My beer flight - The Ruby Grapefruit IPA was my fave! My husband loved the Rojo Scottish Ale best. All were great!

Amazing service, venue and food for my toddler's birthday party! Asa and his team provided excellent service, from set up, service, and clean up. Highly recommend this hidden gem for your kids next party as the plane watching plus the great restaurant is a fun combination for kids of all ages! The space itself is new and clean, unpretentious, bright and welcoming! The food was delicious, the portions so generous, and the service was so friendly and accommodating!

3.5 stars...Decided to stay a bit more north this trip to the hot box, and Yelp led me here. No, you aren't lost... it's in an airport! Cool little joint, and don't worry about TSA, because there is none..Raspberry wheat was the beer, and a Reuben was the grub... well seasoned pastrami and a firm kraut atop a thick bread, which in my opinion should have been on the flat top to get crusty. Served with fries, which had to be replaced...limpy!Great beer selection, though I only stayed for one.Ambiance is industrial layover, service was prompt and friendly, and prices were ok.If I stay up north again I'll pop back in because there was alot more of interest for both good and beer menus, and the views are great!!

The flyest restaurant in North Phoenix goes to... Barrio Brewing Co tucked in the Deer Valley Airport!Awesome vibes, fly views and good food! This restaurant faces the runway and puts on a show without even trying. It's GREAT for everyone from after work happy hour crowd, craft beer connoisseurs or families! We went with our littles and they were in awe. Small planes & helicopters galore! What's even better is the observation deck on top of the restaurant. Littles got to listen to traffic controllers, watch airplanes take off and get their wiggles out! We ordered a classic juicy cheeseburger & churro bites with chocolate and caramel sauce!

Well, YUM! Barrio Brewing Co. opened in the Deer Valley airport and we decided to give it a try. The inside has completely been redone and it's very nice complete with a nod to the old restaurant that was here for years by keeping some of the plane collection hanging above in a few places. The burgers were absolutely delicious and they have about 8 to choose from. Menu has a lot of choices which include a Sonoran dog which I'm told we will be returning to try . Service was really good & everyone was really friendly. Definitely recommend!

Planes, brews, and good foodBarrio Brewing is Arizona's oldest brewery, founded in 1991 in Tucson. They have their main taproom restaurant in Tucson, another at Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport, and this month, they opened at the Deer Valley Airport in North Phoenix. There's lots of indoor seating, two tvs behind the bar, and a tabletop shuffleboard. Our favorite part is that they kept the model planes that hung in the previous restaurant. It's nostalgic, and kids love them. Currently, you can't take alcohol outside up on the deck, but hopefully, they'll get that license. Most of the seating has great views of the runway through the large windows anyways. I really enjoyed my Barrio bacon jam sliders with the upgrade to beer battered fries. Not that they needed it, but the sliders and fries were even better with the tasty buttermilk ranch. (If you're someone who judges by the ranch...this is a winner.) The kids' meals included an entree, side, and drink for only $7. They were good portions and my daughter was excited for "real" Mac and cheese that wasn't just kraft. Everything else was very reasonably priced, including the happy hour menu. Our bill for two adults and two kids was $72, including an appetizer, cocktail, and beer. That's a great price that's hard to come by when eating out nowadays. The food truly was fresh and very good, so the price was an added bonus. Our server Michael was also very friendly and attentive. After your meal, be sure to head outside and up to the deck. There are plastic tables and chairs under shade to watch the planes come and go. Speakers overhead let you listen to the tower communicating with the pilots. With the flight school on property, there is plenty of activity, and the kids love seeing "pilots" walk around. We have some great memories here over the years between awaiting Santa by helicopter and also building airplanes as a homeschool lesson years ago. So I'm pretty excited to have a restaurant here again!

We were really impressed! The airplane decor is really cool and the views of the runway while you enjoy your meal are so impressive. Food and service were stellar! I had the Baja Fish Tacos which are made of pan-seared cod and are seriously incredible. So light and delicious! My husband had the pork carnitas which were equally impressive. Both are served with their homemade salsa and chips - salsa was slightly spicy and smoky - delish! Our daughter ordered the chicken tenders which were surprisingly AMAZING - step above what one might typically expect - super good! Our waitress, Shannon, was bubbly, fun, and attentive. Manager also greeted us and was super enthusiastic and friendly! Highly recommend this place and we'll be back. They do breakfast too!

Happy to get a Barrio Brewing in the area, love the airport location with the view of airplanes taking off and landing. We went for lunch and enjoyed the experience overall. Service was great even during a busy weekend brunch. We'll definitely be returning and hope to get a window table next time! French dip and breakfast burrito were both tasty.

Terrible food and horrendously slow service. I'm a pilot who flies out of this airport so I had high hopes and a strong bias in favor of Barrio. The quesadillas I ordered had barely any effort into making them edible. Gross. Also, it appears to me that the management knows nothing or cares not a bit about customer wait times. It took a long time just to get my menu, and that was after I had to grab someone to ask for it. The wait after ordering was agonizing. After my friend and I finished eating, another agonizing wait just to get someone to get our plates and grab our check. It was not busy. This experience was nothing in comparison to the original Barrio location in Tucson. Come here if you want tasteless and soggy $15 quesadillas that will take you 2 hours to eat and pay for.

Went to the new Barrio Brewing Company restaurant that just opened at Deer Valley Airport tonight.First off they did a very nice job remodeling the old restaurant that was here, the interior is beautiful. The wait staff was great....BUT they're gonna have to step up the food or they won't last long in my opinion... I got a French dip sandwich that was barely warm, the roll was very hard almost seemed stale... Everybody in our party of four food was on the cold side and the french fries were ice cold on all plates and not crisp at all ...The beer was amazing. The views were amazing if the food can come up to being as good as everything else this little place it's going to be a big hit . I'm sure right now it's just some growing pains and I'm not giving up on them yet...They have a great happy hour and do a reverse happy hour as well so that's a big plus
