"Food was good. Service was good. BBQ sauce was good. Most of us in our group of 5 had a pulled pork sandwich as part of a lunch special ($6.99 for a sandwich, chips, and a fountain drink). Great deal! We added some sides just to try them out. Corn or the cob, the cooked carrots, and the potato salad were all yummy. What stood out & was so surprising was the fact that you are served your meal by a robot named Mickey! This totally reminded me of the robot in the movie, "Flight of the Navigator." It seemed so futuristic at that time that I didn't imagine any such technology would ever be developed in my lifetime when I first saw that movie back in the 80s. How far we have come is truly incredible. The gal at the front counter who took our order was so sweet. We came back at the end of lunch to order a cookie for one of my kids, and she could have just grabbed it and handed it to me. However, since she understood my children's fascination with the robot, she had Mickey bring the cookie to our table. SO COOL! Thanks for a fantastically memorable lunch. Ambiance was really neat as well. Had a warm, fun feel. Loves the theme. Novelties/gifts were also available. We will be back for sure. Positive experience to say the least."
"Recently I attended a convention in the area, so my friends and I wanted to try a local spot nearby. Yelp search led me to this location, and I'm so glad we stopped by as our server Melissa was fantastic! When we arrived, it was easy to seat ourselves as there is plenty of seating both indoors and on the patio. I can see the patio being gorgeous during the winter and spring, which just means we will have to visit again. We started with some starters which my friends kept raving about the Brussels sprouts, which intrigued me to inquire if they can make vegetarian next time so I can partake. My queso dip and chips was a great way to start, and we all enjoyed the starters. For our entrees, we all tried something different ranging from grilled cheese (mine) to sandwiches and a burger. We all loved what we chose and loved the waffle fries. I definitely could see us returning and the brunch menu peeked my interest as I think it could be a beautiful patio brunch in the winter. Always looking for a great location with a patio to get fresh air for weekend brunches with friends.Overall, a really great experience and if in the area then I would check this location out! Don't forget dessert as you can get it to go. The creme brûlée cheesecake is delicious and definitely get the caramel sauce as it was divine to add on top. Yum!"

"I don't normally review corner markets, but I have to here. They have build your own 6 packs of craft beer for 8.99! They also have their own growlers of rotating craft beer which you can refill and buy the growler bottle there . Great selection of cigars and cigar boxes as well. Love the back corner which has some nice to tobacco pipes. Every ting is iry! :) If you need some good beer go to cactus and the dude behind the corner is awesome! Such a great guy who is super nice."
"This place should have 5 stars. The family that owns this place and works there is A Class. The son is well trusted with the store! That being said... they have THE BEST PHILLY SANDWICH IN THE WORLLLLD!Thanks, guys :)"
"A quick stop here on a recent Sunday around noon produced a limited crowd at the bar and also at the tables. This must be a bar built awhile ago as no windows are available. The English accented female bartender was very nice and the beers were cold and that's what matters. I then noticed a tiny kitchen and a huge menu spanning all meals. Menu says famous tacos, so here were go. They were double wrapped and full of white meat chicken with some onions I think. Salsa was good and bonus radishes and cucumbers were good surprise. Will try something else again."
"Wow!! This spot is a gem!! We happen to be in the area and dropped in for dinner. Casual ambiance, with good prices. There was a wait but we sat at the bar because it was available. Renee was awesome friendly, professional and really knew the food. The food was so good we ordered chicken tikki it came with rice and we plain and it was so delicious I will be making a point to stop in when I am in the area."
"Elena gets a major thank you! I requested a bouquet the day of the event. I was on my way to a Celebration of Life event for a friend & coworker. The community wore blue to honor him, so I wanted a bouquet of blue flowers. Elena happily and promptly helped me. She asked what my budget was for the bouquet, and then said it would take only 10 minutes. And in 10 minutes she made a beautiful bouquet on the spot and met my budget. Lovely!Only thing is I didn't see a little card, I forgot to ask for one so make sure you do when you request them to make you a bouquet."
"The north Phoenix area doesn't have a lot of ethnic stores or markets so I was delighted to see this store in the Moon Valley area. It's not a very big place but it does have a good variety of Middle Eastern goods and foods that you won't find in most supermarkets, and the people are friendly and helpful. My fear was that the turnover of goods in small ethnic stores might not be fast, resulting in goods that may be older than you would want, but this not the case with their goods - the packaged food items that I bought had fresh flavors and I definitely enjoyed them."
