Came here around 6:20pm on a Wednesday. There were already a healthy number of people eating and the food smelled delicious. A quick Yelp search said 4*. So, we decided to have dinner here! They have a variety of seafood: grilled, fried, raw (poke), sandwich style or with fries. They were friendly and recommended the* ahi sandwich (which comes with toasted bread, a teriyaki Cajun dressing, slaw and a pickle: it was indeed tender, juicy and delicious! I don't usually love fish sandwiches, but this one was delicious and a nice alternative to meat sandwiches * oysters were fresh, clean and sweet! (Though, very unevenly sized: 2 tiny, 2 super plump and 2 medium* coconut shrimp appetizer came with giant shrimp, a nice sweet and sour sauce (though I prefer mayo and they were very accommodating) on a bed of lettuce and cabbage* we also ordered a small container of poke from the fish counterMade for a satisfying meal, all washed down with some Stella. Lovely spot. Lovely people. Lovely weather. Great spot with both indoor and outdoor seating -- outdoor being easy for those with kids and dogs!

It was an OK experience. I probably would not return. Went there to try because the reviews were pretty positive. We got there at the end of the day and they were out of ice and shrimp?Wish I could say more.

I came here for dinner with some friends a few Sundays ago. Coincidentally, most of us were in a mood for sea bass. Three of us got the grilled seabass plate, one got a seabass sandwich, and the other person got a shrimp burrito. We all agreed that our seabass was dry, so we questioned whether the chef had prepared swordfish instead because it tasted and looked like swordfish. The garlic butter was good, so aside from the fish being a bit hard and dry, we enjoyed our food. For me, the salad was fresh and I especially loved the coleslaw. I liked how it was a vinaigrette base and not a mayonnaise base. If not for the coleslaw and salad, I would not have enjoyed my plate. The coleslaw was 5 solid stars! Our food was prepared quickly. We ordered at the counter and it was delivered to our table outdoors. After we finished, we cleared our table and put the trash and dirty dishes in their respective bins. Quick hassle-free dining. Fresh and healthy seafood. I only questioned whether I got swordfish by mistake.

They will quickly filet a fish right in front of you, showcasing their skill. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The candied salmon is outstanding, and the fish is consistently fresh. If you aren't a fan of the fish smell definitely order online.

It's not often that you go to a place for your second time and it's better than the first time. But tonight we felt so welcomed and the food was sensational. The service if it's possible was even better. My wife had the mahi-mahi plate and I had my fish and chips , which are spectacular. Thank you all.

Stopped by for lunch on our way to Park Hyatt Aviara. Thought it would be the perfect destination because it's off the same exit as the hotel and in a plaza right off the freeway, not to mention the great reviews!!But we were super disappointed. The clam chowder is one of the worst we've ever had - my son loves clam chowder and couldn't eat more than a few bites, and it was just more watery than creamy. The flavors weren't what we were used to either. The poke bowls had some teriyaki sauce on the rice, which is odd. And the portion for the poke wasn't that great. Go to a specialized poke bowl place where you can build your own bowl and get more toppings because their version of a poke bowl was just poke on rice (with teriyaki sauce which threw off the taste) and sliced avocados. The avocado was the best part. The sashimi platter was ok but not the best. Overall not worth it for quality, taste, or price.

Looks like a nice restaurant from the fresh looking display of fish to the outdoorsy patio shared with other restaurants. It was my first time because a former coworker forever friend who was visiting from the Bay Areas suggested it. Price wise was ok and the quantity was big. However I did not like the flavor and consistency of my Cham chowder. All potatoes with no clams and lukewarm. We also shared the calamari appetizer that was fine for 2 and had a nice flavor on the salty side. For the amount of fish the companion salsas should be also more abundant in my opinion.

Went on a date night to Pelly's and tried out their steamed shellfish. They give you an option to choose clams, mussels, or a mix of both. It tasted so fresh! I was fishing for more. My fiancé got the Cajun swordfish plate. He told me I had to try it because it was that good. Pretty tasty! Even Keke, our doggo, got a treat! The kind server gave her smoked salmon, and she loved it.Pelly's is an awesome mom-and-pop store with knockout customer service. Everyone there is so nice and accommodating. There's always a line here, but regardless of the wait, we got our food quickly, and I'm not surprised because the food is just as great as the people who work there. You can tell the people here really care about what they do.

You have found a gem tucked in this mall overshadowed by the supermarket (literally in a small alley between the supermarket and other shops)! Pelly's Fish Market serves up some fresh seafood, sashimi grade fish (sold by the pound), and prepared food like ceviche and poke (sold by the pound), fish and chips, chowder, salads and more. Hankering for seafood? This is the place to go!Sharing space with the supermarket has its perks, especially, the abundance of free parking spots and convenience for other purchases. With a Starbucks just around the corner and a Ralph's just a few steps away, you'll be able to run your errands and grab a bite for lunch or dinner. With indoor and outdoor seating, Pelly's serves a variety of customers. From locals getting a quick bite to business professionals meeting with potential partners, you'll see this place packed during peak times. But no worries, many people actually take their food to go and being in sunny San Diego, you can have your delicious meal almost anywhere with a great view of the ocean. The kitchen, dining areas, and bathrooms are also very clean. Despite the constant churn of people, the staff finds time to upkeep everything for the next set of guests. As for the food, there are so many options! This place really does satisfy any craving you might have. Raw, boiled, fried, seared - seemingly endless possibilities! We ordered their tuna poke, clam chowder, and fish and chips. Tuna poke - sold by the pound, we ended up ordering one pound for four of us to share. It was very filling and flavorful! The fish had great texture and bite to them.Clam chowder - we ordered a large to share and it was definitely a star. With meaty clams and flavorful soup base, it filled us up, warmed up our bellies, and prepared us for a nice nap.Fish and chips - had big crispy yet moist pieces of fish that paired well with the classic tartar sauce. Not too much seasoning or breading so you can taste the fish.Overall, Pelly's is to me a must go if you're in the area. The price is reasonable, food is fresh, staff are exceptionally pleasant, and it's off the beaten path for most San Diego visitors or even locals. Whether you're just coming for a meal or looking to find a fish market to keep your home stocked with seafood, Pelly's is Le Fin!
