Pho Cow Cali Express

Love this place for Vietnamese food. Pretty authentic. Our family goes there about once or twice a month. Always quick service from the friendly staff and food served hot. I like their Pho Dac Biet (#1 on the menu for $12.95 for the large bowl). It has sliced flank steak, sliced eye round steak, tripe, and tendon. I order it without tendon and tripe. I also like their rice with pork chop dish too. There is normally a line to be seated but it's usually less than 30 mins. There's a lot of seating inside and no outdoor seating.

Service is fast! Food is pretty cheap compared to the big portions that you get. Some of the spoons on the table were a bit oily and dirty so make sure you wipe them good. Do recommend :)

This is, without a doubt, one of the best pho places not only in Mira Mesa but in all of San Diego. Phở Cow Cali boasts some of the highest quality meats, and they are generous with their portion sizes. I would recommend dining in rather than opting for takeout, as the portions tend to be slightly smaller for takeout orders.When we arrived, the line was quite long, but it moved quickly. The service was exceptionally fast, and the waitstaff were very friendly. The atmosphere was lively and bustling due to the high volume of patrons. Despite being consistently busy, the efficient service ensures that the wait time is minimal.What truly sets this place apart is the perfect combination of high-quality food, excellent service, and affordable prices compared to other pho restaurants. Phở Cow Cali offers an exceptional dining experience that keeps me coming back for more.

I came here with my mom and since we were a table of 2 we got seated quickly. We already had an idea of what we were going to order therefore ordering was fast. At first, we were sitting at a table. They asked us if we could move to the booth so we did. I noticed they wanted to make the space available to a man who had a leg injury-- great quick thinking of having us move.The servers were really kind and interacted with us well. The service (food) was so quick! As soon as we sat in the booth, I noticed a man coming out of the kitchen carrying our food. We ordered a large pho with the soft & semi fatty meat and the rare meat. This came with a plate of beansprouts, some mint, and a lime. I do wish we had more veggies, but it was still a good and significant amount for the two of us. The noodles weren't in a clump at the bottom of the bowl and it wasn't overcooked. It was really tasty. The broth was piping hot and tasted clean. I loved it before even having a squeeze of lime juice! The utensils are already on the table and they are clean. Different sauces can be added if you like that (hoisin, sriracha-- lighter color, sambal paste, chili oil, etc).In addition, we ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls. This came with a more hoisin-forward sauce rather than peanut sauce. They wrapped nicely. A good amount of chew to the rice paper (not dry or overly wet), a nice amount of veggies (lettuce, mint, beansprouts), and a well-balanced amount of rice noodles. The shrimp on the other hand was a bittt thinner than I liked...and I wish there were 1-2 more added in the roll. But it was cheap $$ and tasted delicious!

This place is quite cheap. About 13 dollars a dish and isn't small or bad. There is a line, but it moves quickly.Wouldn't recommend the pho, the broth is not rich or flavorful and the noodles are cheap quality.The rice dishes and appetizers are good though. Not too greasy.

Food was delicious. Something different. San Diego pho is I would go back there 3-4 times in a week. It was across town 35 min drive. The wait is crazy get there early.

Best pho in SD. Be warned that during busy times there will be a wait. Don't be turned away if you see a line because it moves pretty quickly. There's a lot of seats inside and the food comes out quick. My go to is the spring rolls and vegetarian pho. Their vegetarian broth is one of the best in SD as it actually has flavor. This is definitely my go to pho spot.

I would give this place a 3.8 star if possible. Decent place to try out Vietnamese food with affordable price. Plus point their prices haven't gone up much compared to the other Vietnamese restaurants in Mira Mesa neighborhood. Not necessarily nice but fast service. Atmosphere is almost always crowded with people line up. Menu is not very diverse but i like it simple like that. Definitely worth a visit.
