Pho Viet Express

My husband and I visited on a random Wednesday lunch hour after moving to this area. Despite the rating and reviews about the service, we decided to check it out since this would be our closest local pho. We eat pho regularly so we would eventually have to give it a try for convenience. We are glad we did. During the hour we were there, here is what we saw: 1. Someone order take out by plate number as if she had it memorized. She was definitely a regular. 2. A regular come in, sit and the gentleman at the register call out to him "you'll have the ____" and the regular shouted back "yes". 3. Uber eats come in to invite them to register their shop, 4. And additionally other customers come in. The pho and Thai tea were amazing. We are happy and definitely coming back. Our experience spoke for itself. Yeah, We weren't greeted by a smiling server, as most Americans expect but authentic cultural food doesn't garante the fake and ungenuine smiles Americans are used to.

I can't recommend this family owned pho shop enough! They have a variety of Viet dished including pho, rice plates, and vermicelli. The pho broth is truly delicious, much more flavorful than many other typical pho spots, and you can tell the food is made well. The service is awesome too, they are attentive and check in regularly; thank you Ryan for your hospitality! food ordered- 7. rare steak and brisket pho: perfect amount of meat and noodles, I was full after this!- 29. viet express rice plate: this is a great rice plate because it have 4 different types of meat so a lot of variety! also comes with a small bowl of soup- chicken spring rolls: not on the menu (I believe it is pork and shrimp on the menu but we replaced the meat w chicken) Ryan recommended dipping into fish sauce, and it was delicious!!!Definitely recommend this pho shop in National City and prices are great compared to other spots!

Odd server, def family owned and son does not want to be there. Broth not bad, but service is not something to write home about. Not coming back, too many pho shops to explore

LOLLL. I understand having pride in your business but learn how to take criticism. Unless..... you're the only perfect person in the world, wait that doesn't seem right now does it?

Highly recommend the Flank and Chicken Pho! Delicious, large portions and great price! You have to try the Thai Tea The ambiance is chill and relaxing.

I get pho and other items off the menu here at least once a month. I love the soups, the stew, and egg rolls. I've been to many other pho places as well, but this one is close and convenient. It's always good. I also get take out and everything is packaged up well. Good service and I usually don't have an issue with parking. The lot can get busy at night.

First time here took to go 1 sea food pho 1 rare steak and brisket1 bbq sandwich Both nice amount of food noodles delicious broth was good and sides were sufficient good family owned place will return with the family and eat in house.

I give this place 5 stars. This is my friend's pho shop. I love the beef plate with egg rolls.

Open the bag everything is fres, the broth was so amazing along I almost forgot to add anything!!! Amazing customer service don't listen to the reviews and miss out on this amazing food!!!
