Stopped here at 7:30 on a Friday night fully expecting to have to wait for a table, but was surprised when found two seats at the bar. The restaurant was busy but we had great service the entire time. We ordered the garlic edamame to start, which we felt was way too garlicky and overpowered the dish. The sushi rolls had great flavor, just know that the prices are not on the menu but are on the selection paper. Overall had a yummy meal here and would come again to eat more sushi!

Cute, quaint, could be bigger tho.. Good food, fresh.. service was decent. Not too much to say but I do approve of their food menu with different varieties for most, pescatarians, vegetarians, meat lovers.. my favorite was the spicy jalapeño bombsAnd again all pretty fresh. Although, their spicy tuna seemed to be overly red.. didn't look too appealing but was good.

Andre and Poco are great!I went in for my regular, a rainbow roll California roll and some sashimi......instead I had my mind blown by Andre who insisted I try the blue fin sashimi, salmon belly and mixed sashimi salad.These guys take pride in their work, and it shows .Excellent fish!Super high quality .I usually go to Sushi Ota, so that should tell you something.

Overall, I'd highly recommend PB Sushi for anyone looking for a solid sushi spot in Pacific Beach. It's not trying to be anything it's not, but what it does, it does well.They have a variety of rolls and pictures of them which is always helpful when ordering! They also had your standard selection of sashimi. One thing I appreciated about PB Sushi was that they offer a good mix of traditional sushi rolls and more creative, fusion-style rolls. This means there's something for everyone, whether you're a sushi purist or someone who likes to try new things. We ordered three rolls and some sashimi and it was all tasty! I also appreciated that the portions at PB Sushi were generous without being overwhelming. The prices at PB Sushi are quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the location. If you're looking for a casual spot to grab sushi with friends or family, PB Sushi is a great choice. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Service was good even as they started picking up with the dinner rush.

The staff is friendly and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. Their takeout is always finished fast and if you choose to dine in there is plenty of indoor seating. The only parking available is street so plan accordingly. Definitely worth coming for either dine in or takeout!

Fresh sushi at a very good price and near the beach. Every time I come here I get greeted right away and the sushi is super fresh and not too expensive. I got the nigiri salmon with a Philadelphia roll and some muscles. Everything was delicious!

Really good meal for our family including two young kids. We arrived just before the dinner rush and service staff was friendly, but it seemed to get little hectic but the time we left. As with so many places, probably short staffed, but don't take it out on them!Not a lot of options for the vegetarians, but enough to make it work. We also have a celiac in the group who successfully ate here without having symptoms. Staff was accommodating and checked with kitchen staff when she had some questions. They did provide a gluten free soy sauce when asked, but the bottle wasn't labeled, so out of an abundance of caution, she didn't use it.Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Absolutely awful experience, management and customer service. My spouse and I were very excited for the AYCE sushi of $38 per person. Outside the building the sign advises all you can eat until 5pm. We called to clarify if there was a certain cut off to ordering and we were explicitly told "as long as you are seated before 5" and all members in the party must do all you can eat. I also then inquired regarding our exclusively breastfed infant. Exclusively breast fed as in the infant ONLY consumes breast milk... yet I was told my INFANT would be charged. We decided to go to go someone else and decided to come back two days later. We hired a babysitter to again give AYCE a chance. We sat down at 3:55, ordered drinks and then were told the cut off to sit for AYCE sushi was 4:00..... The waiter then said we could only order until 4:30 pm. Over the phone we were told no cut off. The waiter then walked away and only came back at 4:15, giving us only 15 minutes for all you can eat. We finally ordered at 4:15 pm and our sushi came out AFTER all you can eat was over. Because of this, we ordered a lot of sushi in the initial round as we felt incredibly rushed and tricked. After finishing we had approximately 4 pieces of sushi left. One from each roll. We are aware that you have to pay a fee if you do not finish eating which we were willing to pay. When I asked about the fee we were told we had to pay FULL price for every role we didn't finish. FULL price for one piece of sushi.... Which would have added $60 to the bill for 4 pieces. I made it very clear to the restaurant that we would be disputing our credit card charge. We would never have come at 4 PM if we knew the cut off with 430 . Also, it does not say anywhere that you'd be charged full price for the sushi. This is not a family friendly place and they just want your money.
