My dad and I used to go here when they were at their old location--probably 15-20 years ago! Today was my first time going since they changed to their current location years ago. Safe to say the food is still as delicious as back then. My dad and I always ordered the crispy noodles so I got that again this time. I love how the sauce at the bottom softens and flavors the noodles to give the dish different textures while you're eating. I do wish they put or had available on the tables black pepper to put on top. The hay cung was nice and crispy. Each dish was a big serving. I think the crispy noodle could serve 2 people, the basil beef was a big 1 person serving, and the hay cung came with 9 pieces which is enough for sharing with a friend or two.Next time I'd like to try their mee katang with wide rice noodle (not crispy)--that was another old favorite and I remembered I loved the bits of scrambled egg in that. Service was adequate. We had utensils brought for us, both tea and water were offered and refilled continuously, and they checked in with us a few times. It still feels like a family owned restaurant with how the workers were hanging out near the front. I think there's few Seattle restaurants that have been open as long as Phnom Penh--I'm always seeing places open and close after a few years--so it's always nice to visit an enduring establishment and I think places like these should be visited more. After tax but before tip, the 3 items we got totaled about $61

Visited Phnom Penh as one of the stops during a C-ID food walk, during which you can stop by local businesses and buy a featured menu item from each participating restaurant. For this stop, I ordered the Phnom Penh chicken wings, which were glazed in a sweet sauce, with jalapeños and green onions, making them both spicy and sweet.Interior was spacious and it appears to be a good place to dine in if we weren't on our way to the next stop on our food tour.

I was craving for hot and light-flavored soup and walking around Little Saigon area when I stumbled upon this Cambodian restaurant. It is a refreshing change from the usual Vietnamese pho so my curiosity led me to try it out. It didn't disappoint. The seafood is fresh and the soup is soothing. There is complimentary piping hot tea. The rest of the menu looks interesting with ingredients and descriptions that I have not seen elsewhere. Definitely a place worth going more than once!

One of the must try in Seattle, I've heard raving reviews about Phnom Penh for a long time, but they closed by the time I got around to being available to try it out due to their family emergency. They reopened and moved to a new location, but then covid hitted. Rare to find a Cambodian restaurant. Although, I find that a lot of dishes here have traits of other Asian cuisine. Beef noodle soup reminds of me the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Mee Katang reminds me of Chinese crispy chow mein. Lok Lac reminds me of Vietnamese shaken beef. Sachko Ji Kra Hom reminds me of Thai holy basil. Maybe we're all just a blend of each other. Their house chili oil was fire though, very addictive to add to any dish, they have it available for purchase! The only downside is the location which is not their fault. It's located right next to the sketchy tunnel in International District. Parking is questionable and walking to the restaurant is also, I would stick to coming during the day or walking with a group. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

The food is ok now not as good as I remember in the old location, but not bad. We enjoyed it. The coconut juice was so good! Skewers were also delicious. The dry noodle and lok lac were just okay. Customer service was so friendly and they the best they could to accomodate many customers at dinner.

It's one of the few places that you can get some Cambodian food in Seattle and it's run by such friendly folks. I think it has gone down a little bit in flavor since the last time I was here since their reopening in a new spot - every dish was a little too heavy handed with salt. This latest trip, I ordered the foursome beef noodle (sans tripe - sorry I just cant do it) and split some chicken wings and hay cung. First few bites are wonderfully umami but the salt levels just start to hit you and it is really difficult to power through the rest of the meal. I think they also changed their chicken wings and it wasn't as good as it used to be. I think I chugged about a liter of water during and after the meal just to get my salts in balance. I was also a little bit turned off from the explosion splatters in the bathroom and the lack of paper towel to use to open the door after washing hands... easy fixes that I hope gets incorporated.

Had the number 4 as my entree and the mango salad for the app. Man that salad was perfect. A great balance of sweet and spicy and just delicious! Loved the wontons in my soup and it came out hot!

The noodles are decent and the chicken wing is juicy. I'd go back if I'm around the area, but probably won't go out of my way for this.

Yum!! Tastes home made. Good for small or large groups. They have advanced payment options where you can order and pay directly through the app! Of course the server is willing to help if needed as well. Deep fried shrimp wrapped in fried bean curd with tamarind appetizer - SO GOOD! That tamarind dip is absolutely delicious. Goo Nam soup is flavorful and delicious. The wide rice noodles really add great texture to the soup. Their house chili is absolutely delicious!!

Overall Thoughts: Just super solid all around--delicious and richly flavorful dishes, quick and friendly service, clean and minimalist ambience, and reasonable prices. The flavors are bold and genuinely reminiscent of Southeast Asia. My friends and I went for dinner on a Thursday night, and it was pretty empty. If I'm ever back in Seattle, I hope to return to try more of the menu!! Food I tried:- Durian Shake (4.2/5): Pretty tasty, but I wish it was both creamier in texture and stronger in flavor. It was less of a drinkable, creamy "shake" and more like an icee / slushee. It also had a weaker durian flavor than other durian shakes I've had in my life.- Pa Lau Pot Vine Jrouk (pork intestine) (4.4/5): This was very umami, slightly sweet, and ultra crispy. It didn't taste that "gamey" either and paired wonderfully with the crisp side veggies.- Hay Cung (crispy shrimp rolls) (4.3/5): Another super crispy, umami appetizer. Not as memorable as the pork intestine but still good!- Grilled Sampler Platter (4.9/5): This was of my favorite dishes; the meats were grilled beautifully, period. They were so tender and oozing with flavor and juiciness. - A-Mok Trei (white fish in coconut red curry) (4.9/5): Along with the grilled meats, this was another favorite dish; I'm normally not the biggest fan of curries but these curry flavors are among the best I've had in the U.S. no joke. The fish was tender and soaked up the curry flavors scrumptiously.- Tender Duck Noodle Soup (4.3/5): We shared this among several people so I didn't get to try too much of it. From what I had thought, the soup was savory and aromatic and the noodles were nice and chewy. I wish it came with a bit more duck though.-- Price (relative to peers): 4.3/5Food: 4.5/5Ambience: 4.9/5Service: 4.9/5Overall Value: 4.6/5
