Pete's Fish And Chips

Had the cheesesteak w tots and fish & chips. Really good would recommend. Staff was very friendly.

Terrible service -pulled into drive thru.Went to order a fish sandwich with tartar sauce. A plain fish sandwich is $3.20 employee said you want tartar that will be $4.37. Wait I've ordered the same thing numerous times and there's no extra charge for tartar sauce. Employee says it's $4.37 do you want it or not ! I know finding good help is a challenge but I'm not going to be lied to and treated rudely.

Absolutely disgusting. The fact that they call this fish and chips is appalling. Everything was clearly pulled straight from the freezer into the fryer. Zero stars.

I dk how you can be a native to Phx and NOT love Pete's. It's a classic. This location is by far my favorite. Always excellent customer service and always soooo fresh. My food is always steaming. I always get a 10piece shrimp & 4 piece chicken basket. Their shrimp is so good. Deep fried to perfection & I love the salt sprinkled on top. The chicken strips have pepper in the batter which just add a nice flavor. The SAUCE?! I dk what Pete's special sauce is, but when you dip your food amazing things happen lol.

I will start with the good. Pete's sauce is good. Actually I like it.The birds are very friendly, and want to spend time with you. Don't turn your head.Good part done.Cash Only, I assume so you don't do a charge back for poor quality food?Odd experience, the cashier kept licking her hand and arm while taking my order.The 2 oz sauce isn't enough, though, and additional cup is only 10 cents extra.The fries, are cooked in old grease like others have mentioned. It was this and only this that gave it any flavor.The fish...Well, let me say that I have never been to prison, but if I ever go to prison, these square "fish" pieces are exactly what I expect to get served. I do have faith that the prison would at lease use clean grease though. At first sight, I thought fish patties were hash browns.The take away, stop here, buy a side of the Pete Sauce, and microwave some fish at home. DONE.

My family grew up going to Pete's. We used to go to the original location in Tempe on Mill Ave. This year Pete's Fish & Chips is celebrating 75 years here in the Valley. Pete Grant moved to the Valley and opened his first stand in 1947 because his doctor said he needed to live in a hot dry climate for his medical condition. Back then, fish and chips were only 35 cents. Food has always been affordable and still is today. Pete used to say that Pete's Fish & Chips is the Biltmore for the common man.It's been awhile since I have stopped at Pete's. There are still quite a few locations here in the Valley. As a kid, I would always get a monster burger or a hot dog. If you have never been, they have a special "secret sauce" to dip your fries in. I think it is cool that Pete's Fish & Chips sticks to the old ways of doing things and only accepts cash. There is an ATM a each site if you aren't prepared. For the negative reviewers, Pete's Fish & Chips isn't gourmet food. It's meant to be cheap greasy fried food. My monster and fries cost $5 and was an enjoyable little throwback to my childhood.

Stoped by on my lunch picked up food for my husband and I monster burger is always amazing!! You can never go wrong with the fish & shrimp too, with Pete's sauce and ranch

Good value, fish n chips was ok, not what I expected but good just the same. Their Pete's sauce is really good

When we went through the drive thru and waited for the remaining bag I took a bite of the fries. They were cold. Barely warm to the touch. We told the gal in the drive thru and you would have thought we were completely annoying her. She wasn't going to do anything then we handed her the bag and she said. It feels a bit warm. Seriously? Who wants warm French fries. The service is rude and definitely not customer oriented. The fish was just ok. The texture definitely not the freshest. With options that are better out there we won't be going back. Service should be with a smile. Not an attitude.

I understand change but come on not the fries!!!! They were so so good now they are dry, hard, and not even the sauce will save them..... please bring back the juicy Dipable fries!!!!
