Petes Fish & Chips

I find myself craving food from here every so often. Similarly to fast food like KFC or something. Just every blue moon I need to satisfy my craving for unhealthy, oily, greasy, food for the soul and I'm good for months xD. Same applies for Pete's. I mean, it is exactly what it is. You come here for a reason and that is greasy fried food. I am from the east coast and used to hit up long john silver's. Not many of them in AZ but Pete's satisfy that exact craving. Fish is decent, overall if I compare them to a fancier restaurant's fried fish, is a solid 6.5. Which for the price, speed, casual takeout, no need to rsvp, deal with wait staff, etc etc etc, is tough to beat. Also, these workers work hard, so please have patience, be polite, be friendly, get your food, and get your butt home.

Our family goto for easy affordable fish & and chips throughout the phoenix area. The monster burger is the bomb. Gotta have the fries too

Trash! How are you going to sell French fries and you don't even offer ketchup! So much batter on the fried shrimp! Never again!

solid meal--had chicken sandwich which was tasty-skinny fries too and 32 oz --hard to beat the price for $10? great customer service too. 9 locations on valley and only in AZ!

The fish at Pete's Fish & Chips is excellent. The crispy batter perfectly complements the tender fish inside. The portion size is generous, making it a satisfying meal. The chips (fries) are also well-prepared, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They strike a good balance between saltiness and flavor. If you're a fan of classic fish and chips, Pete's won't disappoint.

This place is pretty good. The customer service is excellent. The food is cheap but still good. Sometimes the drive thru can get backed up during the lunch rush. Take cards already! Why are you still cash only?

I've driven past this place for years and finally decided to stop and try it. The food was OK. Not great. The staff was friendly and my order came out quickly. The best part about Pete's is that it's a local business! I read some of the negative reviews, about the quality of the food, and I can somewhat agree. But since there are eight locations in the area, they must be doing something right. If you're in a hurry, you might want to give them a try?

They save the food they don't sell at night and serve it when they first open, which is against food regulation!!! So if you want Fish and Shrimp recooked come to this place but be careful the GM is irresponsible and does not care about health code. How do I know this? I worked their for two years and it's just awful. The manager NEVER told the workers to wash hands when they first came in. So if you like your food made with messy hands and no gloves go for it.

The staff was super great! I usually go to the location on Mesa Dr in Mesa so there's a couple differences and required asking questions but the staff was awesome and knew what I was talking about lol Same delicious fish, sauce and onion rings though so that was excellent!!! I do really love the awesome sauce and rice krispy treat from Mesa though sooo I feel like all the locations should have those lol

If the boy does not want to work, don't give him any shifts. If he wants to work he needs to work on his manners and the way he talks to costumers. I got to the speaker/ window and was not greeted. I asked for a few sides and he kept talking about "i cannot make this a combo" please don't bring this energy into work, costumers do care about their food and the respect offered by the restaurant.
