"Let's start with it's about time!! Great Gelato. Cute little tavern. Great people here! We have tried all their flavors now in our visits. Even the ones I would normally not get I actually liked! Places like this is what Buckeye needs! Keeps up with the old Historic feeling of Buckeye but with great modern taste! And hours of operation. Love that they don't close at 6pm or whenever they just want too. This is becoming a weekend hit for us. Dinner at The Tack Room and then Dessert at The Gelato Tavern! Finally places I don't mind spending money at in buckeye!!!"
"Their strawberries n crème is A++Always friendly and alwyas clean. Love this spot that I happened to find on accident. It's in a great spot. There's a taco truck on the corner for dinner and this is the perfect spot to end the meal!"

"Like the concept, but wasn't as impressed with the product.I tried the cookies and cream and snickerdoodle and neither were better than the giant tub of cookie dough I buy at Costco for $8. We also bought a PB square that was good, maybe 4/5 stars. They had two vegan flavors and the rest used pasteurized eggs--so "safe" but still egg."
"Started getting ice here when we were in a temporary rental down the street, we've now moved about 20 minutes away but I still make the drive to come here for our water and ice! Everybody I have come across that works there has been friendly and kind they plus have quality water and their ice is clean. I really really wish they would open up a second store near 107th and Happy Valley!"
"The Sugar Bowl is a long time Scottsdale business. Opening in 1958 it now has "legendary" status as a place to try when in the area. Decked out like an old-time soda fountain--it has a long counter with stools--the pink and white eatery serves as an ice cream shop and full service restaurant. We simply wanted ice cream, which was terrific. But had we wanted something more substantial the Sugar Bowl serves sandwiches, soups, and salads. It was busy when we arrived, yet service was satisfactory."
"Love this place! We come here often to get Boba. I can't say I have a specific fav because all of the drinks are great. We consistently get the crab bowl. It's enough for our family of four to share. The young lady at the front is always nice and inviting."
"Such a cute spot! The popsicles are so cute and tasty. I ordered the matcha boba and it was so good. The boba was perfect it wasn't too sweet and the perfect amount of chewiness. The service was good and the drinks came out quickly. The parking is also easy and available for the whole shopping center. My drink cost me $8 which is pretty typical for boba. I also really appreciated that it was dairy free"
"Thank you for your patience! The staff explained what the ingredients were included in the tostilocos. They wanted to ensure you got what you wanted. I appreciate it. The food was amazing. I have to go back and try the rest of the menu."
"10/10 knock out experience! Excellent, friendly service from the owners, an adorable little spot, and the best ice cream. They make their ice cream from scratch in an older, traditional way from Mexico. They let me try like 5 different flavors and were super generous with the samples. I ended up ordering the Gansito flavor for one scoop and the Pay de Limón flavor for the other scoop. Both were absolutely delicious and the cone was great too. We took some paletas to go so I'll look forward to some of those at home. Delicious helados here!"
"Thrifty Ice Cream?! Chocolate Malted Crunch?! I'm in!Love this place and the variety of flavors that they have that remind me of my childhood. The scoops are big and they use the old school Thrifty scoop!I met Caden S. on my visit and what a wonderful person he is! Kind, courteous and helpful. Offered me a sample of something new l, and I LOVED it. Animal cookies is now my new favorite. I will be making more trips here for ice cream and hopefully get to talk to Caden S. again! Thank you for the great experience."
"I've been here a few times now. This restaurant is going places! The food is great and has really good flavor. They are a taco and ice freak bar. I thought it an odd combination when I first saw it, but it works! It's a decent sized restaurant, very open with a lot of space to spread out... for now. Once the word gets out about this place, it's going to be packed! The decor is modern Mexican if that's a thing. I think it would be really cute for some instagram photos... I'll have to send some pics next time.I've had the tacos, barria (with chicken), and burritos. Again, all very good flavor.I had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She is great. The young man at the register the 2nd time I was there was also great! Both people were very attentive and kind to guests.I'll be back!"
"I love a good fro-yo place and Tastebuds didn't disappoint. They had a lot of flavors to choose from and vegan options as well. I went with the toasted marshmallow which was fantastic and my standard gummy bears and sprinkles! Friendly staff and good prices."

