I love coming to the perennial tea room! The staff is extremely kind and willing to help with tea selection. They also have some teas brewed for on the go beverages. The space has a ton of tea equipment as will and the staff is very willing to talk you through their favorites. If you're in Pike Place and you're a tea lover, I highly recommend you check it out.

First, I have to give a huge shout out to Michaela! She is so incredibly informative, patient and kind. I guess I looked up because I was the only one in the shop so I was able to get her full attention. The variety that they have the offer is just amazing. She wonderfully explained all of the different aspects of each of the teas that I purchased.I brought them back to the East Coast and everything forward to enjoying them over the next few weeks. After you stop here go to Le Panier and make a perfect pairing of pastry and tea.

This is the most relaxing, zen, lovely tea shop. You walk in an ladies were knitting. I'm a huge tea lover and the inventory and options of lose leaf tea were just exceptional. They have 3-4 teas on tap and rotate options daily. The staff is so knowledgeable of the offerings. They also serve clean, high quality, useable team pots, mugs, strainers etc. I bought a tea mug with an infuzer built in. We stopped in here 2 times. The first time we tried the black sticky rice tea on tap. This was unlike anything I've tried and o regret not getting some lose leave tea of this kind. It smelled like sticky rice and had a sticky rice after taste. The next day I got a green tea, good but standard. My partner got the Seattle chai and really enjoyed it. They also have a nice seating area in front of the shop to sit down and enjoy a'cuppa. Highly recommend for tea lovers!

++++++ T E A S ++++++They sell two different hot teas each day and they sell an immense variety of tea leaves from $3 an ounce to $200 an ounce, they have it all! They also have decaffeinated options too![+] RASPBERRY BLACK TEA - $4 for 16 ozThis was delicious and very high quality tea that they steep to order! ++++++ S E R V I C E ++++++Alia who was on staff that day was super friendly! She really knows her teas! She answered all our questions and was very helpful! We also nerded out together about Becky Chambers novels! They were selling her book "A Psalm for the Wild Built" which is about a tea monk and a robot hahah. She was also really apologetic when she told us they didn't have any more lids for cups, which was sweet. ++++++ A M B I A N C E ++++++This is a darling tea shop across the way from Post Alley and the Pink Door! I loved the aesthetic! Colorful tea pots and glass jars full of tea! There are also a ton of tea books and tea equipment! Adorable and very visually appealing!++++++ O V E R A L L ++++++This place is a little pricey but they know their stuff and also in a PRIMO location. Knowledge like that is worth a lot! Alia says that they hope to do tastings soon!!Next time I want to get their Earl Grey EXTRA tea leaves! It has extra bergamot oil! I definitely will be coming back to Perennial Tea when I'm in Seattle, hopefully by then they will have tea tastings again!

This was a really sweet little treat to the end of my vacation in Seattle. I was looking for a tea shop and I knew I had seen one on Yelp that was near the pikes market place but I couldn't find it that day so this really nice man at the fruit stand said," hey I think it's right down that way".I finally found this cute little tea shop, and was so happy. Inside there were many teas in jars and lots of adorable little tea pots to brew them in. I decided to buy two bags I bought one bag of earl gray with extra Bergamont, which the lady said was delicious, and the other one was another Earl Grey, that had Bergamont and rosemary and something else in it, but it sounded delightful. I decided to take a business card as well and when I get home and I am low on the tea I'm going to continue to order from them because it's great to find a good shop like this that has really good tea. I have high hopes for this and I'm pretty sure I'm right. I also am going to buy a bag for my best friend since we both love to exchange different delicious teas and she is very good at buying the expensive ones and I am very good at buying the cheap ones so now I think it's time for me to change and up my taste. Let you know later if this was great or not but I have a feeling it'll be wonderful.

There are lots of loose leaf tea options here! Located in post alley, it's a quaint little tea store.GLOWS:-Overall branding is very nice-Staff was very nice and explained everything well.-They have a measuring system for purchasing and give great directions on how to steep teas. GROWS:-There were not tea samples, so there was no incentive to try new flavors without feeling like you had to take a risk. I actually don't like the tea very much I ended up getting.

I should've expected this to be a tourist trap. As someone who has ventured into many tea shops throughout Washington, this one was underwhelming. If you appreciate tea it's a nice place to visit at least once, especially if you're in Pike Place Market, but it's not special. They do have a large selection of tea but I wasn't impressed by it. The majority of the menu is basic blends you can find anywhere else, with the exception of some expensive Chinese teas and a few unique blends.I've also never seen a tea shop that exists strictly for flavor, because that's not what tea is about. You don't have to claim that the tea has health benefits, but you can still explain what it is often used for. It's not even clear what the "flavors" are because no one explains it to you and the menu is not labeled with things like "sweet, earthy, minty, etc...". It simply lists ingredients. To me that's just lazy. The prices are reasonable, with a 2oz minimum purchase. I also didn't feel the full friendly hospitality as I think a tea shop should have. It is a buy-and-go kind of shop.

This place was such a refreshing place for my last vacation day. The service was top-notch; the girl who helped me out, she was great. She pointed me in the right direction for all of my suggestions and criteria. Very patient and knew which ones to look for. The aromas and smells when the teas were presented were very encouraging when deciding which ones to get. Very glad to have visited this shop and will definitely stop by again when I'm back in town. Also they had some brewed teas for sale and the hisbiscus tea I got was very delicious and refreshing for a hot day. Overall, would recommend this shop to anyone who can appreciate a good cup of tea!
