Pho 99 & Grill

Food was Excellent!!! Service was amazing The ambiance is so comforting!! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to enjoy a nice bowl of pho!! Great studying spot too, very quiet place!

Its 6/20/2023 and the soft open is in effect under new owners that are keeping it under the same name.Sry was in a hurry to get to a meeting and I didn't snap pics of a quick dinner.The egg rolls were great. Crispy and tasty!I had a small bowl of P8 pho ga, aka chicken pho noodle soup. It was never ending. How did they pack that much chicken and noodle in that bowl. It was white meat which is better for my weight loss meal tracking, and the noodles had a good flavor.They happily added a fried egg on the side for me, as I like to drop the runny yolk in the broth. It was cooked to crispy perfection so i was able to fold it in half with my chopsticks to munch in after scraping the yolk.All the veggies throughout dinner were fresh and crisp.My wife had a chicken and rice dish that came with fish sauce. I never saw her consume that much fish sauce in a sitting. She really liked it.The new owners were nice and friendly. We were the only customers, but it was a soft opening and an early Tuesday evening.If you are reading this, then give them a try and meet the new owners. They are still ramping up, so they didn't have menus and other printed materials delivered yet. Thats no big deal on a soft open. I was there for a clean place to have a tasty dinner, and I got it.They are the closest Pho to my house, so I think I'll be exploring their menu. Looking forward to trying the dish that had beef and lemongrass next...

We have been coming here for quite some time now, this is my third review here because I like coming back to update reviews for places I frequent. There was one time that we weren't the biggest fan of the food or service. We had came in and the staff were all different and the food tasted different, if I can remember right the music was even different. We didn't come back for quite some time after that because it saddened us that things were so different. But, the next time we went we brought my father and his wife (who is generally very picky and critical of things) and they loved the food and the service and food was back to what we were used to. My brothers order are the eggs rolls as an appetizer which he ADORES and the rockin chicken. He recently asked me if he could get the egg scrambled instead, which we did and he loves the way it tastes scrambled. I get the P4 with extra meat, I squeeze in a lime, throw on some of the hoisin sauce, and throw some of the vegetables from the side plate. My youngest brother gets the same order as me, kids size, and he puts some sriracha sauce in it.Overall, aside from that one time, the service is always incredible, the food is incredible, and our time there is amazing. When I go tell my brother we're going to pho 99, his eyes light up and he gets ready instantly to go out. I cannot recommend this place enough. We absolutely love it.

Food was okay but horrible service we had asked for banh pho tuoi but they end up giving us flat noodles for stir fry and was arguing with us about it like we've never had it before. It was absolutely disgusting and they end up charging us more for nasty bowl of pho.

Pho Is excellent here!! Love it every time I come here. They have great customer service and love the atmosphere here. Very relaxed sitting and peaceful. Definitely will continue to come here for my PHO fix!!

This is one of the best pho restaurants I've been to! It was clean and very nicely decorated, the staff are super friendly and responsive, and the music was soft, pleasant piano music (most pho places seem to play annoyingly loud pop). Oh, and the food was great. Awesome experience!

OMG this is the best pho I have ever tried. They just took over new ownership, home-cooked food the most delicious chicken broth so much chicken and noodles. You cannot even believe! The best Vietnamese eggrolls, Krispy, juicy side of homemade peanut sauce! Freshest lettuce and bean sprouts I have ever seen. Normally, they come brown on the edges these were white and crisp , one of the best experiences I've ever had! The owner came to speak to me and told me that she is a fourth generation in making Pho, her mother, her grandmother and her great grandmother 100 years of owning a restaurant in Vietnam with these special recipes . They were so sweet since . The service is wonderful they are so attentive and welcoming. I'm so lucky to have found this hidden gem!! This is a must try in the neighborhood easy access, delicious. I will be back again and again and again I can't stop raving about this place and such a good price! I'll be back tomorrow for more!!

Under new management for sure. The menu, food, and 1000% management changed. The PAST food was delicious and the people were great! Now the food was bland and they got my orders wrong plus apparently they close at 8 PM on Fridays per the people who work there but no sign on the door. The man serving and getting orders wrong was about to get my food while I was eating and pack it up for me saying it was time for us to leave. He stated they close at 8 PM and said we had to leave now. It was the worst experience ever at any restaurant I've been to. I would NOT recommend this place!

Under new management...This place was good for a while. Was our go to for Pho. Recently they've undergone a change in management. Menu has changed and quality not as good. They changed to offer small, medium and large bowls. But that's the last of the good stuff. Many items on the menu are not available. Our most recent order will be our last. We ordered beef tenderloin and a chicken. We got 2 servings of what seemed like beef broth (instead of 1 beef 1 chicken) and an order of tendons...even without the tendons, the noodles were mushy and soft and just seemed to become a huge blob of gelatin in the bowl. We decided we will not be returning to this location again.

I moved to Houston just over a month ago, and I'm so happy to have found an amazing Pho spot close to me. This is my second time in, and both times the service was quick and the chicken pho tasted AMAZING. The owner Nancy took care of me both times, and she is the absolute sweetest. She remembered me from my first time in, and welcomed me back with love and nice conversation. Amazing food & hospitality, will definitely be frequenting this spot and bringing friends with me!
