"Food was good. Service was good. BBQ sauce was good. Most of us in our group of 5 had a pulled pork sandwich as part of a lunch special ($6.99 for a sandwich, chips, and a fountain drink). Great deal! We added some sides just to try them out. Corn or the cob, the cooked carrots, and the potato salad were all yummy. What stood out & was so surprising was the fact that you are served your meal by a robot named Mickey!This totally reminded me of the robot in the movie, "Flight of the Navigator." It seemed so futuristic at that time that I didn't imagine any such technology would ever be developed in my lifetime when I first saw that movie back in the 80s. How far we have come is truly incredible.The gal at the front counter who took our order was so sweet. We came back at the end of lunch to order a cookie for one of my kids, and she could have just grabbed it and handed it to me. However, since she understood my children's fascination with the robot, she had Mickey bring the cookie to our table. SO COOL! Thanks for a fantastically memorable lunch. Ambiance was really neat as well. Had a warm, fun feel. Loves the theme. Novelties/gifts were also available. We will be back for sure. Positive experience to say the least."

"Recently I attended a convention in the area, so my friends and I wanted to try a local spot nearby. Yelp search led me to this location, and I'm so glad we stopped by as our server Melissa was fantastic! When we arrived, it was easy to seat ourselves as there is plenty of seating both indoors and on the patio. I can see the patio being gorgeous during the winter and spring, which just means we will have to visit again. We started with some starters which my friends kept raving about the Brussels sprouts, which intrigued me to inquire if they can make vegetarian next time so I can partake. My queso dip and chips was a great way to start, and we all enjoyed the starters.For our entrees, we all tried something different ranging from grilled cheese (mine) to sandwiches and a burger. We all loved what we chose and loved the waffle fries. I definitely could see us returning and the brunch menu peeked my interest as I think it could be a beautiful patio brunch in the winter. Always looking for a great location with a patio to get fresh air for weekend brunches with friends.Overall, a really great experience and if in the area then I would check this location out! Don't forget dessert as you can get it to go. The creme brûlée cheesecake is delicious and definitely get the caramel sauce as it was divine to add on top. Yum!"

"I don't normally review corner markets, but I have to here. They have build your own 6 packs of craft beer for 8.99! They also have their own growlers of rotating craft beer which you can refill and buy the growler bottle there . Great selection of cigars and cigar boxes as well. Love the back corner which has some nice to tobacco pipes. Every ting is iry! :) If you need some good beer go to cactus and the dude behind the corner is awesome! Such a great guy who is super nice."

"A quick stop here on a recent Sunday around noon produced a limited crowd at the bar and also at the tables. This must be a bar built awhile ago as no windows are available. The English accented female bartender was very nice and the beers were cold and that's what matters. I then noticed a tiny kitchen and a huge menu spanning all meals. Menu says famous tacos, so here were go. They were double wrapped and full of white meat chicken with some onions I think. Salsa was good and bonus radishes and cucumbers were good surprise. Will try something else again."

"The north Phoenix area doesn't have a lot of ethnic stores or markets so I was delighted to see this store in the Moon Valley area. It's not a very big place but it does have a good variety of Middle Eastern goods and foods that you won't find in most supermarkets, and the people are friendly and helpful. My fear was that the turnover of goods in small ethnic stores might not be fast, resulting in goods that may be older than you would want, but this not the case with their goods - the packaged food items that I bought had fresh flavors and I definitely enjoyed them."

"There is never too much of a good thing and this place proves it. Amazing, awesome prices on growler fills. I haven't found cheaper in Phoenix. His prices are the same or cheaper than the breweries they are made at in California and Arizona. Belching Beaver is LOWER then the Ocean Beach location in San Diego. He has a wider selection of top notch breweries than Wandering Tortoise and his growler fills are significantly less. Why fill your growlers anywhere else...we won't. If you want the bar experience head over to Whining Pig or the Wandering Tortiose but if you're looking to fill your growler eith excellenf craft beer from all over the U.S. COME HERE!!! I checked the bottle selection prices and compared it to nearby locations as well the breweries we just went to in California. These prices are the same or less. So whatever your craft beer needs are come here. Alley pup sure will. The man behind the counter was super awesome with excellent customer service. They even sell growlers in glass and stainless steel cheaper than any place we have been to so far. This spot won't disappoint. Don't need to take my word for it...check this place out on tap hunters and get ready to be amazed."

"I had seen how cool this placed on social media and finally made it in this past weekend. Parking was easy to find as there is a parking garage right in front of the entrance. We made it on in and saw the sign that said "seat yourself." A few tables were dirty and still had plates / cups from previous guests so we settled for a corner spot.Our server came over a few minutes later and he was very friendly. He brought us waters and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. We ordered:Two alcoholic drinks (don't remember the names) One meatball and ricotta pizzaThe drinks were really good as they were not too strong and went down smoothly. The pizza was delicious! It's not the typical pan crusted pizza, as this one is thin and basically has no crust. It was very flavorful and had a good crisp to it! The meatballs were really good!Overall we had a great time. The music was bumping, the server was friendly, and the service was quick. We will be back!"

"I have been sleeping on Gadzooks for a few years now. I thought... "soup & enchiladas, I don't get it".... until I was injured and could only eat liquids. First order was delivery through their website by way of Yelp. I ordered the tortilla and the corn chowder.... added deluciousness to the tortilla and left the chowder as was with the lava sauce on the side. They're not joking about lava on the salsa. I added a bit too much to a plain chowder and it was far too spicy for me...Next time, I ordered the potato enchiladas and chicken tacos, again through the app. They were out of potato, I learned when the dasher deluvered the order with a missing item and I called the restaurant. I don't typically eat meat and the tacos weren't for me. I was bummed the restaurant employee was unaware of how I placed the order, considering I did it direct on their site. So, the communication was not relayed until I called. I am not dropping points because it was so good, a bit salty for me but not overly so. As I said, the guy over the phone was pleasant and answered the question quickly about why I was missing an item and had already refunded the amount. I will order again, or go in."

