Pear Thai

We had gone to another place but found out no children were allowed because their dining area doesn't have a divider from the bar area so we left and while walking back to the car started to pass this Thai restaurant. There was only 1 other table with people but it was a Tuesday night. We knew we could get a table no problem so Thai it was and so glad we stopped. The owner was sweet and amazing. He told us his wife is the cook. He gave us great service with fantastic Thai food. We ordered 2 Pad Thai, Green Curry, Pumpkin Curry, and Duck. 3 Thai Ice Teas as well. Generous portions and one of the best Thai food we have eaten in a while. The only thing I wasn't pleased with was that we got a bowl of rice for the currys but it wasn't enough. We just needed a little more but he gave us another bowl. When our bill came, it was a $3 charge for more rice but we ended up eating it all so it didn't break how we felt about the service and food. Prices were very reasonable too. I would highly recommend it if you live here or are visiting!

I've been here a number of times and always meets my expectations. The staff are friendly, it's easy to get a table, the food is pretty good. I went to the other Thai restaurant in town just to try another place as I moved here and wanted to be sure I wasn't missing out... and omg was that a mistake (the other place was awful) and I wish I didn't stray from here! Needless to say, the next time I'm craving Thai I'll definitely be going here and I highly recommend!

Great food ! We just moved here to the island and this place is awesome! The pineapple rice is so so good I could eat it everyday! Love it

We live on the mainland and take the ferry a bunch to one of the SJIs. Pear Thai is our favorite place to call and place a takeout order as we're getting off I-5. It's ready when we get to Anacortes, and we eat it at the Ferry Terminal. Life hack! Anyway, their food is fantastic and their service and preparation is reliable. We usually only play the hits (pad see ew, pad Thai, fried calamari, spring rolls, etc.) and we're always happy and satisfied. Thank you, Pear Thai!

Solidly reliable, delicious Thai food that is our prime go-to in town. An extensive menu that is consistently good and usually ready very quickly.If you haven't had this yet do you wanna try. The food has gone down hill. The dishes we usually like and order were nothing like we usually get.The dish with chicken had literally 2 pieces, one piece the size if a walnut, the other pea size.Everything was cold, and lacking flavor.

Pear Thai has been closed for quite sometime. The restaurant is now occupied y a new Asian restaurant called De Asia and the food and service are excellent. Way better than the old Pear Thai. Check out De Asia, the menu offers way more variety of all kinds of Asian foods.

Honestly one of the most disturbing plates of "food" that has ever been placed in front of me. This was described as stir fried vegetables with your choice of protein over rice. I don't know what their definition of stir fry is, but this is not it. Correct descriptions of food to be ordered is truly the bare minimum in the restaurant industry. Additionally, if you offer 5 levels of spice, you should be able to deliver. In summary: if you like mushy soup described as stir fry with zero flavor, this is the restaurant for you.

We walked in after peeking in and smelling delicious food. We were not at all disappointed- my lunch special had a lovely combination of well prepared Basil Chicken, Pad Thai, perfectly cooked jasmine rice, and spring roll. Plenty of food and attractively served. Josie, our service person, made sure we had no food allergies and was attentive throughout. The restaurant name will change in a few months to DeAsian. Well worth stopping in. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

First time we ate here (earlier this year) was pretty good but this time was a combination of poor service, bad attitude and under cooked food. No go no more, Pear!
