Oops we did it again! We enjoyed Phat Phat so we brought friends with us for a repeat visit. We ordered everything we ordered on our previous visit, plus: beef stew, green beans, soup dumplings, phat phat chicken, won tons and chocolate bao. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. Our server was very efficient and our food was brought out fairly quickly. Our friends enjoyed phat phat as much as we did and though we first thought we over ordered--we demolished it all.We are well on our way to becoming phat phat but we couldn't be happier!

A good dim sum restaurant, with a large menu 'book' with colorful pictures, Phat Phat Chinese Eatery in Schaumburg, has a large selection of dim sum, many using color to provide visual stimulation. My daughter chose this nearby restaurant from online reviews, especially since my wife really likes XLB (soup dumplings). There were four of us, dining inside on a Friday evening, and were able to get seated right away using a reservation made that same day. The inside ambience is really modern...the word trendy popped into our heads as we sat down and admired the surroundings.Since it was our first time, we ordered in two rounds once we realized the portion sizes, with the second round of dishes that we liked. My daughter ordered for us; my brother and I just enjoyed it without choosing. It was enough food for the 4 of us, with no leftovers.Spicy Szechuan Xiao Long Bao ($6.50) - 4 pieces - I enjoyed it mostly for a unique taste in a soup dumpling.Mango Bao ($7.00) - 3 pieces - It's a beautiful looking bao, almost too pretty to eat. The mango filling was very sweet. It didn't really work for us.Golden Sheng Jian Bao ($9.50) - 6 pieces - most of the table didn't care for this. I found it very doughy, but really liked the fried bottom.2 Shanghai Xiao Long Bao ($6.50 each) - 4 pieces - these are the classic ones that we like, but on a smaller size. The broth inside had good flavor, but the top was doughy because it was too thick.Orange Chicken xiao Long Bao ($6.50) - 4 pieces - this was interesting. coming in a bright orange wrapper. It definitely tasted like Orange chicken.2 Har Gao ($6.25 each) - 4 pieces - most people at the table liked this the best of the various dim sum. The shrimp inside was sweet, and of good quality. It wasn't so tightly packed as har gao could be, but it also meant that it wasn't very filling.Stir Fried Kwetiaw w/Shrimp ($14.50) - flat rice noodles, decent portion size, with a really good brown soy based sauce.2 Shrimp Fried Rice ($11.50) - Light fried rice using chicken as its flavoring. It was really well made, and was a great base for all of us as we began to sample the various dim sum. Some of the dishes came with their own dipping sauce, and one ramekin of vinegar was provided for the table. We asked for shredded ginger for our XLB, but it wasn't available.Service was good, with dishes being delivered soon after being prepared. I really like this family style way of dining, and Phat Phat is a good place to dine-in with family and close friends.

Phat Phat is a hidden gem! From the outside, it looks quite modest, but once you step inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well-decorated it is. The ambience is perfect for a date night, with cozy lighting and stylish decor that creates a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious, though I found it not as spicy as I personally prefer. However, each dish was packed with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the noodle dish, which had an interesting charred taste that was unique and added a great depth of flavor. The orange chicken soup dumpling was more tangy than I was expecting as I was expecting a bit of a kick compared to the orange chicken at Panda Express Overall, Phat Phat is a great go-to spot for a date or a casual night out with friends. Highly recommend checking it out!

I had reviewed this fine establishment before, but once again, for whatever reason, my review is no longer listed (even though it was not a negative or bad review). Phat Phat is a good pan Asian restaurant that serves Chinese and Indonesian dishes. They are known for their Baos and Indonesian dishes such as Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng. In my previous visits, I had their Sheng Jian Bao, Chocolate Bao, Hong Kong Mee Noodles w/ seafood in XO sauce, and Nasi Goreng. On my current visit, we ordered Crispy Fish in Egg Floss, Wok Fired Hong Kong Mee Noodles with Chicken and Vegetables, Spicy Szechuan Xiao Long Bao with pork, shrimp and Szechuan black peppercorn; Golden Sheng Jian Bao with chicken and shrimp, shrimp fried rice, Lychee margarita, and Strawberry Coconut bubble tea. The food arrived in a short time. It looked good and smelled delicious. I enjoyed trying all the dishes we ordered. The flavors of each dish were exquisite. My favorite items were the Spicy Szechuan bao and the crispy fish dish. The Lychee margarita was very good and refreshing. I asked for hot chili oil, which added a nice flavor profile to some of the dishes I had. The food was fresh and cooked well. The service was good and had been in the past well. Their menu has a good variety, and the pricing is reasonable given inflation and all. They also have some drink specials posted by their bar area, which are worth checking out. The decor of the restaurant is nice and inviting. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and well-lit. I definitely recommend checking out Phat Phat when you are in the mood for Asian cuisine.