"There is never too much of a good thing and this place proves it. Amazing, awesome prices on growler fills. I haven't found cheaper in Phoenix. His prices are the same or cheaper than the breweries they are made at in California and Arizona. Belching Beaver is LOWER then the Ocean Beach location in San Diego. He has a wider selection of top notch breweries than Wandering Tortoise and his growler fills are significantly less. Why fill your growlers anywhere else...we won't. If you want the bar experience head over to Whining Pig or the Wandering Tortiose but if you're looking to fill your growler eith excellenf craft beer from all over the U.S. COME HERE!!! I checked the bottle selection prices and compared it to nearby locations as well the breweries we just went to in California. These prices are the same or less. So whatever your craft beer needs are come here. Alley pup sure will. The man behind the counter was super awesome with excellent customer service. They even sell growlers in glass and stainless steel cheaper than any place we have been to so far. This spot won't disappoint. Don't need to take my word for it...check this place out on tap hunters and get ready to be amazed."
"Well we first walked in just for lotto tickets but ended up talking with the owner Butch. First off super friendly and welcoming. Had some great liquor recommendations as well. The selection of liquor in general was awesome! So much to choose from. We will definitely be back, very nice company.General appearance inside is super bright and clean. Floors are really nice looking as well."
"the owner and his workers are so sweet!great price to buy lotto tickets for gifts!"
"Intimate bar tucked away on the Ocotillo property. It's the shipping container, but inside it feels like a swanky cocktail lounge. We enjoyed the atmosphere - the red lighting, black marble, and leather. We loved the Purple Does Something Strange to Me (bourbon, rum, aperitif, elderberry, pineapple, lemon). We thought the Serpent in the Garden was okay, it was like a spiked chili soda (gin, rum, chili, cucumber, ginger, lime, carbonation)."

I sometimes wake up in the morning craving Can't Stop Smokin BBQ! I manage to hold off until lunchtime to get my fix though. The meats are amazing, not fatty or too smoky like some places but still very tender. Sides are numerous and tasty, you can choose between roll or cornbread and spicy or regular bbq sauce are provided and equally tasty to me. And to top it off they have the best staff, Aimee at the register is a sweetheart and I've had Tobias come out from the back and take time out of his day to visit with me and make me feel so welcome. I would highly recommend crossing the street from the other bbq establishment and try them out.

Spokes On Southern is the perfect late night local bar that has a great selection of drinks and a real kitchen that has great food. The service is phenomenal for a bar. The seating is vast, with lots of options. The noise level isn't stupidly loud but moderate and allows you to hear everyone at your table. The prices are reasonable.Last night, after playing hockey in Chandler, we needed to grab dinner around 10:45pm. On the drive home to Mesa, we scoured the online choices for what might be open. A friend texted me a recommendation for Spokes on Southern, so we stopped in. The place was open late, and the kitchen ran until midnight. We arrived about 1050pm, and it was a small crowd of just a few people at the bar and a table. The barkeep quickly came to our table and took our drink order, after which he returned quickly with the drinks and took our app and beer orders. He was helpful and on top of things very quickly. I ordered some wings and the crispy chicken sandwich. My son ordered the Carver Burger. The wings were nicely fried and large, and tasty. The crispy chicken was absolutely awesome, with a gigantic moist chicken filet, perfect crispy breading, and delicious toppings and sauces. Seriously, it may be the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The carver burger cooked perfectly, and the full of flavor. I also had the cup of tomato bisque soup as a side, and it was likewise surprisingly excellent. The crunchy waffle fries were perfect, too.The price tag on the food and drinks was reasonable, and the one-man barkeep server was running the whole show like a champ. Having trouble finding good late night food that doesn't taste crappy? Spokes on Southern has you covered. They even have vegan selection for those with specific diets.Honestly, this was a huge and delightful surprise. I will be back!

One of the best kept secrets in Arizona for bourbon collectors. This place looks like any other shell gas station on the outside, however inside you see that it is more upscale and has a large selection of rare bourbons. Papis, staggs and 1792 oh my! Ronnie (owner) is very personal with his customers. He gives back to the community and has one of the best selections I have ever seen.

Calling all my karaoke lovers...this is a fun spot in Phoenix to karaoke! Fun dive bar with two pool tables directly to the left by the bathrooms, a small bar in the middle and plenty of tables and seating to the right to sing laugh at others singing, ha or hang with your friends for some grub and a cocktail. I've been to many karaoke bars so the mic system isn't the best but def better than nothing or not having it at all so I'll deal with it! can get a bit rowdy here so come early for a more chill vibe

You really can't go wrong at AJs Fine Foods. Their food is top notch, the service is pleasant and helpful, and ambiance is nice. The store is decorated according to a prevailing holiday; in this case Easter. They have a nice selection of flower that you may not see at many stores. The fragrance from the lilies and captivating. Shared parking and WiFi.

