This little Thai place is a hidden gem! Literally and metaphorically because it can be hard to find. The GPS will tell you the wrong directions. You have to get on the small road Gibbs Dr, which is next to the main street Aero Drive. This place is takeout only.Anyways on to the food! The food is flavorful and spicy if you want it to be. They ask for your spice level, I got a mild pad see ew and a medium spice pad Thai. The medium was something that I can handle, whereas some places medium I can't. If you really like spicy don't be afraid to get hotter than medium. The portion is generous and the food came out freshly made and piping hot. The price is good value as well and is cheaper than most other Thai places around the area.The service is very nice and friendly. It's a small mom and pop restaurant and the owner is welcoming and kind. I ordered take out in the store and waited in my car. When the food was ready he came out and personally delivered it to me. If you're looking for a quick fix for your Thai cravings, this is the place to go.

This hidden gem in Serra Mesa (next to Montgomery Field) is not to be missed! Service is friendly and food is tasty!What to get: The best crab fried rice in town...hands down! So flavorful and full of large pieces of lump crab...it's like winning the crab fried rice lottery! Their beef pad see ew and chicken pad Thai are winners as well! We're also fans of their Tom kha (coconut lemongrass soup)...we like it with chicken and shrimp.Support this family run business...they really do go above and beyond!

Pear's Thai Cuisine is located in Serra Mesa area of San Diego, CA. One of my friends suggested this place as her favorite Thai place, so here I go to meet up with her in early April 2022.ENTRANCE:- Really hard to find- Entrance on Gibbs Drive- You can see the storefront from Aero Drive - but there is nowhere to drive into the parking lot (how sad!)BACKGROUND:- According to Yelp Business Profile, it says it was established in 2018- Focused on mostly noodles, curries, and fried riceFOOD:- AMAZING!!- I tried the following:(1) Thai Iced Tea(2) Cheesy Crab(3) Chicken Pot Stickers(4) Tom Yum Soup(5) Red Curry (I chose Mock Duck as the "protein")Food was really delicious!!Support Small Businesses!! ENJOY!!

Went here for lunch with some coworkers and had trouble with the GPS. There is a small alley you need to go down to get here that runs parallel to Aero Drive. There is no entrance directly from Aero Drive. I ordered the Num Tok Beef. While it did have plenty of grilled steak it was served cold. Also didn't see that it was supposed to include spinach. Don't know if that's the way it's normally served but it was very very salty. Had to chow down on the rice! We were the only people in here during lunch. I think my coworkers enjoyed their meals. I did not enjoy mine.

Amazing Thai food friendly and fast love this place! The mango curry is my favorite and the coffee too

DELICIOUS FOOD! i ordered the pad sew ew and pad thai and it was juicy and addicting and i could not recommend this place enough. Next, the service was quick and felt like home.this place needs more exposure because many would love it. Always my go to spot for thai/laos food.

Terrible service. The food was ok. Not the restaurant that you would go out of your way to dine in. With the guy's rudeness and arrogant attitude he sealed the deal for me.

Cute little hole in the wall restaurant. Food is always fresh and delicious! I love their appetizer chicken with the different sauces. Oh and d their duck soup!!! Really liked every dish i have tried there actually! I have even catered office events from them and always had good portions and delicious flavor. 10/10 reccomend for lunch or large party event!

I can't believe this place isn't crawling with customers. The food is quick, the portions are large, and most importantly it just tastes really freaking good.

They're so thoughtful! My boyfriend and I came in early for our pickup order full well knowing it's probably not ready given it had only been a couple of minutes after placing it. The man at the front let us know that they had one big order ahead of us but reassured us that it'd be ready right after and was apologizing and we were very understanding and were going to run another errand anyways. After coming back to pick it up, he brought it out to our car and apologized again but reassured him that it was okay and he even gave us some extra egg rolls for the wait! Definitely coming back here and are very pleased with their service and food quality!
