Pho Mai Cali & Grill

Amazing food, hot and fresh every time. I ordered the Banh Mi Chao and the Grilled Pork Rolls and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. Very sweet staff as well. 5 stars!! :)

When I have a pho craving, I can always count on this place to deliver a solid, consistent quality product. It hits the spot each and every time. I usually order to go and they pack everything nicely and securely.

Pho Mai Cali and Grill is my go-to spot for banh xeo! While the ambiance could use a facelift, the exceptional service and delicious food more than make up for it. This place is a gem that I love returning to again and again.

Ordered takeout for the first time and will definitely be back! Chicken banh mi was excellent and the bread was so fresh. Packaged the pickled veggies on the side to keep it from getting soggy which was great. Spring rolls were huge and fresh with flavorful peanut sauce. Overall great tasting food at a great value, and prepared quickly.

Was totally craving pho when we were in national city and our usual spot was crowded, so we decided to give this spot a try. This spot was locared on Sweetwater Road and not Plaza Blvd, but in all honesty, it was more crowded there cause it was near the 805 exit. But once you make your way into the center (the one with Super Sergio's) it's really easy to find parking. There's a good amount of handicap parking too which was nice considering we had my grandma as well.This place was a literal hole in the wall with probably about 8 tables. Was it the cleanest? No. But it wasn't dirty. You could tell it was one those places that are very "homey". I'm not sure if it was family owned but it gave that vibe. I did notice that one of the workers there was extremely grumpy though. He'd walk away grumbling after taking orders. And I noticed he was kind of harsh when bringing out people's orders and kind of just throwing their plates onto the tables. For all I know, it could've been a bad day for him but that's the one big thing I noticed. The other worker there was very sweet and I could tell she was kind of carrying the night. I saw her running and taking orders, taking care of payments at the register and bringing out food. So big props to her.I had a bit of a stomach ache so I didn't want anything heavy. I got chicken pho and it was very soothing to the stomach. But compared to other pho places, I did wish the broth had a bit more flavor to it. But I ordered a small and I thought it was a large, so that was a good thing. We ordered egg rolls for an appetizer and those were really yummy. You could tell they were fresh cause when I bit into them, you could still see the steam coming out of it. Not pictured but my boyfriend got the fried rice special, he liked it but he also agreed it was kind of lacking taste. But he also did think the portion was pretty big.I wouldn't mind coming back. This place was quick, easy to get to and pretty affordable. It's not one of my top choices for pho here in San Diego, but convenience wise, I would utilize it. I would definitely say support them though!

Came here for the first time with my best friend. I love pho, especially on a gloomy day or when I'm feeling under the weather. I've been to a variety of pho restaurants, including all over Chula Vista, La Mesa, and El Cajon Blvd. Mai Cali definitely hits quality and flavor. I got a mix of brisket, tendons, well done flank, and steak. I ordered one order of shrimp spring rolls and it came with four big spring rolls with their delicious peanut dip. The beef was all tender and easy to bite. The meat melted in my mouth. The noddles were so yummy as well (ate it all!) Their customer service is also a 5/5 stars This restaurant had a very kind and welcoming environment. The restaurant had closed at 8pm (about 20 minutes before we got there) however the staff continued to tell us to not worry and to take our time as they were closing.

Had the Pho here for the first time and I gotta say the broth was pretty bombastic. The fillers were aight, but not bad at all. Had it to go so didn't get the full experience but the place was pretty good. Will go back again...

This place never disappoints. Came here 20 min before closing since we were craving some pho. Service was fast and the server was nice. The place was decorated like any other pho place with pictures of their dishes scattered on the walls. We got the small combination with extra broth on the side. We also ordered their egg rolls which came with sauce and mint/lettuce. It was a lot and enough to feed two adults and two kids. The broth tasted clean, flavorful, and light. Meat was tender and it also came with some rare meat slices.

I have not personally ate here my self, however I have ordered from Pho Mai Cali through Uber eats plenty of times and it has always been delicious each and everytime!I always order their special Dac Biet Pho and bbq chicken or pork banh mi and omg sooo good!! They're definitely one of the best, if not only, pho options on Uber eats hands down. The broth is always steaming hot and is always perfectly seasoned where I don't even have to add anything to it! They give a lot of meat too! Banh mi Sandwiches are always packed and loaded and I love how they pack the pickled veggies on the side. It even comes with a lil side of pho broth with sliced up meat balls for you to dip your banh mi in, like a pho dip! I've also tried their egg rolls, Goi cuon shrimp and pork spring rolls, and seafood and veggie stir fry which have all been good as well!

Tried this place for the first time. Ordered the pho Hanoi, spring rolls, and banh xeo. All were good but absolutely love the pho Hanoi. It came in a huge bowl with lots of meat. Sorry didn't take a pic of it, too busy eating it. Such a gem that we found this place while staying at the campground in Chula Vista. Service was great as well, the waiter was very nice to us. Will definitely come back again.