A unique and attractive store that has a variety of Middle Eastern and North African products, along some US and European items. The store is clean and neat, items are easily sorted and can be found with no trouble. Alvin and Tony are friendly and attentive to your needs. They have a small selection of wines and beer as well. Have been coming here for years now and will continue to come.

"I was in the area and stopped in today. I'm always in the look out for Braunschweiger for my husband. I didn't have any luck on that front today. But left with a huge piece of garlic jerky, two different types of brats, a summer sausage and a jalapeño breakfast sausage. My hubby is going to be so happy! I was impressed by their huge selection. The steaks looked amazing, and I'll be back for those! What a fun find. I'm excited to try the brats and sausages."
"I had seen how cool this placed on social media and finally made it in this past weekend. Parking was easy to find as there is a parking garage right in front of the entrance. We made it on in and saw the sign that said "seat yourself." A few tables were dirty and still had plates / cups from previous guests so we settled for a corner spot. Our server came over a few minutes later and he was very friendly. He brought us waters and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. We ordered:Two alcoholic drinks (don't remember the names) One meatball and ricotta pizzaThe drinks were really good as they were not too strong and went down smoothly. The pizza was delicious! It's not the typical pan crusted pizza, as this one is thin and basically has no crust. It was very flavorful and had a good crisp to it! The meatballs were really good!Overall we had a great time. The music was bumping, the server was friendly, and the service was quick. We will be back!"
"I have been sleeping on Gadzooks for a few years now. I thought... "soup & enchiladas, I don't get it".... until I was injured and could only eat liquids. First order was delivery through their website by way of Yelp. I ordered the tortilla and the corn chowder.... added deluciousness to the tortilla and left the chowder as was with the lava sauce on the side. They're not joking about lava on the salsa. I added a bit too much to a plain chowder and it was far too spicy for me...Next time, I ordered the potato enchiladas and chicken tacos, again through the app. They were out of potato, I learned when the dasher deluvered the order with a missing item and I called the restaurant. I don't typically eat meat and the tacos weren't for me. I was bummed the restaurant employee was unaware of how I placed the order, considering I did it direct on their site. So, the communication was not relayed until I called. I am not dropping points because it was so good, a bit salty for me but not overly so. As I said, the guy over the phone was pleasant and answered the question quickly about why I was missing an item and had already refunded the amount. I will order again, or go in."
"Synopsis: Reminds me of delis back home in New York; great feel, kind folks, amazing sandwiches. Girlfriend and I are vacationing in the Phoenix area and wanted sandwiches while we visited the Botanical Garden and Zoo. We found this place while looking through recommendations. It's your traditional convenience store with a deli attached to it. The guys working the market were incredibly nice. We placed our orders quickly, pastrami sandwich and a club. Didn't do any sides but we did grab some unique chips and fountain drinks. Our sandwiches were done in about 5 minutes and were well worth the wait. We were thrilled with our stop at the 56th Street Deli. Between the food, the service, and the selection it was a great choice for our sandwich fix. 5 Deli Fresh Stars out of 5!"
"Located in an eccentric hexagonal building across from Brophy Prep is Persepshen. They have made it their own with additions and boast a great patio to enjoy with a group. This once housed Heap Big Beef in the 1960s and there is a piece of artwork that hangs near the restrooms done in a mid-century modern style that will give you an idea of the vibe.We made reservations on a Saturday night with friends and I recommend making reservations. We still had to wait about 15mins to be seated due to lack of staff. Although the restaurant is not huge, there are 3 people in the kitchen and 3 serving tables and making drinks. I believe the wait for our table had more to do with the kitchen keeping up with the tables already seated. We were in no rush so we didn't mind. It just felt awkward since the host really didn't give us an explanation. As we waited, we looked over the menu and figured out our plan of what to eat. Here's what we ordered:Roasted sunchokes Polenta street friesShrimp fra diablo Korean BBQ chicken wingsWood grilled lamb chopPan seared wild scallop paella Meyer lemon meringue We did everything family style and ate it as it came out of the kitchen. We really enjoyed everything and especially noted the perfectly cooked scallops and felt our favorite was the shrimp dish. The dessert was a perfect ending to the experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy like a lodge and the utensils and glassware really are eclectic touches that make this a groovy vibe and add to the overall experience."