Sooo good. I love that downtown BuckeyeIs becoming a whole vibe. Refurbishing the town without losing history is a huge deal and The Gelato Tavern is a great part of that. Adorable shop, bright and airy. Good seating variety and games to play. They have a nice variety of flavors to choose from as well as coffees and affogato. Their vanilla bean is the bees knees!! So good, so balanced, so smooth. The young man working the counter was helpful, well informed, personable and efficient. Gelato Tavern is totally worth a trip to Buckeye and a no brainer if you're already in the area.

Good spot in our neighborhood. So happy they opened a michocana near us. They are a little pricey but that is everywhere now.

My husband and son really enjoyed themselves here over the weekend. The service was great, the inside & outside was so cute and decorated with lots of Christmas decorations for the holidays. I snagged a few bites myself and the cookie dough & ice cream & even the marshmallows were fresh and super tasty. I don't think you can go wrong no matter what you pick. We will make sure to stop in again next time we are around this part of town. A little side note: You cannot order ice cream by its. It has to be paired with the cookie dough.

I've been getting water here for about 6 months now. I love they have half price water on Wednesday and Sunday, the store is always clean, and staff friendly. Most of the negative remarks I've read on here seem to reflect worse on the reviewer than it does on the business. Just sayin'.

4.5 starsCute little place reminiscent of a 50s diner and even busy on a weekday night. I got the sundae with chocolate chip ice cream, peanut butter sauce, and peanuts with whipped cream. So good! Service was friendly and quick and prices weren't bad either. 2024 #35

Wonderful staff super helpful and knowledgeable. My daughter loves boba and so does my niece. They both loved their drinks my niece said it wasn't as sweet as she's used to but would absolutely want to come back as it was delicious from start to finish same from my daughter. Love that they have lots of food options as well excited to come for all of the things as it looked super good and fresh. So much so a whole crab was just pulled out of a pot in the kitchen. Hidden with small parking lot in the back so don't miss this place! Add it to your list

Diamond bars rock! I've literally tried every flavor and they are all good. When they are fresh. Unfortunately the vibe here is pretty inconsistent from the staff (some are so outgoing and amazing and others are so rude and off putting) to the quality of the food (sometimes the diamond bars are old and gooey). I keep going back because I love the concept and every time I hope things are good.