Incredibly amazing food. The wait was long and a bit disorganized but the food made up for it. I didn't get a picture of the chicken wings but they were by far the favorite of the night. Definitely save room for the chocolate buns for dessert! It was a crowded Friday night but we were still able to talk comfortably. The space is beautiful and well decorated.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Honestly it's been hard to find really good soup dumplings after I had amazing ones in Philly. This place lived up to that.We tried ALL of their soup dumplings. My favorite was the beef stew one (the blue one) and the Szechuan (pink ones). So SO flavorful. We also had the pork ones which is pretty basic. And then there's interesting flavor ones like lemon chicken and orange chicken. My husband and brother liked these though. We also got the golden Sheng Jain Bao which was absolutely delicious. Would definitely get that again. The two things I would never get again is the phat phat chicken and their alcoholic drinks. The chicken felt so thick and dense and didn't taste good. And the alcoholic drinks didn't taste like it had any alcohol. Service was a little iffy and first. When we got seated for 20 mins no one came up to us or tried to give us water. But after that they kept checking in which was great. The indoor decoration was so cute, made it very welcoming. Definitely coming back to try some of the other entrees and get my favorite two soup dumplings!!

My husband and I went to Phat Phat for dinner a few weeks back for the first time and LOVED it!! The garlic cucumbers are simple, yet sooooo delicious! The soup dumplings are also absolutely delicious! The bao's are incredible too! The service was really friendly and helpful since it was our first time there. The server helped us navigate the menu which was appreciated. The restaurant is really open and pretty as well! We liked the decor and ambiance! We will absolutely be back to Phat Phat for dinner soon!

I came for dinner the other night with my wife, and we were very happy. We tried 6 different types of dim sum, and all were great, but the stand outs for me were the Szechwan Bao, and the Beef Stew soup dumplings. Sorry about the pictures. We tried so many, I forgot which was which. Our server was great, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant had a fun casual vibe. I will definitely be back.

I really wanted to like this restaurant, saw a lot of rave reviews and the pictures of the food looked amazing. Aesthetically, the dining area was stunning and I thought their little dumpling logo was so cute. All the dumplings we ordered were a miss. The XLb wrapper was pretty thick on the top and flavor of the more unique XLbs like the spicy Szechuan & beef stew were not good. The spicy one was not that spicy and the beef stew seemed to be a bit gamey. The shen Jian bao was okay, the bottoms were not as crispy as I would have liked. The mushroom truffle bao did not have the same look as it did online so that was interesting. The green beans with minced pork somehow saved the day, those were full of flavor and smoky. Although all XLb we ordered was below average for us, we thought the service was really good!

We recently hosted a corporate event, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. We encountered multiple issues that led us to leave early, deeply disappointed. The most concerning discovery was the evident lack of cleanliness and hygiene. There were pests in the ice, and the tea was served from a pot with a spout that had a build-up of residue, making it clear that no matter how fresh the batch, the tea would be contaminated. When we brought this to the attention of a staff member, whose name was possibly Nellie or Nelly, she responded in a very unprofessional manner, stating that she was tired and implying that our event was more of a burden than a priority. Her attitude was rude and dismissive, leaving us feeling unwelcome.Adding to our concerns, we later discovered a YouTube video featuring what appeared to be a staged interview with a staff member, along with footage of the team working in what seemed like poor conditions. The employees looked exhausted and overworked, which raises serious concerns about the company's management. To make matters worse, a man who introduced himself as the owner, possibly named Denni or Denny, gave the worst representation of the establishment. He is the same individual featured in the video, promoting a fusion of Chinese and Korean street food, which he claimed to be authentic but seemed more like an attempt to cater to Western tastes. His approach was off-putting and unprofessional. We truly hope that this review reaches the right people who can implement the necessary changes. Hosting an event here was a regrettable decision, and we are now in the process of disputing the charges with our bank. We urge others to reconsider before booking an event at this venue to avoid the same disappointment and frustration.Never again PHAT PHAT!
