We're from the Bay Area- pretty hard to beat Vietnamese food in San Jose. But Pho Kitchen was very tasty.Goi cuốn spring rolls - thin wrap paper with just the right amount of herbs/protein.Pho đặc biệt combination- broth was light and flavorful (wish they had option for thicker noodles) but my bf said it was the best pho he's eaten in SD so far. Large portions for the large bowl. Bun bo hue- fragrant and flavorful broth with tender meat.Ambiance- clean & inviting & the AC helps when you decide to eat soups in the summer. Service- helpful & friendly .Def come back!

Food: I've had the pho and curry noodles here. Both are just OK. The pho didn't have the depth of beef broth I was hoping for. The sate they had was unfortunately underseasoned and not very spicy. The curry noodles were a bit bland, but the cook on the chicken was perfect. Service: Hit or miss depending on who you get. Ambiance: The interior has a soft, dim look. It was almost like it was meant for a date.

I've been a loyal customer here for years, consistently supporting them and enjoying their food. On my last visit, I ordered two large P1 (filet mignon) to-go. However, by the time I drove all the way home and was ready to eat, I discovered that they had forgotten to include the meat, leaving me with just the pho. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. I called to let them know the issue, and they promised to give me my next order of two P1s for free. All I had to do was call in and provide my name. Problem solved, or so I thought.Today, when I called to redeem this offer, they claimed to have no record of the incident and refused to honor their previous promise. No sympathy, no problem solving, and they even had the audacity to say that the older gentleman I spoke to "has never worked there", even though I see him working at the counter all the time. I was genuinely surprised at the lack of communication within their team. This experience has definitely soured my impression of the restaurant, and I won't be supporting them anymore.

My family came here 45 minutes before closing and they seated us right away! restaurant was clean and tidy. Ordered the eggrolls as an appetizer, 3 bowls of pho, and the beef stew. All vegetables were so fresh and broth was flavorful and light. They offered so much meat in the bowls of pho, and the baguette that came with the beef stew was perfect. Service was quick and meal was reasonably priced. Highly recommend when craving vietnamese food!

I asked my little cousin if she wanted to grab food one night as her parents were busy with other things. The first thing she suggested was pho! And that was exactly what I was craving LOL. Instead of going to her usual place, I persuaded her to try this place with me. The location that my cousin and I went to is located in between Chevron gas station and Spices Thai Cafe in Plaza Sorrento on Mira Mesa Blvd. There's a parking lot with ample stalls. I got their Pho Dac Biet combination special with the rare top eye round (beef) on the outside. The broth was lukewarm which wasn't too bad but my rare beef slices weren't able to cook saaad. The broth had a relatively good flavor to it but tasted a bit too "clean". Didn't hate it though! We also shared a half order Cha Gio (egg rolls) which came with 3 rolls. This was actually the best! Lots of crunch and flavor to them. Loved how they gave out lettuce to wrap around the egg rolls. Yum! Even when I ordered take out on a different day and had the egg rolls sitting in the bag for at least 15 mins, they were still really crispy! Super impressed.Being one of the only pho restaurants in Sorrento Valley was a good idea as other restaurants are located in Del Mar or in Mira Mesa. Definitely a spot to go whenever I'm too lazy to drive further away for pho if my friend from La Jolla wanted any.

This Vietnamese restaurant is a hole in the wall. It's sad that it is not open late, but that may be to keep their quality up. As soon as I came in, the staff greeted me and asked me if I wanted to eat in or order takeout. As soon as I sat down, they gave me a glass of ice water with a lime wedge. They have hoisin sauce at every table but sriracha upon request due to the shortage.Their com tam dish did not disapppoint by any means. They give you a huge plate along with a bowl of pho broth and their fish sauce for dipping your meat in. The meat wasn't very salty, which made the fish sauce compliment it without needing 10 cups of water. Most of the staff are bilingual but pointing does the job. They take cards and cash.

FRAUDS AND SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL!I didn't get my credit card back after paying. But I did get my receipts and I didn't realized this until I got a fraud alert. They took my card and used it. You're probably thinking how do I know what if someone else took it? Well because when they gave me the receipt to sign I remember my card wasn't there. Also they cleaned the table pretty close to when we were out the door if they had our card they could have flag us down. The food was mediocre at best and I got my card stolen. NEVER AGAIN!

It's hard to separate yourself from other similar restaraunts when so many exists.. but this place.. wow!! Pho was so full of flavor, house speciality noodles, and the RS plate was just out of this world. We were treated like ViP the minute we got there. Serving their special water of cucumber and mint and Danny was just the best host! This is a must try when on Mira Mesa Blvd!!! Ambiance was quiet but full of energy.. we will be back!

As a disclaimer, SD area is rlly not known for Vietnamese cuisine. Even 1 hour up north (OC) will have one of the best Vietnamese food capitols of the US. Having come from a Vietnamese background and eaten at all the Vietnamese food capitols of US, I was trying very hard to not compare it to those locations, but rather, take in account the local area of SD. service was rlly good and fast. Plenty of seating on a Friday night. Good job! I got the pho and the spring rolls. It got the fix taken care of. Was it the most flavorful broth? No. Was the meat pretty tender and good? Yes. I've eaten a lot of pho in my life, and so its not exactly fair. I'd give it a 6/10. The spring rolls were fresh, but lacking any substance from the shrimp or the meat. Also 6/10z The sauce was very hoisin based, but i prefer peanut taste dominant sauces. Overall, i still think this is one of the more authentic and better places in the SD area. Kudos to the family and staff for their hard work! because the service was good, i would highly recommend to those who are craving viet food!

I always come here if I want pho. I can't go to other restaurants anymore because Pho Kitchen has set the bar so high. The broth, consistency and quality of noodles, and above all - the meat - are what keep me coming back to Pho Kitchen. Hats off to the staff who are attentive and fast. I always leave this restaurant in good spirits.
