Pho Kha

I was hungry for some Chinese food and stumbled into this little shop called Pho Ka in National City. I was quickly schooled that pho is not Chinese food, but I decided to try it anyways. The food was incredible! I had the pho soup with a big rib, and some tripe and other delicious meats in it. The chicken wings were amazing--crispy and delicious. The sauce was incredible!The owner, Richie, was this cool Korean kid who was super down to earth. He had apparently just purchased a Corvette. Even though it's not a BMW and it's kinda slow, he's still cool.Highly recommend checking out Pho Ka if you're in the area and craving something delicious!

Traveling to San Diego for Comic Con, staying on the military base nearby. We were craving pho and stumbled upon this place. Where we live there are no pho places that are any good so we save the cravings for when we visit other areas. We met Angela the owner who was very attentive and took time to make small talk with us. We shared stories about our Pho seeking adventures! She also proudly talked to us about her children. Her son is in the military. that in itself makes us more inclined to support her business. Everything we had here was amazing! The broth was so tasty and the vermicelli bowl was very filling. Both the spring rolls and the fried egg roll was delicious as well. Even the boba in my Vietnamese coffee was boiled to perfection!We will definitely come back when we're in the area again!

Our normal pho location in National City was pretty busy so we decided to stop by Pho Kha. Upon arrival we got seated right away and the server was super friendly and nice. They made a table for us right away and gave us water. We looked at the menu and order the chicken and rice plate, well done beef pho, rare beef pho, pork spring roll, chicken wings, and a side of bread. The pho was delicious, the broth kind of reminded me of PHOnimenial. It's sweeter than other pho places I have tried which I enjoy. The pork spring roll was delicious! I would get that instead of regular spring roll, it's a nice twist. The chicken was delicious and crunchy. It was not overly salty and the crisp was the topper for me! The chicken and rice was good as well, it is def on the sweeter side as well. Glad I stopped by here to grab dinner, it was worth it!Super small area with great vibes and great customer service. Will be coming back again!

Had the P7 and viet iced coffee! Pho was so delicious and the coffee was exquisite. Service was fast and very friendly!

Will travel for good Pho!!I love Pho, and Pho Kha did not disappoint. Customer Service was excellent from start to finish.I ordered my go to which is rare steak pho and a order of spring rolls with fish sauce. The pho broth was very flavorful, a tad bit sweet but good bone taste. My only complaint was they do not serve a lot of veggies compared to other pho places. My server was very nice to bring me more sprouts, Thai basil etc.The spring rolls I would pass on. I didn't really like how rubbery the rice paper was when biting into it, and the fish sauce wasn't it for me. It needed more tang or something. I love the added touch of the water carafe and metal cups.If I'm in the area again I would try Pho Kha again and try some other dishes.

A small local spot for pho, authentic pho flavoring! It truly is the best pho in town. You're seated right away and the place was packed by dinner time. Glad we came when we did. The pho was rich in flavors and tasted like home cooked pho. Everything was perfect and just what I needed! Thank you!

Came here to this small restaurant twice already and can say that this will be my go-to for pho. The broth is so deep, flavorful, and different than your regular pho spot. I love adding their chili oil into it as well.I'll be trying different menu items each time I come, but I recommend the Nem Nuong rolls!! The sausage in it is really good.Fried wontons are surprisingly good too, wish it came with more.Vietnamese coffee is okay, I can find it better somewhere else. I came here for the food, anyway!

I came here for the first time for Pho. I got the Pho KHA Special, Steak Pho, Egg rolls and shrimp spring rolls. The special pho was really good with a nice beef bone. The egg rolls were perfect with a nice crush. Spring rolls with the peanut sauce was on point. I will be coming back again. Thank you very much for taking care of me. I need to try the wings next time.

Service was definitely worth the 20% tip in my opinion - super attentive and helpful!Food was amazing! The egg rolls were made fresh, so super crunch, hot and TASTEFUL. Honestly my favorite part of the meal! The Pho Ka special is something to behold! At first I was a bit overwhelmed because of the spare rib....but the meat is super tender and literally falls off the bone! The broth is super rich and the noodles were nice and soft.The only gripe that I have is that the boba can be TOO sweet, it tastes great and all but having it too sweet makes it a bit hard to drink.Overall a great experience!!!