"Self serve is my favorite & Yogurtime had quality toppings and tasty flavors. Other reviews suggest that it was thinner consistency so I was pleasantly surprised to find they were all quite good - I say ALL because they you sample as many flavors as you'd like!"
"Adorable dessert place Downtown Gilbert. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. I was having difficulty deciding what ice cream to get with the cookie dough I chose for the 50/50 and appreciated the staff recommendation. (The pistachio cookie dough was GOOOOD!!). The scotcharoos are amazing - just like my grandma used to make!! Everything looked very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back!!"
"The best place to buy Mangonadas I love the flavor and they make it worth the money ! Thank u very much for great customer service I will be back soon!"
"Still the BEST frozen yogurt place around! I gravitate to salted caramel pretzel but all are fantastic! Great service and a generous reward program."
"This is such a big Michocana and ALL the goods!! Tons of selections with paletas and ice cream scoops and snacky things. We had a fruit cup, a paleta, Agua fresca, and elote. All amazing!!! Will be back!"
"Decided to come to Paletas La Michoakana and so glad I did! But blink too fast and you might miss it, small location but packed w many options! I personally got the pepino con chile paleta and it was really good! Also tried an elote which was also delicious! The kids each went back for seconds too. Limited seating inside and a couple seats outside. It was clean inside and friendly service! FYI- If you plan on using card, they do charge .50c! Definitely not a dealbreaker for me but bring cash if it is for you."
"Häagen-Dazs is probably my most favorited ice cream parlors in the world. I usually get their Dulce de Leche Split and it's pure heaven in your mouth. The Dulce de Leche milkshake isn't too bad either. I've been to this location twice and Brianna served me both times. I wish more servers were like her because she makes the whole experience enjoyable. She's very generous with the samples and suggests really good flavors. Thank you Brianna!"
"Wow, this is such a happy place! It's like a genki explosion of Mexican kawaii!!! They have a selection of treats and delights that will make your toes tingle, now I just have to figure out which paleta to try first. The lady who assisted us was really helpful, I just wish that their paletas were actually labelled so that we could just browse them."
"I love this place and so do the kids. It's fast and delicious, however, and I guess we can't blame the business, it's a bit expensive, so if you're looking for a quick cheap burger, this is not the place, but quick and delicious and price is not a consideration, then come on over and get yourself a blessing while you're at it.Lots of superhero's and games to keep the kids busy and you'll take lots of pictures without the cost of going to Disneyland or Universal Studios! Lol, fyi it's in the Target shopping center. Enjoy!"
"This place is mom & pop type cold stone creamery. Friendly staff, lots of dessert options: waffles, smoothies, mix in ice cream options, tons of different cones, dessert pretzels. I chose the small strawberry shortcake with a Oreo waffle cone. It was $10 and way too big! The $2.50 Oreo cone was good but so filling & rich. The ice cream was good but the shortcake pieces were too big and frozen, hard to eat. Loved the whip cream finish on top tho!"
"Nice staff and we always prefer supporting local businesses but Scooptacular Arcadia was a big letdown. The flavors sounded exciting but everything we tried was bland enough that I just can't get on board (vs a Blue Bell store run for a fraction of the cost). Better off frequenting Handels not too far away. Hopefully it gets better as this would be a convenient option!"
"The Arizona heat is no joke! It was still warm out during the evening, so we went to grab a few refreshing drinks before heading back to the hotel. Milk Run is in a small plaza on the corner of 7th and Camelback. The parking lot was mostly full, you might have to wait until someone leaves. There's another lot behind the building if you give up. Just a short walk away. They are connected to the neighboring restaurant Pho Thanh. Inside you'll find a handful of tables and benches. Surfaces were sticky and not very clean, have your wet wipes ready. Good variety of milk teas, coffee, sparklers (carbonated lemonades), slushies, smoothies, sweet teas, and ice cream flavors to choose from. You can even get milk tea topped with ice cream. Toppings and dairy substitutes are available for additional charge. Peach Mangonada - a salty, sugary, sour slushie! Perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. The tamarind straw adds more spiciness and tartness to the drink. Classic Milk Tea - okay tea flavor with a decent silky consistency thanks to the milk The boba was chewy. Somewhat unsweetened though, I suspect it should've been soaked in the sugar syrup bath for a bit longer."
"I scream ICE CREAM--Petersen's Ice Cream!Who would not stop by at this cute ice cream shop with a vibey atmosphere? The human-sized ice cream standing outside the shop makes it undeniably inviting. We got inside and indulged in some sweet, cold treats. We ordered a large serving with three flavors: Mackinac Island Fudge, Raspberry Rendezvous, and Sea Turtle. The Mackinac Island Fudge was rich and decadent, the Raspberry Rendezvous was a perfect balance of tart and sweet, and the Sea Turtle, with its caramel and pecan notes, was simply flavorful. It was delightful and incredibly good! There are many flavors to choose from. The best thing is that you can choose what size do you prefer: small (one flavor), medium (2 flavors), and large (3 flavors)--with a mix and match options of any flavor you want. The servers were friendly and patient enough to wait while we were still deciding which is which among the flavors. Petersen's Ice Cream, originally from Chicago, is famous as one of the best in the Windy City. Here in Arizona, it is making a mark as one of the best dessert spots."
