Great place for wine and staples, not so much for sandwiches. My coworkers all talked up the deli here, but the sandwich I got was something I can easily make at home for a third of the cost. But, hey, they're in this to make money, and I can't fault them for that. The wine selection is primo, and that's obviously their main focus, as it should be, hence the name of the shop. I found some great red wines for cheap on my lunch break one day recently, and got some exercise walking back up the hill to my car, so total win. And, like I mentioned earlier, you can get your basic staples here. That's handy. There's also Eastlake Market up the road next to the Subway, but that place is just your basic shitty 7-Eleven, so stick with Pete's if you need mayo or toilet paper in addition to your wine, and then walk down to the lake with your wine [and sandwich] and picnic yo'self silly.

Moved to Eastlake last year and was disappointed that I seemed to be in a bit if a food dessert. But then I discovered Pete's and found myself needing something just for an excuse to walk by. Perfect little neighborhood store. Sometimes certain staples are hit or miss, could've cost them a star, but they more than make up for it by having that other thing I didn't know I wanted. Haven't tried the sandwich bar yet but there's always something smelling great. Their selection of takeaway meals is solid too.And they're great people. Staff is super friendly, helpful, and make great conversation. Aside from needing to do the occasional big shop at a supermarket for certain things, Pete's is my go-to.

I don't think there are enough words for me to express my gratitude and delight for this food and wine shop. I live in NY and wanted to send my niece who had just moved to Seattle a birthday basket. I called all of the online gift basket companies and besides the fact that they couldn't personalize a quality basket for me, they also had massive delivery delays due to the wildfires (understandably so). So I decided to call a wine shop in her area by zip code and this shop came up on google as the top choice. I called and spoke to the owner John and asked him if he could deliver a couple of bottles of wine for me as a birthday gift. Since I noticed that they also had food I asked if he could add a few treats as well. He not only was pleased to do this for me but said he would connect me to Steve his wine guy and Will the deli guy who both WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to hand pick and personalize this basket for me. Steve asked me her taste in wines and personally picked out a nice Cabernet and Malbec for her. Will then spoke to Steve to choose a variety of cheeses and dried sausages that would pair well with the wines and added crackers, breadsticks and chocolates. They then had me email them a note that I would like enclosed in the basket. John personally delivered the basket and my niece said he was so friendly and happy to bring her the basket and wish her a happy birthday. These were just the nicest people and really cared. My niece can't wait to visit the shop and bring friends. All I can say is that I have never received such friendly, personal, and quality service and have the product also be top notch! Being so far away, they could've easily sent mediocre products like those basket companies do for an outrageous price but instead everything was delectable, high quality and within my price range. I've learned my lesson. No prefab baskets from big online companies anymore! Shop local businesses!! It's a win win!!

What an amazing find. I was thirsty and just planned on getting a bottle of water. When I entered there was a plethora of wine bottles. The also have a very nice selection of Beer. The people are super cool and there is plenty of parking. If you are up to a short walk have a stroll checking out all the house boats just dont bother residents. I will be back soon.

Pete's packs a surprisingly large selection of wine and a solid selection of food and drinks into this small space in Eastlake. There aren't really other full blown grocery options in the neighborhood so it's super convenient that Pete's is well stocked and has fairly extensive store hours. I've come here to grab produce I've forgotten to buy for a recipe, a spice I need, and of course to buy more than a few bottles of wine. Take your time wandering the wine aisles - the staff does a good job adding descriptions and details to certain bottles they recommend - typically anything with a description from the staff that I've bought has been above average. Be sure to check out the discounted wines they have on the ends of the aisles and on the ground - we've found some great deals! Bonus points for having so much variety and for taking credit card.

Nice shop with a huge wine selection and charcuterie board items. We walked to it since it is in the neighborhood. *Note* Don't bring your pets, they're not a pet welcoming establishment, not even if they're small enough to be in a carrier.

Came here a couple of days ago with a female friend and while we were checking out, a male employee (maybe in his 60s or 70s) decided it would be appropriate to grab her arm and creepily ask what one of her tattoos meant. He then proceeded to look at her ID for an unusual amount of time, reading back some of the information on her ID. None of which had anything to do with her date of birth. It is never okay to grab people, especially woman. Very gross and unprofessional behavior by said staff person. As soon as we got back to the car she started crying. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I will never shop here again.

Good enough selection, though I wouldn't get any of their prepared food, and the quality of stuff tends to be passable if quite pricey (and often surprisingly dirty) . And the manager(?) is a bit of a jerk. The store claims to close at 930, and I recently showed up at 926 to grab a single item, only to find the store locked. Pretty reasonable - I've closed early when working retail, it happens - except there were customers inside still, and when I mimed that I just wanted 1 thing this dude did the most egregiously rude pantomime of my actions back to me, screwed up his face, made a hand gesture, and broke eye contact - not to help other customers, who sat and waited, but to walk back and turn off all the lights.Okay, man, I get it, you're closed, just say no.Maybe it was a bad day?
