Hello neighbors. Came to let you all know NOT to try pho Leo on main st and Guthrie I called and placed my order and was told 30 minutes.Walked in 30 minutes after I placed my order this is how everything went down."Just one?""No I'm here to pick my order.""Ok just wait"She didn't ask my name or any other way to identify my order. So I sat and waited until another server came out. "Excuse me, I'm here to pick up my order. The other lady didn't ask my name before telling me to wait""What's your name?"Michelle"You need to wait."This is where I started to get upset because how are you going to get rude when I'm asking about my order."Can you tell me how much longer it's going to be?""Wait."He walked into the kitchen, walked out did something, walked back into the kitchen and then again came out trying to take someone else's order.I waited another 10 minutes and STILL no answer about my order. I got up and walked to the opening of the kitchen "Hello?! How much longer is this going to take??!!!""I'm asking now you need to be patient."Over 40 minutes of waiting and you want me to be more patient than I've already been?!?!! I told them to cancel the order and walked out. I recommend THAT YOU STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT and their very rude servers.

WE wanted to try a new Pho experience so we tried Pho Leo. Food is exceptionally good, but service with a smile is NON EXISTENT. The elder lady who is a server was exremely mean and rude. It wasn't just us. We witnessed her being that way to all the patrons that evening. My wife who is Asian is a very mellow person but she said she would never go back with me. She said if i want to go with friends....fine, but don't plan to include her. Additionally the lighting is a bit on the dingy side. TIP: If you walk in and see an elder short lady working, head for the door unless you like dealing with a dinner downer.

Clean including restrooms. A few lights out in restaurant. Friendly and efficient service. My Bun Bo Hue: side of bean sprouts not super fresh, basil fresh. Broth spicy but lacked lemongrass. Noodles had nice bouncy texture. Beef slices were the highlight- tender, lean and thinly sliced; nice tendon; pork sausage lacked flavor. Overall 3.7Hubs' Vermicelli Bowl: Full-flavored side broth, savory variety of meats and shrimp, generous portion. Fresh marinated veggies and a yummy meat egg roll. Overall 4.0Next time will try the veggie pho with tofu. Extra $3 to use credit card. Our total with tip 43. We paid cash. No appetizers or drinks. Recommend. ~EG Eats

Awful service. I went with my sister and the woman gave us a single water bottle to share between us without a single cup to be able to pour it into. Luckily we're sisters and din't mind sharing the bottle. Egg rolls didn't come with shredded carrots and daikon or lettuce and we had to request it. They did not have nuoc beo (onion oil) or chili oil to add into the pho. This place is very stingy and barely gave me any basil and beans sprouts to add to the pho and the fish sauce that came with the egg rolls was about a tablespoon worth. I'm well versed in eating pho, being Vietnamese myself. The lemonade ordered was so tart and not sweetened and the iced Vietnamese coffee I ordered was barely chilled and tasted a few days old instead of fresh. Definitely not worth my time and money.

The food was good, got it to go! Very sweet couple. Only downside is they only accept cash or else you pay a good amount more to use credit card.

How can a restaurant with fantastic food make you feel so sad? They put shady pricing tactics into place that make you feel a bit cheated. Our table ordered a combination pho with egg noodles -- which was the best pho bowl I've had east of the Asian district -- and a lemongrass tofu vermicelli dish that was so flavorful with a nice kick. I have no qualms about the food. It was pretty stellar. The first hint we had that Pho Leo was pretty profit-hungry was the waiter poking his pen on my menu several times asking if we wanted (or more so urging us) to order drinks or appetizers. The second was when my mom asked for a vegetarian sauce instead of the fish sauce-based nuoc cham -- granted that the lemongrass tofu was on the "vegetarian" menu -- and the waitress begrudgingly dropped soy sauce at our table. When we got the check, we realized we were charged for our waters without warning -- water isn't even on the menu and we didn't ask for bottled. The waitress also told us only upon taking our card that there'd be a $3 fee for using credit card (that's a 10% charge on our meal -- WAY more than credit card processing fees). This fee wasn't posted anywhere. If the restaurant owners are reading, I highly recommend raising prices instead of using these outdated tactics. I would've gladly paid that extra $5 for my bowl of pho. Its quality is great, portions are very generous, and Pho Leo is basically the only great pho place serving East Mesa. Inflation sucks, but we're all in it together -- it's 2024 and hidden charges are out.

"They could serve me a boiled-down shoe in this broth and I'd feel like I ate like a KING!"- my husband, referring to their spicy beef noodle soup. Their portions are generous, and the temperature is PERFECT. It's hot, but not so hot that you have to let it cool down before diving in. I cannot get enough of their pho with sirloin; I practically dream about their broth. For my fellow water snobs, they served bottled water and that was heavenly. Tap water in Mesa is gross and I appreciate that it was nowhere near me this evening. Service is efficient and no-frills, and the overall vibe is relaxed and slow. The only complaint I have is the lighting, which is at once harsh and too dim.

Perhaps the worst Vietnamese food I have ever had. The service was quick but unfriendly. The inside was clean but old. This is poverty level food at best. Not sure how this restaurant is in business.

Was craving pho and hit up my handy Yelp app and found Pho Leo near by. After reading the reviews I was looking forward to giving it a try!It was a Sunday afternoon, and the place was busy but not packed, service was a little slow but it looked like only a few were working the entire place, but they were friendly and never made you feel rushed when ordering. After checking out the menu I ordered some shrimp spring rolls and Pho Ga. The spring rolls were shrimp, rice vermicelli, lettuce, cilantro and mint rolled in rice paper, and it came with a side of peanut sauce, these were fresh tasty and I love how the mint just pops with flavor. The Pho was served with bean sprouts, basil leaves, jalapenos lime wedge along with rice noodles and sliced chicken breast. This was a great bowl of Pho. Glad to have given Pho Leo a try!
