I randomly found this business by searching for keto friendly/low sugar cakes for my dad's birthday. We don't have any dietary restrictions per se, but my dad has some markers for pre diabetes and so is watching his sugar intake. That context is important because this review is coming from people who love food and don't typically restrict any ingredients. And the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting we ordered did NOT disappoint us!! No, it does not taste like a typical wheat flour cake (I think Rose, the owner, uses almond flour), but it totally stands on its own! It's a bit less sweet than a traditional cake, but still rich and the frosting was so "fudgey" and decadent. I felt guilty because I kept going back for seconds and thirds despite this being a special treat for my dad lol (he loved it too!). Probably the biggest compliment is how much my 5 year old loved it and kids that age don't lie. Cake aside, Rose was so lovely to work with. She was super responsive and accommodating. I contacted her via text on a Tuesday evening and I needed the cake for that Friday afternoon which she was able to do for a small rush fee (totally worth it!). Bottom line, I will absolutely order from Petite Paleo again!

I ordered a chocolate grain free cake with vanilla frosting for my 30th birthday celebration and it was absolutely delicious! I couldn't even tell it was a grain free cake! It was presented nicely, clearly labeled with ingredients, and it was super easy to get my questions answered and my order set up with Rose! Coordinating the pick up and getting directions was simple as well. I would highly recommend this business and absolute deliciousness. I will definitely be ordering from Rose again

Disclaimer: I am not Paleo, am not on any special diets, and I have no dietary restrictions. I recently met the sweet owner of PPB at a Yelp event and firmly decided on supporting their small business for an upcoming birthday. I asked Rose what the most popular cakes are, and decided on one of the most popular, the Luscious Lemon.The cakes come in several sizes feeding 2-4, 6-8, etc. I really wanted something for 4-6 people but after speaking with Rose, it seemed the 6-8 person option was what I was looking for. Rose described the cake for 2-4 as being smaller than a Costco muffin and slight larger than a cupcake. Hence why I decided on the 6-8.Pickup was a breeze. I waited in the pickup lot for just a couple minutes before Rose happily delivered my cake. The presentation was nice. I really liked the packaging as it showed all the ingredients for the cake and the frosting. There was even a QR code that would link you to tips on serving/storing the cake. Nice touch. As instructed, I left the cake out of the fridge for about 2 hours and it was time to dig in.The cake reminded us of a very lightly sweetened cornbread. The frosting was "buttery", but in a unique way. As the frosting hit my lips it instantly coated them like butter. The cake smelled "lemony" when cutting into it, however I didn't get that same lemon flavor when eating it. And even though I'm not a fan of super sweet frosting, I desperately wanted more sugar in this frosting. I envisioned a PPB Paleo cake as one made with whole and possibly organic ingredients, having less sugar, or honey, and one that uses almond or coconut flour instead of unbleached white flour. While that may be mostly correct, I think I SEVERELY underestimated the whole "less sugar" part. That was my bad.Here's a rule of thumb that might help. Paleo and organic ingredients are simply more expensive than your typical cake ingredients. Expect your Paleo cake to be several times smaller to reflect that. The cake for 6-8, $50, was smaller than I anticipated.Working with Rose's PPB was super easy and extremely professional. I really loved the packaging and presentation of the cake.

These products are so yummy, and Rose is a delight. We have ordered the Vanilla Mini Cake several times, and it's a favorite in our house. Thanks Rose!

"Muffins are for people that don't have the guts to order cake for breakfast" - some pastry chef character on a short lived tv series about the cooks in a restaurant. I got the luscious lemon & a German chocolate. Both were flavorful, moist, and filling! Because they're healthier than the average cake, I might've had cake for breakfast, too, and it got me through to lunch without hunger pangs. Very pleased with the level of friendly communication & accommodations for various needs around food. When going to a gathering of about a dozen people and am tasked with bringing dessert, Rose can make anything delicious while also observing any variety of restrictions. It's helpful & thoughtful- when you never know if someone will be vegan or keto or diabetic or gluten free/celiac - to just bring a yummy cake that 99% of the population can eat without getting an allergic reaction or have GI issues later! The hosts and the guests appreciate being able to have attractive & delicious offerings that a substantial majority of any group can enjoy. Order in advance for more options. I also appreciated that Rose is committed to flavors being fresh and real. Some of her flavors are seasonal (strawberry, stone fruits, etc) and she simply won't venture to make certain icings or cakes if the season hasn't produced the fruits to ripeness yet. Cake for breakfast!

I ordered a chocolate cake for my birthday and it was amazing! My friends couldn't even tell it was a gluten free and dairy free cake. It's so rich so a little goes a long way! I can't wait to order again :)

Every major holiday or occasion includes a dessert from Petite Paleo Bakery! From my gender reveal cupcakes to my husbands birthday to Christmastime, we've had some form of cake from Rose. Each bite has been absolutely divine. Rose is also excellent at listening to her customers, is very patient and very accommodating to whatever dietary restriction or requirement you may have. I didn't want the typical pink/blue colors indicating gender for my cupcakes, and she worked with me to come up with different colors and flavors for the sex of my baby (it's a boy!)I highly recommend Rose for any dessert needs, not just if you're trying to be healthy, but for any time! But also especially if you're following the paleo or keto diets.

What a wonderful discovery! I ordered two cakes and six cupcakes for our little New Year's celebration. Our guests ignored most of our other food selections and devoured the baked goods! I only got to have one small piece of "my" cake. Everyone commented on how delicious the cakes were.It feels good to support this small business and to know the ingredients are carefully selected and of the best quality!Thank you!
