish you saw it more in general. It might give people the chance to see the "lighter side" of life and cooking. If you have a friend who works at UPX, and you happen to want to meet up for lunch, you will find something to eat, for a relatively low price made with high quality ingredients right here!"

" (Weird Al, parody of "Desperado") Much like my own inner circle, this cafe is quirky, welcoming, and comfortable to hang out with. It also provides a cool respite for those melting in the scorching Arizonan summer heat (It's a dry heat, they said!)Thirsty and exhausted from our walk, my girlfriend and I stumbled across Inner Circle where we cooled down with an iced tea and the most heavenly blended cherry mocha. It was neither overly sweet, nor did it have an unpleasant artificial aftertaste. It's not on the main menu, but ask for it!While loafing with our drinks, we decided we needed toast--a pre-lunch snack, or "snunch", if you will! My friend ordered the Avocado Toast, topped with tomatoes, cucumber, and sprouts, while I ordered the Nutella/Banana Toast. Both were smallish, tasty portions with thin toast, fitting the bill nicely. Eclectic art on the walls combined with conversation piece coffee mugs that instructed one to "Do epic $*!t" and "Let that $*!t go" served up humorous entertainment during our meal. Properly refueled, we left on our merry way, keeping in mind our new motto: Do epic $*!t, let that $*!t go, and come here with your inner circle."

Was craving pork roll (it's a Jersey thing), my husband had the day off for our anniversary and were going to be close by for another errand so 40th St. was the perfect spot. Ordered my regular breakfast sandwich subbing the pork roll for standard breakfast meat. ($3.99 upcharge but well worth it). Husband ordered the Polish sausage breakfast. Place is full of regulars the wait staff know on a first name basis. Food comes out quickly and hot. Mine was perfect. Husband's would have been but he ordered hashbrowns but received home fries. Home fries cooked great but he hates potato skin. His scrambled eggs cooked nicely and polish sausage split and caramelized on the flat top. My sandwich was as it always is. Bread and pork roll griddled perfectly. Egg over medium, cheese melty. This sandwich is a taste of home for me. Two eggs instead of one would have made my year. This little spot serves great breakfast at a decent price. Personable customer service in a clean atmosphere. Thank you 40th St. Cafe for making my anniversary breakfast a wonderful experience."

Janelle F. "As an avid Cold Brew drinker and lover of all things local I made my way to Peoria's newest and locally owned coffee shop Wild Pine coffee Co. located off Lake Pleasant just off 99th ave. One of the things besides the drinks of course that I look for in a shop is the vibe of course. How a place makes you feel when you walk in makes it or breaks it for me. Don't let the outside of the shop fool you. Located in a small strip mall next to a Walgreens and a few other local food spots nothing stands out. There are a few outdoor tables to sip and enjoy while the weather's still nice, but the inside is where it's at. With the dark green walls and great pops of color coming from the catchy neon sign, yellow accent chairs or that cozy couch; you'll find a perfect spot to sit and chill. If high table top or bar is better for you'll find that too. There are plenty of outlets to bring a laptop and get some work done. The menu is pretty vast ranging from cold brew and lattes to lotus energy drinks and teas. If you're hungry they've got you there too with some breakfast and lunch options. I'd already eaten breakfast or I'd of probably ordered a breakfast Sammy. There were a few people ahead of me so it gave me some time to look over the menu. I was greeted right away with a smile from the owner and told she'd be with me in a moment. She was whipping those drinks up quick and it was no time before it was my turn . As I said at the beginning of my review I love cold brew. If you frequent my reviews you know this already. I knew right away I'd go for my usual a sf vanilla cold brew with a splash of hwc. When I try a new spot I like to also go for a latte or something as well since I'm not a huge fan of energy drinks and wasn't feeling tea today. I ordered a campfire iced latte as well. While I waited my son and I looked at some of the decor and merch for sale. The owner was very kind and our drinks were out in no time. My son doesn't not typically enjoy coffee of any kind and if he did at all I thought for sure he'd choose the campfire latte over my cold brew because cb is a stronger flavor and the campfire would definitely have more sugar and smoother with the milk. To my surprise he enjoyed the cold brew so much more that I had to purchase a second one for myself ha ha ha. Now to the important part you've all been waiting for the coffee itself. The cold brews were good. I will say it had more of a sweet type taste I couldn't really put my finger on. While it wasn't acidic like some cold brews, it wasn't a strong coffee taste to me either. I wish I'd of asked where they get their coffee from so I could tell you. Next time I stop by I'll find out. The campfire latte I wasn't as much a fan of. It was ok, but I think the flavor just wasn't for me. With all the chocolate, caramel and brown sugar cinnamon I assumed it would be sweeter. I'll definitely be back to try some other drinks like the tea, a few other lattes and of course the food so I can make a more informed review. The service, vibe and the cold brew passed the test this go round. If you live nearby or are visiting check this place out and support local."

Secondly, we tried their over the counter bakery items and mostly satisfied with it except one incident when the pastries were frozen badly with ice crystals and it did not taste good at all. At least not when you pay hefty price for the pastries.Coming to price, this place is not cheap at all and don't go if you are looking for similarly priced cakes as in Walmart, fry's and other super market.