Girlfriend and I are vacationing in the Phoenix area and wanted sandwiches while we visited the Botanical Garden and Zoo. We found this place while looking through recommendations. It's your traditional convenience store with a deli attached to it. The guys working the market were incredibly nice. We placed our orders quickly, pastrami sandwich and a club. Didn't do any sides but we did grab some unique chips and fountain drinks. Our sandwiches were done in about 5 minutes and were well worth the wait. We were thrilled with our stop at the 56th Street Deli. Between the food, the service, and the selection it was a great choice for our sandwich fix. 5 Deli Fresh Stars out of 5!"

"Located in an eccentric hexagonal building across from Brophy Prep is Persepshen. They have made it their own with additions and boast a great patio to enjoy with a group. This once housed Heap Big Beef in the 1960s and there is a piece of artwork that hangs near the restrooms done in a mid-century modern style that will give you an idea of the vibe.We made reservations on a Saturday night with friends and I recommend making reservations. We still had to wait about 15mins to be seated due to lack of staff. Although the restaurant is not huge, there are 3 people in the kitchen and 3 serving tables and making drinks. I believe the wait for our table had more to do with the kitchen keeping up with the tables already seated. We were in no rush so we didn't mind. It just felt awkward since the host really didn't give us an explanation. As we waited, we looked over the menu and figured out our plan of what to eat. Here's what we ordered:Roasted sunchokes Polenta street friesShrimp fra diablo Korean BBQ chicken wingsWood grilled lamb chopPan seared wild scallop paella Meyer lemon meringue We did everything family style and ate it as it came out of the kitchen. We really enjoyed everything and especially noted the perfectly cooked scallops and felt our favorite was the shrimp dish. The dessert was a perfect ending to the experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy like a lodge and the utensils and glassware really are eclectic touches that make this a groovy vibe and add to the overall experience."

"Had lunch at Ingo's Tasty Food while attending an event at the Phoenix Convention Center. Ingo's is within walking distance. The space is bright and inviting. It's a two-story restaurant with second floor seating. We were greeted warmly as soon as we entered. The staff was very patient and helpful as we asked questions and took our time deciding.We ordered the following:Black and white $4.75Toni's deviled eggs $5Heirloom brown rice bowl (x2) $13.50Cheeseburger $11Fresh shattered potato chips $6.50The food was light and delicious! We started with Toni's deviled eggs. Great combo of German mustard, Laurel Chanel goat cheese, and pickled beet. I had the heirloom brown rice bowl for my entree which came with sorrel pesto, kale, feta cheese, pickled mushrooms, pepitas, five-minute egg, sesame seeds, and dill. My only regret is not getting at least two eggs to add more protein. Otherwise, it was a very good dish. My husband ordered the same bowl, but without the feta cheese and also loved it. Our son ordered the cheeseburger and potato chips, which he devoured within minutes. I was able to sample the potato chips. It had sea salt, cracked pepper with lebni and/or homemade lacto-fermented hot sauce. It's a must!Before leaving, I ordered the black and white coffee which is their 24-hour cold brew coffee lightly sweetened and topped with mint cold foam. It's excellent. We're already talking about our next visit."

The deal is all day Monday and Tuesday and applies to any flatbread and bottle of wine. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy and parking was easy in the strip mall area. You order at the counter and then sit at one of their comfortable tables and your food is brought out to you. Their wine selection is decent and we ordered the Hey Mambo flatbread. We also ordered the simple Italian salad to share and it was the perfect meal. The flatbreads are good sized with generous toppings and the crust is tasty as well. They have other specials at Freely so highly recommend checking it out!"

We used to frequent Broc's restaurant in Fountain Hills a few years ago (we were very sad when the restaurant closed), and although it took us a "little while" to visit his restaurant in Scottsdale, we are so glad we did. Everything from the cocktails, entrees, dessert and after-dinner drinks were phenomenal. Such an intimate ambience with lovely piano music in the background, candle light, and a beautifully decorated space. The hostess and our servers were friendly and had lively and fun personalities. It was great to see Broc again, and kudos to the chef. We will be sure to return again soon!"

When our orders arrived (via someone other than our waitress) we told her that our orders were wrong. The girl literally said nothing, just stared at us looking odd, then walked away. It was bizarre. Then no one came back until we were done with our wrong meals. The waitress drops the check off and i told her the cost was wrong because the meals were wrong and she attempted to argue with me. She ended up correcting my bill but I can tell you I'll not be going back. The food was actually good though"

I found that their staff was extremely helpful on more than one occasion in which I wanted to select a bottle of wine.I appreciate the wide selections of wine and the knowledgeable staff, buy what appealed to me the most was the fact that they have several bottles of wine that are highly rated for under $30. I was a little surprised by that actually. Of course there are wines in there for new and mid-level collectors. I'm not sure if this is the place for serious wine collectors. One thing is for sure, I have used AZ wine many times when I wanted to stop in and pick up a quick bottle of wine. I took 3 bottles of wine to the International Supper Club UYE and everyone that had wine said they really enjoyed it. I have NEVER been disappointed with the recommendations. I highly suggest this store for the wine lovers who love local businesses!"
