Pho Tai

I have a collection searching for the greatest Banh Mi in Tacoma. I have no idea why this place has such brutal reviews - this was an outstanding Banh Mi with a ton of meat, fresh veggies, and friendly staff. Pay no attention to all the haters out here in East tacoma, Pho Tai pops off! 5 stars.

I am glad we went around 11:30 because it got busy during lunch time on Friday. There's a line waiting for take out and all the seats were taken. I personally think the noodles are to soggy and too soft, it's not really good. The broth on the other hand was tasty and warm me up. There were so much meat with just regular which is a good thing. I personally love the fatty meat and meat balls. The steaks were okay to me. I think they definitely need to improve the noodles situation. They had great service and servers were really nice.

Food was great! Ordered two pho noodles and a mixed noodle. Restaurant was very clean, which I loved. Prompt and friendly service.

I always forget how good Pho Tai is until we go here again. Everything here is really high quality and delicious. We usually get pho, a bahn mi, and gyoza. The boba drinks are great as well.Great little spot. Can not recommend this place highly enough.

Phó Tai Restaurant used to be our go to spot for Thai food. No more. We placed a delivery order several days ago and our order was shorted. We ordered two (2) Spring Rolls with peanut dipping sauce. Package delivered (via Postmates) and the peanut sauce and one of the spring rolls was missing.We contacted Phó Tai and the lady I spoke with offered no concern or assistance at all. In fact, she stated that if we wanted to either get our money back (on one spring roll) we would have to come into the restaurant to get it a refund or replacement. I insisted that we would not come to the restaurant, thus the reason for delivery order. Extremely poor customer service. As a side note, the Ox Tail soup when previously ordered (on numerous occasions), was great and the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. The delivery order received was extremely tough and chewy. Apparently there's a new cook in the kitchen. And the single spring roll was dry and tough, as though it was a left over from the day before.Phó Tai will no longer be a restaurant of choice.

Ok so I've obviously been to my share of Vietnamese restaurants and they each have something different that stands out to me. First off, I'm probably the only weirdo that's not into pho at all...I know right? So, I can't really give any feedback on that piece unfortunately (I've heard nothing but good things though). It's the tofu banh mi for me. Seriously bomb.com and I feel like they get tastier every time I order them. I'm not sure what it is about their version that makes it better than the others, maybe it's the umami Mayo? Or the crisp pickled veggies on the sandwich? Regardless, it's consistently fire! My coworkers and I are guilty of always door dashing Pho Tai while at work cause it's so damn good.Side note, the fresh rolls aka salad rolls are just ok. There's better places for those...

Used to be a good place now its bad it gave me food poisoning! I tasted the chicken and it had a very weird taste it was for the spicy teriyaki, I only ate a few pieces to then leave there and not eat the nest day I was sick, I do not know if it's because of a new cook not taking hygiene procedures as there is a new one now and food no longer tastes good anymore like back then.

My family and I were in the area, so we decided to grab a late lunch at Pho Tai. My sister and dad both ordered pho, but I ordered a vermicelli salad bowl. I ordered #32 (char-broiled pork, noodles, salad, fish sauce, assorted veggies, and egg roll). This is a very big bowl; maybe even bigger than the last time I was here. It has a lot of noodles, so I wish there was more meat and fish sauce with it. However, it was still good! Really good to eat on a warm, sunny day since it's a cold dish with no soup.

Best chicken and pork plate you'll find in Tacoma, the staff and owners are very friendly and make sure you're always satisfied. Also their salad dressing is so addictive I'll put it on everything and I always ask for extra of it.

Phone in your takeout order and order by menu number and name. Reheat Pho broth before assembling the ingredients in a big bowl. Soup, salad and sandwiches were all good. Not a fancy place.
