"Really cool place in downtown Gilbert. Very trendy fun environment. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The decor was really nice and all the staff seemed fun and upbeat. The food was pretty good. Maybe a little more visually appealing than it tasted, however. But definitely not bad. My wife had a few of their tacos - the pork adobada, the standard, and the crispy fish. The positive was they were generous with the meat, but it was a bit salty. I had the green chili chicken burrito. It was pretty good. But also thought it was a bit salty, and couldn't taste the chorizo in it. We also the flinstone churro. That we were not a fan of. It was really dry and hard.Overall, pretty cool spot. Would definitely go back."

"Perfect spot to grab some authentic tacos. Crispy chips and savory salsa was provided to munch on while we waited for our meals. Their taco platter, which came with four corn tortillas was so filling and yummy. Rice and beans were delicious as well. Crispy Brussel sprouts rounded out the meal perfectly. My boyfriend told me that the tortillas are freshly made by hand, and they are near perfect -- so good! He ordered a chicken and two carnitas tacos, I got a fish, carnitas and barbacoa taco, and we got the chicharrones. I will say that the tacos were very oily, as in dripping, but that also adds some flavor. The fish taco, which also had a rich crema, and the barbacoa tacos were my favorite. The carnitas taco was also tasty, but I had a lot of fat pieces, which my boyfriend is more a fan of. The chicharrones had a kick to them, but were so crunchy and delicious. We each had a Jarritos to drink, but their beverages sounded enticing. We also sat outside since it was so nice out, but I would like to dine in because the establishment looks cute. It is a pretty open and inviting space. I definitely want to come back and try other food on the menu, as well as come back for the chicharrones."

They give you the chips in a brown bag which me and my friend thought it was weird. We asked for a bowl and the worker gave us a weird look that we asked for a bowl. We wanted it for the chips. I got the skirt steak and it was delicious. Also got the Korean chicken and that was horrible. Like the first bite was horrible then the second bite was good and it was horrible again. My friend got a steak taco and a fish taco and she liked them both."

"I had an impromptu lunch here a few weeks ago with a friend, and while it wasn't my choice to come here, the food was a pleasant surprise.I was in the area and needed a lunch spot and asked my friend to choose, so this is where we ended up.We walked in, and this place was packed with people, so that's a good sign! Means meals are being made and lots of them! Which usually means fresh! I, unfortunately, have some tummy issues, and for some reason, there seems to be a pattern that when I do eat spicy Mexican, things start to go awry. I love Mexican, but my tummy puts up a protest, so I try to limit my intake.Anyhow, I was a little worried I would have a flare up, but I tried to stay positive.What caught my eye was the special of the day of tamale de elote. I love tamales and usually can handle those as they tend to be milder and you can choose to add spicy or not. I think this dish came to $8.95 or so and came with 2 tamales, rice, beans and chips and salsa, and the portion was large.I really liked the tamale de elote and had lunch for the next day too and no tummy flareup! Win-win! This is a grab and go place with some seating inside and outdoors. I'd definitely come back for their tamales again!"

While I waited for my order, I decided to stock up on their salsa to get some onions, cilantro, hot salsa verde, lime wedges, and grilled jalapenos. My tacos were tender and had decent amount of flavor to them. Definitely hit the spot! "6/29/24: OMG, was Rito's good! They won the trifecta: superb service, delightful decor, fantastic food. If you have not tried Rito's Crown location, you are missing out on mighty fine food.Long version: we wanted decent Mexican food for lunch and we definitely had that at Rito's. Off the bat, there is a large parking lot to the east of the complex. We arrived around 2:30 or so and there was also plenty of street parking. Could be a totally different story for dinnertime. It is not a huge restaurant but it is well designed on the inside (seating and decor), plus they have a nice sized patio on the west side of the building. The picture shows umbrellas; I did not notice misters. Needless to say, we opted to sit indoors to escape the heat.Chips & salsa were deposited onto the table within seconds of being seated, shortly followed by water. Bonus: they did not bring straws with the water. I did get one with the horchata, EXTRA BONUS: it was compostable! That's a great thing in my mind. The horchata? Some of the best I have had, and I have had it from many different restaurants because I love it.Our server, Missy, was pulling double duty as the bartender. Amazing. Not only was she funny and polite, but she did not even have to write down our order; kept it all in her head -- and did not screw it up. She absolutely deserved the 20% tip. The other servers were also punctual with water refills and clearing off our plates; I wonder if they receive a portion of the tip ... ?This complimentary chips were thick & crispy (they paired well w/ my side of beans). We ordered quite a bit because we wanted leftovers for dinner. The crispy beef and crispy chicken tacos were great (although I did nab some of my sisters sour cream to dab on them), and the side of beans were so good. My sister's three way burrito was huge and well seasoned. If you see her plate there is hardly any room left on it, thanks to the heaping sides of beans and rice. I highly recommend Rito's Crown location."

"My wife and I got Bonitas via delivery last night and judging from the rest of the reviews, I really wish we had gone into the restaurant or at the very least gotten takeout ourselves. Don't get me wrong. The food was good, but when you've got your food held hostage in a styrofoam container being driven lazily around the city by an Uber Eats driver - it's not the restaurant, it's the delivery.I went with the bean/cheese burrito + taco combo. After the hot food is placed in the styrofoam delivery container and then wrapped up tightly in a plastic bag and then driven casually from Point A to Point B by the Uber Eats driver, the food is essentially continuing to steam itself in the container. This made the taco fall apart when I attempted to pick it up. It made the rice soggy. It made the tortilla of my burrito feel chewy. I don't think this is any fault of Bonitas. I'm sure the food would have appeared fresher and tasted fresher had we eaten in vs. gotten delivery.All in all, I'll likely be back to try Bonitas again. I want to give them a fair shot as since they've gotten a lot of positive reviews, I'm blaming this mediocre experience on the fact that we had our dinner delivered."
