Philly's Best

My go to takeout spot in the west loop. Their Philly cheesesteaks are absolutely STACKED with meat and toppings. Definitely worth the price you pay for them. The large could even be split between 2 people. Nothing bad to say about this place, the people are nice and the food is great! Haven't tried their other menu items but their Philly cheesesteaks are incredible.

I've been a franchise patron since the original spot opened on Belmont. This spot was easier to access but not anymore, so I rarely visit. Wanted a change of pace late last year so I decided to order online for a snatch and grab but it wouldn't process. After several attempts to order online since late 2023, I stopped by and actually sorta found a place to park (fiending maybe). A sign telling you Cash Only payment system down, greets you. Welp that explains the inability to complete an online order. Ordering online garners free fries too... Placed order. Asked if fries were included given the online system is down. Told no. No more TastyCakes. Walked away. The place is similar to other greasy spoons on the other side of Halsted, not inviting for a sit down. Food is a good representation of a Philly cheesesteak. Not fiending enough to make the drive to the o5her location though.

I ordered a chicken Philly, it was ok but I would have liked to know was it dark near or white and no one was able to determine. I was surprised since they are in the kitchen preparing the food.

My boyfriend is from Philly and we wanted to get some Philly cheesesteaks to watch the Eagles game. We were skeptical at first cause we heard that this place went downhill after covid. But we thought it was great! I've never had a Philly but my boyfriend said it was really good and deemed phillys best as a "great place if you want a real authentic Philly."It may seem expensive but honestly is worth it. They do not skimp on the meat. This sandwich is heavy, flavorful, cheesy, greasy, messy, and of course delicious. One large sandwhich is good to split with another person or good for one hungry person. And as always get cheese wiz not provolone.

I appreciate that they serve chicken phillys. I also like that they offer provolone as a cheese to use. I don't like how little of the cheese they used to make the Philly, nor was the bread the freshest (i.e. the bread was tough to chew on the ends). Otherwise, the portion size of the meat and fries was large, but the sandwich overall didn't have much flavor. The diner was clean, and the food was ready on time though. I'd be open to revisiting, but I would order something else.

In a area that lacks seasoning when cooking food, this place is a blessing. Best philly's hands-down in the loop. The seasoned fries are fire too.

I bought a Philadelphia steak and was so disappointed, the prices went up but the quality sucks. And to pay for delivery. No ratings for you , do better.

This is IT! IMHO it's better than the couple of spots I've tried in Philly. They're a bit pricey but worth every penny. I used to go here for Philly cheesesteak pizza slices but this time I grabbed a slice of gyro pizza. The cucumber sauce under the meat with the cheese on top, babbbbyyyyy. Now on the cheesesteak, it comes with onion and cheese but you can have additions (like mushroom and peppers) for an additional charge (of course). I recommend getting the large so you can have some for later because you WILL want to eat more. That's just how good it is!

Beat Philly steaks ever!!! Make sure you get it on garlic bread. BaBa's could NEVERRRR!

Waited 2 hours for a sandwich that never arrived. When i called the restaurant, they said "our internet was turned off" so i was out of luck. Not even an apology.
