Great ice cream! I had a double scoop of coconut cream and huckleberry in a waffle cone. Service was good as well. Unfortunately the restrooms outback are just portables.. yuck! But at least they have them. There aren't really other grocery stores around so if you need a quick snack or essential item you can find it here.

Awesome Ice Cream Cone! Came across the Peninsula Food store on way back from Olympic NP, glad we stopped. Saw a guy leaving the store with mighty large ice cream cone and said to my wife "guess I know what we are having for lunch". I had a large cup of chocolate peanut butter cup and root beer float. It was stuffed so high I had to eat it like an ice cream cone at first, and the ice cream was delicious. My wife had a waffle cone and had to ask the server to hold off on putting in the last scoop, it was already quite large. When driving south on 101, be sure to stop

This is a pretty standard Kwick-E-Mart; wouldn't rate any more than 3 stars except that its the only market in town.Peninsula Foods has several varieties of hot coffee and some pre-made sandwiches and hot food, and a little bit of fresh produce in addition to all the packaged food and sundries you'd expect. They're only open until 21:00, though, so keep that in mind-- its a long way to the next closest store!

If you're ever driving through Quilcene on Highway 101, be sure to stop at the Peninsula Store for the best prepared store food ever!! If you aren't into deep-fried food, they may not have what you're looking for, but if you are... fried chicken, deep fried burritos (very hard to find - hehe), chicken crispito's... Fantastic. I make my father pick a variety of their deep fried classics nearly every day while I'm home. I know, I know...

4 stars for utility alone. well and the fact that it's the only store in town, plus it has a giant colorful (obnoxious, hideous, could anyone think this is pretty?) mural painted on the side.the menacing zombie folk congregating outside could probably connect you with anything under the sun you are looking for (except maybe computer access): drugs, a carburator, marijuana, a chainsaw, absinthe, you get the picture.the inside is really it's shining accomplishment; ice cream cones, hot dogs, espresso, movie rentals, milk, beer and wine (liquor store next door, also with movies), even accommodations to sit down and enjoy your purchase.owned by a pleasant middle eastern family who always somehow remembers me when I go home. charming.

What a great little store. They had everything we needed for an overnight at an Air B&B. If you are a pizza fan, so the take and bakes! All the food and drink was reasonably priced and the counter staff was friendly and helpful.

Only ever get ice cream from here but it's delicious. Disappointed there is no sampling and you have to pay before it gets scooped but the ice cream has a wonderful stretchy texture and is some of the best I've ever had. Surprised because this small corner store has better ice cream than any fancy place I've tried. Wonderful.

Really the heart of commercial Quilcene. They have a little of everything and keep their ego and attitude out of it. New owner Ken is gently updating the store but keeping what made it great. Still the home of the largest ice cream cone on the peninsula. I'm sure some folks miss the video rentals but it is 2021, hard to tell here sometimes. Coffee is hot, hot case is fresh, and even some fresh produce. Glad it's here !

I grew up coming here for ice cream with my family in the summer, and it still remains some of my favorite ice cream in Washington. Always generous with the scoops, and the huckleberry flavor is delicious. I love the Peninsula!!!
