Pete's Fish & Chips

We don't eat this too often because it is so greasy but we do indulge on our lunch breaks. Lunch times are busy so keep that in mind.

The fries were not fresh. They tasted as if they were reheated in the microwave. The fish is just frozen fillets you can get the grocery store. There were pigeons flying near your food, so you will have to fight them to eat. It's outdoor dining. Very hot outside. The service was okay. Not friendly staff.

Food - over the years the size of the shrimp has decreased and the fries are about the same. It's a hit or miss on the crispness. Seems like the shrimp has more batter than usual. Service - about the same. No change after all these years. Slow. Ambiance - sit outside with the pigeons. The seating area doesn't get much attention to cleanliness. If you do drive thru be prepared to wait and potentially on the street. The food used to be worth the wait and the cost but not for us anymore.

The drive thru always has a line. Finally decided to stop by. Now I understand why locals love Pete's. The food is priced very well. It's not expensive at all. The quality of the food is nothing special. You're basic deep fried everything. Fired fish sticks, fried shrimp, fried fish and French fríes. I was curious about the crablets? They were ok. The sauce is a spicy ketchup horse radish type. I think the French fries were the best. We took the food to go and didn't want to take pictures. The bottom line is the prices are cheap, the fried food will fill up your tummy and the locals who grew up with it will always stay loyal. This is not for us and we won't be back. But I understand why locals love it. Try it see what you think. CASH ONLY ATM INSIDE

Oh my word. After seeing long lines of cars waiting and the long lines at the walk-up, we were expecting just Bomb Fish and chips!Oh, oh to our dismay! I honestly have to say that Gordon's Fish stix in the air fryer beat Pete'sI am sorry Pete's fans, this fam surely doesn't get it!!!

Hubby came across this restaurant online. I guess the menu looked appealing. I suggested we go ahead and try it so we drove from Surprise to Glendale. He got the 4 piece fish & chips. I got the 8 piece chicken nuggets & chips and a piece of fish to try. Hmm. Nothing to write home about. Food should be appealing to the eyes. It wasn't. I don't know that I'll be back. I put ketchup on the fries and ate most of them. I got through the fish and nuggets.I was tossed between 2/3 stars. I couldn't justify 3.

I grew up eating Pete's. Quick fast food with that delicious sauce. They only take cash.

Worse service and the fish, chips, and scallops were disgusting. Then we see a sign cash only, no refunds. Please people avoid this establishment. I've never had such crappy nasty, old, frozen food in my life. I've wanted to try it and I'm sad I did. 30.00 in the trash. The help doesnt talk to you, have any kind of customer service. The food industry has really taken a beating. Food went into there trash can.

DISGUSTING! Never ever had worse Fish n Chips in my 60plus years of life. I tried two differnt times and each time was DISGUSTING. Greesy. Salty. over cooked. Not fish and chips, just crap.

Today I ate at the Pete's Fish and Chips in Glendale.It was very affordable but that's where the positive review ends.The fish looked like it was grabbed from the frozen food section of a local store, the battered shrimp could have broken a tooth it was so hard and the fries and onion rings - well I still have the greasy taste in my mouth.Very affordable but still not worth it!