"Had lunch at Ingo's Tasty Food while attending an event at the Phoenix Convention Center. Ingo's is within walking distance. The space is bright and inviting. It's a two-story restaurant with second floor seating. We were greeted warmly as soon as we entered. The staff was very patient and helpful as we asked questions and took our time deciding. We ordered the following:Black and white $4.75Toni's deviled eggs $5Heirloom brown rice bowl (x2) $13.50Cheeseburger $11Fresh shattered potato chips $6.50The food was light and delicious! We started with Toni's deviled eggs. Great combo of German mustard, Laurel Chanel goat cheese, and pickled beet. I had the heirloom brown rice bowl for my entree which came with sorrel pesto, kale, feta cheese, pickled mushrooms, pepitas, five-minute egg, sesame seeds, and dill. My only regret is not getting at least two eggs to add more protein. Otherwise, it was a very good dish. My husband ordered the same bowl, but without the feta cheese and also loved it. Our son ordered the cheeseburger and potato chips, which he devoured within minutes. I was able to sample the potato chips. It had sea salt, cracked pepper with lebni and/or homemade lacto-fermented hot sauce. It's a must! Before leaving, I ordered the black and white coffee which is their 24-hour cold brew coffee lightly sweetened and topped with mint cold foam. It's excellent. We're already talking about our next visit."
"My favorite place to buy wine. Great selection and friendly service. Has the hard to find bottles as well like 2018 Shafer Hillside Select"
"Oh wow, Cowboy pizza! You put other pizzas to shame. So delicious from toppings and cheese to soft and chewy crust. The combination we ordered (Shroom pizza with couple additional toppings) worked out so perfectly. I can't remember the last time I had such delicious slice of pizza. Keep it up! Bring your patience though, ordering over the phone was difficult as it kept going straight to voicemail. This place is packed with lots of takeout orders. Just give it couple months for them to work out the new business hiccups. Enjoy! Highly highly recommend."
"Drive through craft beer. Need I say more? During the pandemic, it's been great to have a place less than a mile away where I can get a decent six pack and a bag of ice without getting out of the car! When I have gone inside pre-pandemic, I've enjoyed the variety of beverages available. It's a well-curated shop that leans a bit heavier on the "great beer" side of the mix than "great wine," but you'll no doubt find something you like, and at a decent price. The service is always friendly and prompt. It also seems like the soda fountain is a favorite of the local high school kids!"
"Open on Christmas! Drive through window. You don't even have to get out of your car. Thanks for answering all our questions. The cashier was super friendly. They sell lotto here too."
"Food perfectService spot onAtmosphere was clean and quiet. Just gave a review and we had a great experience. Would definitely come back again and we even had a Groupon."
"Our go to liquor store! My husband and I always come here for the beer selection. There is so much to look at and choose from, there's a bunch of random things in the store but it looks like there is a huge variety of liquor as well. Would definitely recommend for the huge variety! The prices seem right in line with buying at a grocery store or such, so it's nice to know prices aren't jacked up high. The staff are friendly and don't try to sell you on other things. This is definitely going to be our go to place for trying new beers! Love that they have local options as well."
"Fresh and local food here at Ingo's. I love the fish and chips. The flaky white fish is subtle and mild tasting. The batter is very thin not too much but just right. The chips and tarter sauce are very good. Everything was made to order. It's a great spot to eat clean with a plenty of options to choose from. The building architecture is really cool too. It's round and more spacious for outside dining on the patio rather than on the inside. It's off the corner with beautiful trees around for shade and nice scenery."
"This is just for the bar itself. Located inside the Embassy Suites. Decent bar and plenty of tables inside and out. They do server food but it was all about the liquor for me. Prices were very affordable and the pours were very heavy. The bartender is good and he evens remembers you. Good place for some beverages."
"I adore this restaurant. Every worker we have ever encountered has been friendly and helpful. My husband usually orders two enchiladas. I am a nacho lady. I highly recommend ordering a double layer; they will put a layer of chips, then a topping and a cheese, then bake it. Next, more chips and more cheese and a different topping for the top layer, then they bake it again. So amazing. I also like the margaritas and the cookies here.Make sure you sign up for the points and rewards, it is pretty easy to accumulate and get a free entree."
"Guy is a over pricing jerk. He suggested buying a bottle of Japanese whiskey for 199.00. The same bottle is around town for 79.00. And he swears he has the best prices. I'd suggest never buying from this store for any bourbon needs. I believe the guy that attempted to sell it to us is named Sam."
