Pepa's Lumpia - Auburn

Considering this restaurant is located in the Outlet Mall (mall food), their homemade dishes are pretty good and authentic. I suggest getting the 2 entree meal. Your choice as to which entree you'd like to try. Can't go wrong with chicken adobo and a hearty soup with rice, or pork lumpia and pancit with rice. And they will even include the appropriate accompaniment of sauces that goes with your meal - nice!I appreciate that they label each dish being served as well as on their wall menu. This is helpful to those that aren't familiar with ethnic foods. In addition, the staff are helpful and nice about answering any questions. I also appreciate the fact that the food area is always clean - thank you!I love all their food with the exception of the Sisig (pork dish with chili pepper). This dish is suppose to be a savory dish with chili spices, but they serve it sweet (not pleasing to the palate at all!). For those of you familiar with this dish, you know what I mean about savory vs. sweet. Please, please, speak to your chef about correcting this dish. I understand that every province has their own way of cooking, but this dish is not right, regardless of which province. I am Filipina and know the differences in how our dishes are to be prepared and the variation differences.

I've enjoyed this place for a couple of years and we have always ate the lumpia on dire, but we were in the area and ordered some to take home for dinner and found a long hair hanging out of one of the lumpia's and fried into the inside.

I ordered several trays for a birthday party. Received so many compliments on the food--we ordered Pancit, sisig, lumpia, chop suey and chicken Afritada. Who knew that such good, home-cooked Filipino food could be found at the outlet collection?

Flavorful, delicious dishes in their turo-turo. Every dish tastes unique, varied, and different (unlike some hot food bars where "all dishes taste the same"). E.g. having two soup options to choose from really elevate the meal. Portion sizes are generous; can feed two people with normal appetite. Friendly staff. Will always be eating here anytime I drive past Auburn at lunch time!

I've been by here and looked before, but for whatever reason I never did order anything. Well, I finally changed that today. I ordered the Fresh Lumpia Vegetable...she said there was a lot of sauce and see was right! A little too much for me, but it tastes good. Maybe next time I'm in the mall I'll order something else.

While I thought my food was okay, it was a little pricey in comparison to the other places nearby. The paper sign listing with the price of each Combo including tax was helpful and located where you order the food. However, it would be helpful to also move the sign that states your place will charge a 4% FEE if a customer decides to use their debit/credit card. This sign is located next to the cash register behind the plexiglass. I was fortunate that I had cash on hand, and they deducted the 4% fee from my total.

Was lucky enough to get here around 11am when the food was fresh.Got the small #1 combo that came with pancit and 3 pork lumpia.Man, everything was delicious! I love the pieces of sausage they had in thepancit. It was savory, a little peppery and addicting ( I will get a bigger portion next time).The lumpia was still hot, fresh and wonderfully crispy. So good when you dip it in the sweet chilli sauce!Will definitely stop by again around 11am to partake in some yummy food that reminds me of my childhood :)

Went with my coworker for lunch as we were shopping for some work clothes around the mall. I had high hopes but it ended with disappointment.The menu is based off of 3 combos. Combo #1 gives you one entree, combo #2 gives you two entrees (if you order pancit, this considers as two entrees), and combo #3 gives you three entrees. I ordered the Kare Kare while my coworker ordered the Dinuguan. This was combo #1 for $9. The Kare Kare's beef was too dry while the Dinuguan was too sweet and salty.Overall, i cannot come back here. Love seeing filipino restaurants around the area, but was disappointed in the outcome.

My expectations were not high given they are located in a food court. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is legit. I ordered the pansit and the chicken adobo. Both were fresh and tasty. The portions were generous and the meal was reasonably priced. The server/cashier was very nice. I look forward to returning to try other yummy looking offerings Thank you to the chef and the server.