"We had the raspados and the nachos the fresa from the raspado was delicious with strawberry chunks it was so delicious the nacho cheese was ok I'm kind of picky when it comes to nacho cheese with that being said I'd definitely get the nachos again all in all this place is solid will definitely be going back to it and trying more options"
"The raspados are absolutely great! The arroz con leche is my absolute favorite flavor. However the pistachio one has got me hooked right now! The service is really hit and miss sometimes it just depends whose there. However the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the steep prices a small will cost you practically $6 & that's quite a lot in my opinion. The raspados are amazing though & I totally recommend!"
"Went back to give another chance. This time the service was fast and good customer service. We love everything we ordered including the appetizers. My favorite is the calamari and the smash avocado. ( not to sweet just the way I like it). Definitely will be back to try their other goodies."
"La Michoacana Plus - Phoenix6544 W Thomas Rd, Phoenix AZ 85033June 19, 2022, Sunday - 5:15 for a sweet treat4 AdultsAtmosphere - 5 stars Food - 5 starsService - 5 starsBackground - After our Father's Day meal I got to surprise the kids with a sweet treat. Plus we are going international, this is stop number two of two.Atmosphere - Take a step into a Mexican restaurant. The colors pop in this frozen treat palace. Large display freezers line the south side of the place. Drooling over all the treats, labeled in Spanish with a smaller font in English. The font was still large enough for this old guy.Food - I have been wanting to try a Paletas for a long time. It was worth the wait and I will be trying more in my future. I had the gooseberry, I do love berries and this one did not disappoint. I did eat it a little to fast and caused a brain freeze to occur.Service - I was greeted in Spanish. I had no clue what she said, but I responded in English, and after that we were good. We were the only ones in the place that was speaking English. The staff was very patient with us, as it was the first time here and there are so many choices.Future - Everyone loved their treats. So I could see coming back here again."
"Absolutely love this place! The owners are probably some of the *nicest* people I've ever met. Whenever we walk in, they know us by name and usually have an idea of what we want. (That happens when you've been there since they opened!) the place is always clean and looks great. Never disappointed. Also a little biased but when you have an establishment that's run by a medical hero & a firefighter you can't go wrong! Thankful for their hard work in and out of the shop!"
""1,000 stars" is what my six-year-old daughter said she'd rate Scoop and Joy. It's such a fun ice cream shop! They have lots of flavors of ice cream and lots of unique cones like pretzel cones, chocolate chip cones, and more. When you order, the staff ask if you want the "surprise." Say yes. They will create an animal or face from candy like little cookies, M&Ms, and more. My daughter got such a kick out of it!"
"Such a cute vibe. They had amazing mangonadas and you can't really go wrong with the hot Cheetos and cheese! Friendly and quick service!"
"First, consider this review is coming from a total GRINGO, but I have lived in Phoenix all my life and I learned long ago, if you want authentic Mexican food, you're going to have the best luck hitting places like this. What I mean by "places like this" is, a.) a Mexican owned business run by la familia; c.) the server doesn't speak English very well; c.) most or all of the signage is Spanish; and d.) you're the only white person there because the area and storefront scares the gringos that grew up with too much white privilege - That's right, I said it. Those are the people that just drive by and miss out on true cultural greatness. In my experience, the more of those boxes you can check, the better the food. This place seems more focused on sweets and treats, which I had none, so I can't review around that. I was here for ramen and birria tacos. First, the ramen was fantastic. You get a side of limes, onions, cilantro, salsa and cabbage. It's a serving big enough to share and I enjoyed it very much. Of course, I used it to dip my birria tacos! The birria tacos were good, not great. However, my personal preference are birria tacos oozing with queso, cooked longer with more browning and crispiness, and with the tortillas dipped in the birria consommé before griddling. You can see by my photos these aren't like that, but they are good, traditional birria tacos and I'm not going to deduct them because of a personal preference. And though it would be an easy target, I'm not going to deduct them for location, storefront architecture, interior design or handicapped accessibility. Frankly, more people need to recognize "places like this" wouldn't likely exist if they had to follow those standards. I come here for the authentic food and to support entrepreneurs brave enough to risk starting a minority owned business. Best of luck to you Neveria Y Taqueria!"
"This place is great!!! Small Business with personal touch. Had a pina colada (non-alcoholic) with a ice cream cone. Everything was super fresh and service is awesome."
"Our favorite thing on a hot day!! Best tradition and sooo close to home - we're lucky!!!"