"My first time to Freely and I was not disappointed! Stopped in on a Monday evening with a friend for their $25 bottle of wine + flatbread deal, and what a great combo! The deal is all day Monday and Tuesday and applies to any flatbread and bottle of wine. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy and parking was easy in the strip mall area. You order at the counter and then sit at one of their comfortable tables and your food is brought out to you. Their wine selection is decent and we ordered the Hey Mambo flatbread. We also ordered the simple Italian salad to share and it was the perfect meal. The flatbreads are good sized with generous toppings and the crust is tasty as well. They have other specials at Freely so highly recommend checking it out!"
"I parked in front of this brand new spot when I went to visit my dentist next door. I was pleasantly surprised by the niche options available for craft ciders, beers and local wines. The owner Marcus is great and he was helpful and knowledgeable when I asked for recommendations on cider options. The store is on the Untappd app and offer a 10% discount when you join. There are plenty of tasty snacks and desserts available so if you are heading to a get together they can be a one stop shop on the way."
"My experience with this AJ's was phenomenal! A+ all the way going above and beyond quality and customer service! My goal was to thank the wonderful people at Tiffany and Co. in Scottsdale for their superb attitude and amazing service. Enter AJ's Purveyor of Fine Foods. AJ's made it simple and easy to place an order of delicious fresh trays of sushi, cheeses, roasted veggies, and different fruits. (See photo) PLUS deliver it to the Tiffany and Co. store in a timely fashion as a luncheon. Friend Karen W. expressed it best of it being a sequel from "Breakfast at Tiffany's" to "Lunch at Tiffany's" :) This truly was a win win for all as everything turned out beautifully. Could not be happier with the entire process. The online menu is simple and with complete detail of available menu items. And when I phoned in to verify a few questions, they could not have been more helpful and kind. Thank you AJ's for the terrific Can-Do attitude and prompt service! Would highly recommend as the cool Tiffany and Co. folks were completely happy! As always, thank you for reading and stay safe :)"
"My husband Bart and I had a birthday dinner (for Bart) at Famigia Scottsdale last night. The entire dinner experience was wonderful. We used to frequent Broc's restaurant in Fountain Hills a few years ago (we were very sad when the restaurant closed), and although it took us a "little while" to visit his restaurant in Scottsdale, we are so glad we did. Everything from the cocktails, entrees, dessert and after-dinner drinks were phenomenal. Such an intimate ambience with lovely piano music in the background, candle light, and a beautifully decorated space. The hostess and our servers were friendly and had lively and fun personalities. It was great to see Broc again, and kudos to the chef. We will be sure to return again soon!"
"Was in town and made a breakfast reservation for Saturday morning. (Def did not need one because there was plenty of seating at 930 on Saturday morning). We sat for a very long time before getting offered a drink or anything for that matter. The waitress was friendly and kind but she did not listen to what we ordered. When our orders arrived (via someone other than our waitress) we told her that our orders were wrong. The girl literally said nothing, just stared at us looking odd, then walked away. It was bizarre. Then no one came back until we were done with our wrong meals. The waitress drops the check off and i told her the cost was wrong because the meals were wrong and she attempted to argue with me. She ended up correcting my bill but I can tell you I'll not be going back. The food was actually good though"
"D's market is conveniently located store with good selection, open long hours. Located on Miller Street, conveniently nearby Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and within walking distance of Old-Town Scottsdale and the Continental Golf course. Pros: Selection: nice selection of snacks, beer, liquor, and household items for an affordable price! Many types of candy, and chips. There are also items like dish soap, bathroom toiletries, and bagged sugar, salt and flour. Hours: open 7-10 most days! Long hours make it convenient to swing by and stock up on whatever you need!Prices: Prices are affordable and lower than nearby convenience store options. Friendliness: Family run, friendly environment! The staff here seem to always greet customers with a smile and a kind word Cons: none, I have had only positive experiences at D's."
"I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews about AZ wine company. I had the special occasion to stop in here prior to having dinner next door at Atlas Bistro. I found that their staff was extremely helpful on more than one occasion in which I wanted to select a bottle of wine.I appreciate the wide selections of wine and the knowledgeable staff, buy what appealed to me the most was the fact that they have several bottles of wine that are highly rated for under $30. I was a little surprised by that actually. Of course there are wines in there for new and mid-level collectors. I'm not sure if this is the place for serious wine collectors. One thing is for sure, I have used AZ wine many times when I wanted to stop in and pick up a quick bottle of wine. I took 3 bottles of wine to the International Supper Club UYE and everyone that had wine said they really enjoyed it. I have NEVER been disappointed with the recommendations. I highly suggest this store for the wine lovers who love local businesses!"
