I ordered the pho with eye round steak, which was flavorful and had a generous amount of meat but needed more noddles. I also tried the shrimp wrapped in sugar cane. While I liked the taste, it was quite dry, possibly due to being deep-fried. A dipping sauce might have improved it. Additionally, the menu indicated it should come with four pieces, but we only received three and menu picture also shows a side sauce but never got one.I also ordered the Vietnamese crepes. I wasn't asked what kind of meat I preferred and received shrimp, but there were only a few pieces, and they were cut in half. The crepes were just okay. The vegetables for both the pho and crepes were somewhat fresh. The restaurant is small, with about six tables seating four people each.

My go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Federal Way. The ambience is casual, great for a quick meal. There is almost never a wait. Get the #29 Trang's Special, which comes with so much toppings, spring roll, beef wrap, shrimp with sugar cane and a ton of grilled pork. The Bun Bo Hue and pho are decent too, and so is the banh mi. The owner is super nice, and makes the best food.

Pho Trang is a little hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant that my friends and I stopped by after being in Tacoma. It wasn't busy when we got in around 2pm on Saturday and after seeing people post about Bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and that it was an off-menu item, I had to try it. The bun bo hue ended up being a pretty good overall dish, it wasn't mind blowing but I would say it was satisfying. It was spicy but not overpowering that you're burning your tongue. My other friend also ordered the same bowl, but the waiter didn't hear it the first time around, so it came pretty late. Therefore, if you're ordering and things don't come out on time, it's a good idea to check with them so you're not stuck waiting for your food. The other food items that came seemed pretty fresh, so it seems to be a generally good restaurant to check out.

I tried the bun Bo Hue here for the first time and it was as amazing as past reviews stated! The broth's depth of flavor was incredible. The level of spice was perfect! I have no complaints. This was quite possibly the best Bun Bo Hue I've had in south king county so far. Definitely going back for it again!

This is a sleeper Vietnamese restaurant! Tuck away in federal way, no wonder why mainstream is not blowing it up! I assure you that this place is authentic as it gets! I am rating their pho, bun Bo hue, and vermicelli pork noodle. The consistency and quality is what makes this simple Vietnamese joint shine. You don't need anything fancy when it comes to Vietnamese food. It is a bit of a comfort food. You need it to "hit the spot" every time, and the owner at this establishment does just that.I often get the bun thit nuong without the bun (noodle) and they do not skimp out on the veggies! If anything the compensate for the no noodles! Grilled pork... this is how it should be, actually grilled, and not pan fried or sautéed like some Vietnamese joints! For me this is a 1 to 2 star knock down if I find a place that makes thit nuong without grilling it. Grilling the pork is the "OG" way of Vietnam and gives you that authentic taste.Service can be slow but it is often a women show so support her! Her husband Does not come in till later evening to provide the additional support. Expect a mom and pop kind of a joint for service and ambiance!I will say Santa Ana in cali has one of the best Vietnamese food but for you Washingtonian this one is out spot!

This place is legit. Tried some of the pho broth and it was amazing. I stopped ordering pho out because I generally like how I make mine better. Broth was super flavorful and that perfect clearness. I ordered the lemongrass chicken and wow. Soooo bomb! Chicken was tender and had alllll the flavors. My friend ordered the bun bo hue and let's just say, I now have to go back and order one for myself. The flavor profiles in all the dishes were incredible. They hit every mark. Also had the Vietnamese crepe and it was that perfect crispy on the outside, also very good. The woman was very nice. Definitely a little local hidden hole in the wall. If you're an out of towner and can only choose one place to eat and feelin like Vietnamese food, stop here! I didn't take any photos because I just dived right into my food lol.

Really great, underrated spot. Affordable, great portions, and it's a small family operation that does it all so well.Tables are clean, service is great. And I love coming here each time. The food is amazing.I highly recommend the Bun Thit Nuong (vermicelli grilled pork bowl) and the Pho Dac Biet (pho with all cuts of meat).EDIT: to eat bun thit nuong correctly, pour the entire fish sauce bowl into the bowl and mix!

This is your sign to trust the hole in the wall. This place is tucked away in an awkward pocket of pacific hwy and looks awfully sketchy which is all the reason you need to trust that the flavors will deliver. As a Banh Mi fanatic, I've been on a hunt for a good sandwich and this was it. I tried the chicken banh mi and the chicken was tender, veggies were crisp and fresh, the bread was soft with the perfect toasty crunch and the flavor was impeccable. Cost was about $9.
