I stopped in for some lunch it was super quiet and very clean upon entering . I was immediately greeted and sat by the server. She brought me a regular menu, sushi menu and told me they have Happy Hour all day! She also let me know right away that they serve Coke products. I placed an order for the Tropicana roll, which has salmon and mango and the Lisa Lisa roll which has cream cheese, tempura shrimp, and a crunch topping... they were amazing! I have never had a sushi roll with mango and the pairing of mango and salmon was delicious !!! I will definitely be back The service was great. The pricing was decent, and the serving size was more than enough.

Service was good but probably the worse sushi I've had in years, besides the bad sushi The fried rice was made with can veggies and canned tiny shrimp on old white rice yuck. Stay clear we even went on Easter Sunday, they did mention on the door sign they have staffing issues.Probably the chef left.

The food here is absolutely amazing--hands down the best sushi I've ever had! My wife and I are gluten-free, and Akiko was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the gluten-free options. They even made my favorite roll gluten-free! The waiter was super friendly, accommodating, and provided excellent service. 10/10.

It was probably good at one time, but the first time (and last time) we went our cold sushi's were so warm that it was really off putting. It felt like low quality sushi. Although the service was nice and I do feel bad for the negative review, but would not recommended.

Ehh. I give the miso ramen a 5/10 it's too thick and too much cabbage. Taste like stew. Not a fan. The blue flame sushi roll was good tho. 9/10.

We have been coming to this location since moving to Buckeye - we were regulars at the Phoenix location, but unfortunately we won't be spending our money here anymore. The older woman hostess has continuously been rude and unpleasant the last three times and today was the last time we will be here. We came in today at 11:15am. No one else was in the restaurant. She didn't even look at us before saying "follow me". No greeting, no hello, no welcome in, just "follow me". I looked at my husband for a second before she decided to turn around after realizing we weren't following her yet. After sitting down, she placed the menus down and said "what to drink?" My husband looked at me so I just said "water please". When she left I told him that I wasn't going to spend our money here anymore bc she's been so unfriendly the last few visits. So I told her we were leaving and I hope she has a better day. I understand she's been working for the owner of this location for a long time, but maybe it's time she retires or finds another way to help him with the restaurant that doesn't involve dealing with customers if she's going to be this unfriendly. Unfortunately they've lost some loyal customers.

I've literally worked as a host before, meaning I've worked with servers. If you're having a bad day I'm so sorry to hear that but I don't need to see or hear you CRYING as you're taking my order?? Hello? Wtf kind of service is that? Go cry in the back or in your car or have someone else do the job for you, with all do respect stfu and do your job or leave. We have frequented the original site in Phoenix for many years and always found it to have excellent food, reasonable prices, and good service. We were delighted when a second branch opened in Goodyear, where we live. At first it was excellent, like the Phoenix original, but the last time we encountered an unbelievably rude, unaware, hostile waitress. She has been described in previous yelp reviews under the same description. She is referred to as "Cheyenne" in those messages highly critical of her. We stopped going to Akai Hana, as I suspect many regulars did. The restaurant has undoubtedly lost a lot of business because of her. Recent reviews had indicated she is finally gone after many months. It is astonishing that any restaurant would have hired her, and if hired her, kept her more than one day. What kind of hold or relationship she had with the management is a complete mystery. We will return to Akai Hana now, although haven't done so yet, and hope the food is still as good.
