"We went to the Peoria holiday festival last night and found Lizzy's Sweets N' Treats. The Carmel apples drew me to the table then I saw the cupcakes. There was brownies, cake pops, chocolate covered pretzels, rice crispy treats, pretty much something for everyone. I knew I had to get a few cupcakes for family and the kids so we got 8 cupcakes which was $24 plus tax which came to $26 and change. We got vanilla, salted Carmel and cookie butter which we all shared and I didn't get a picture of. It was probably our favorite, then salted Carmel then vanilla. There was actual cookie butter mixed in and in the center. It was delicious and we haven't come across a cookie butter cupcake before which was cool to see a new flavor. The second favorite was salted Carmel. You tasted the salt and the sweet Carmel center and was delicious as well. The cupcakes were more dense than I like but the flavor was there. The vanilla which I got for the kids and parents was personally my least favorite. I could taste the flour or baking soda in it and it was dense like the others. I normally don't go with plain anything anyway but the kids seemed to enjoy it. Overall, there was a lot of variety and something for everyone. Love trying out new places and glad we were able to try Lizzy's treats!"

"This was back in March 2023. This review is long overdue but I needed to post this for Amber Ricks. She is amazing! Amber was able to make the dream cake of my 4 year old come true with a picture that we found in other places. We are originally from Florida and flew in Surprise to have our daughters birthday party with our Arizona Family. So for coordinating my parents and Amber took care of this for my daughter. My parents told me that Amber will do whatever she can to make this cake and provide the best flavors, but needed to be seen for taste testing. The communication between Amber and my family was great. My family showed up for the taste testing and flavors were being presented. Unfortunately I didn't take any picks of the inside of the cake nor the 5 flavors of cupcakes that we had for the party. The top tier was all for the birthday girl and was a chocolate cake with hazelnut filling (tasted like Ferrero Rocher) and the bottom tier was red velvet cake with a whip cream filling. The cake was so light and flavorful with every bite! If you ever need a cake done in the area of Phoenix/Surprise/Glendale/Buckeye, please reach out to Amber! Definitely recommend this establishment."

"I'm so happy in choosing Love and Cake for my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration. It's been years since I've ordered a custom cake so I had to start anew in finding a reliable baker. I requested quotes from at least 5 different bakeries in the southeast valley. My mom and I decided on Love and Cake because of the price and raving reviews. We were a bit nervous about selecting a home baker but Love and Cake provided the most affordable price at $215 for an estimate of 25 people. My grandma wanted a carrot cake and we were a little worried that not all our guests would enjoy but it turned out phenomenal! Even our 3 young picky eaters were asking for another slice. The cake was so moist and flavorful, we only had maybe 1/5 of the cake left at the end of the party and everyone wanted a portion to go!My only suggestion is that she reach out prior to pickup to confirm the pickup location and how to access her community. I got lucky in following another car that had already opened the gate, otherwise I would've been stuck trying to call her for a gate code."

We tried the wedding, birthday, and Paris teas and I loved each of them but have to say, Paris was my favorite. The tea sandwiches were delicious- my favorite was the cucumber and cream cheese. The scones were SO good served with clotted cream, strawberry preserves and lemon- I loved the lemon. Last but not least were the deserts. The GF chocolate cupcake was phenomenal. It was rich and every bite melted in my mouth. I had to take home the rest of the treats but I know I'll find them to be just as delicious. We were never rushed and spent about 2 hours enjoying our tea and one another's company. We all really loved the tea service and will be back to enjoy again!"
