delicious food, sweet and attentive staff, and lots of parking! my mom got the stir fried shrimp noodles and she also liked it

I'm a bit sad to write this review, since this has been our go-to pho place for the past few years. The food is solid and tastes great, but today when I went in to pick up my order I saw 3 cockroaches crawling along the floor.... Including one that somehow dropped from the ceiling landing on the seat next to me where I was sitting waiting for my food. When I got back home I noticed that they forgot one of the items in my order, and I didn't really want to drive back out there. What a shame as I really liked the place and the people there were nice.

On a positive note, this place offers chicken broth for pho which is rare and hard to find!I ordered for take out, spring rolls and chicken pho. Definitely disappointed in the chicken quantity, it was in a small box (pixtured) that also included the noodles and cilantro/ onions. Would not order for take out. The broth itself was okay, not very flavorful.My favorite part was the excellent customer service!

Their portions have gotten smaller and their prices higher. On many occasions we have asked for more sauces and they were not given. The last few times we asked as we left and they assured us there were extra sauces... there wasn't .. it's not for a lack of English, as they communicated fine, it wIs just plain laziness. These portions are joke for the cost. We will fine another place. Plus the guy behind the counter isn't even very friendly.

I really love how kind the staff is and the quiet coziness of the restaurant. My boyfriend and I have been coming here every Monday evening for the past few weeks after church and the food never disappoints! The pho and spring rolls are solid! The pork bahn mi though.. that was such a pleasant surprise! I can't believe this entire time I was so sure I had to drive to Mira Mesa to get a decent Vietnamese sandwich. This place beats my former go-to shops Cali Baguette and Bale's. Pho Hoàng Express doesn't skimp on the meat, the pork is tender and flavorful, they have a good balance of the pickled and fresh fixings, and the bread is so good! Will definitely continue coming back!

Been awhile since my last visit. Even longer since the last time I dined here with either of my kids.My eldest picked pho for lunch on her birthday so of course I was more than happy to oblige after picking up from school on a minimum day.Here's what we ordered:A2 - Spring Rolls: the rice paper was sticking together, which is a clear indication that these were not made to order, which is ideal and preferred. Again, being understaffed plays a part in not being able to make this item to order and ensure freshness.P12 - Pho Tai Gau, large: Good. Hot. I remember the bowl being larger. I also remember my stomach being smaller. And I also understand that ingredients cost more right too.K1 - Kids Pho, well done beef: my daughter enjoyed, except for a bit of fat on one piece of meat so it must have been good overall. She could have used scissors; though it was so busy I was unable to get them for N3 - Vietnamese pressed Coffee with condensed milk: normally she his gets served up front with any appetizers ordered, but for some reason it literally came last. Unsure if they simply forgot about it until the end or what, but I would have been happier if they just forgot altogether so I could have it removed from the bill instead of having to wait for French press coffee to finish slowly dripping.A bit of a wait to be greeted and get a table upon arriving, which is unusual. They were a bit understaffed, which affected the usual prompt turnaround on the usual dining experience.Overall, the visit was solid. Most of the food was freshly prepared and most importantly the dishes tasted good.Happy to report that this restaurant is still worth going to for pho over the increasing number of other places that emphasize aesthetics over food quality and taste.

There really isn't that many great Asian restaurants in the RB area. That's why Pho Hoang is a treasure. My parents have been coming to this place for years. After moving back to San Diego from LA, it's becoming one of my go-to pho place. We've tried almost everything on their menu, from their pho, to their beef stew, to the dry vermicelli, to their rice dishes. All are fantastic. Their pho broth is rich, but not overbearing. Full of flavor, yet at the same time "light". The dry vermicelli with veggies is also one of my favorites to order. It's refreshing but filling. I also love the rice dishes. Everything is just simply delicious. They are generous with their portions. I've never tried their drinks and desserts but I always see people ordering them. I am glad Pho Hoang is in my area. I hope they stay the same. They have a loyal customer in me.

One of my Fav and authentic Vietnamese restaurant in San Diego. It's a family run restaurant and everything taste soo good and fresh. My husband loves orange chicken and they have the best in town which has right balance of sweet and sour sauce. I would recommend trying this out.

We love this place! The food is great and the service is great too! I'd love to give it a 4.5 though just because it doesn't seem very clean. Needs a deep scrub.

My go to restaurant. The Pho Broth is great and very tasty. I can eat Pho daily! I highly recommend this restaurant!
