Take out -- salt and pepper garlic chicken wings are an absolute deal. Perfectly crispy and the chicken is just extremely tender.Owners are really kind and nice Mom & Pop style restaurant, props to them for maintaining a great quality of food and service.

We've enjoyed PB Oriental a few times for takeout and have had mixed experiences. Usually it's on the average-good side of things. Portions are average; prices are average. It's in a great location to grab some food after watching the sunset to take and enjoy at home. Or I guess you could reverse my order of things and take it for a beach picnic, the seagulls may appreciate that. ;-)

Embarking on a quest for the ultimate Chinese take-out, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that deserves its own spot on the culinary map - PB Oriental. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's a flavor-packed journey to the East, right in the comfort of your own living room (or wherever you prefer to devour your take-out).First off, let me tell you about their General Tso's Chicken. This dish doesn't just pack a punch; it's more like a roundhouse kick to your taste buds by a chicken lightly seasoned in martial arts and spices. If your mouth had a panic button, this dish would make you hit it - out of sheer delight, of course. It's the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and "Are you sure this isn't just spicy candy?"Then there's the Kung Pao Chicken, a spicy Szechwan delicacy that comes with a side of "Are my taste buds still there?" courtesy of its fiery red peppers. It's the kind of dish that makes you wonder if the chef is part Szechwan wizard, casting spicy spells with each stir of the pot. If you've ever wanted to test your spice tolerance while enjoying an explosion of flavors, this is your go-to. Just be sure to have a fire extinguisher--or, you know, a glass of milk--handy.But wait, there's more! The orange chicken at PB Oriental deserves a standing ovation. It's so good, it makes Panda Express look like they're just playing in the minor leagues. This dish is a symphony of sweet, tangy, and crispy goodness that'll have you questioning everything you thought you knew about orange chicken. It's like PB Oriental looked at Panda Express and said, "Hold my soy sauce; we got this."In conclusion, if you haven't yet treated yourself to the culinary wonders of PB Oriental, you're missing out on a hilariously delicious experience. It's the only place where the fortune cookies might read, "You will need more rice," and they wouldn't be wrong. So, grab your chopsticks, order up some General Tso's Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and the show-stopping Orange Chicken, and get ready for a taste adventure that'll have you laughing all the way to the last bite.

Got take out from this spot last night. It's located right on Garnett Avenue, so decided to go to the restaurant, order there, and wait for the food. The restaurant was empty and we were greeted by someone and able to order right away. The food took about 5 minutes longer than was originally told to us, but they were making a lot of to go orders. The food came to us extremely hot and the first thing we noticed was the value that was given. We spent about $30 on a bowl of Wonton soup and orange chicken entree. The orange chicken also came with a bowl of hot and sour soup, white rice, and an egg roll (not pictured). There was a lot of food that came with our order and we were able to turn it into about four meals. The food itself was less impressive. The only thing I really enjoyed was the wonton soup. It was exactly what I was looking for in taste. The orange chicken was not crispy and had a weird flavor to it. The hot and sour soup was also not impressed and the broth was more of a syrupy texture. The white rice and egg roll were fine, nothing that stood out. Overall I would come back for the value and convenience, but I would more likely try another spot first.

This was just okay Chinese food. We tried several dishes including gyozas, pb crispy chicken, chicken lo mein, black pepper beef, and salt and pepper shrimp. The best dishes were the lo mein and s&p shrimp. The lo mein noodles were El dente with a charred flavor from the hot wok. Big white meat chicken chunks. Pretty solid. The shrimp were fried well but had an unusual dry seasoning that was not the usual s&p with fresh chopped chilies. I would not order again the pb crispy chicken or the gyozas. The black pepper beef was just okay. If craving Chinese food in PB, you may want to look beyond PB Oriental.

Absolutely disgusting! I can't believe the quality of food this lady is serving and getting away with it. The chicken is the lowest quality you can buy and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like watered down sugar with red food coloring. The vegetables in the chicken and broccoli dish were brown! One of the worst meals I've had in San Diego

I am Changing my review to 2 stars Because last week I placed an order through Postmates and 1 Of the items I bought war wonton soup was $14.95 (postmates price) Says it includes 8 wontons, my order only had 6 in my soup. I placed another order this past friday and the same thing happened. I feel you are ripping people off when you specifically say there are 8 wontons but only putting in 6 each time. I let it slide the first time but since this happened two weeks in a row I feel this is being done intentionally and overcharging customers.

I ordered from PB Oriental a couple of weeks ago through one of the delivery services. I tried the shrimp and lobster sauce which was delicious, although it could have used a little more sauce. The mushroom chicken was very good, a bit bland but I enjoyed it.Tonight I thought I would try a couple of other dishes. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and the combination lo mein. I had wondered abou ordering a Japanese type dish but thought I'd give it a try. It was extremely disappointing. It came with a small serving of soup, two cream cheese wontons, a small salad and rice. The wontons were okay not great. The teriyaki chicken was a major disappointment. The chicken was overcooked and tough and the teriyaki sauce was very watery and basically tasteless. I didn't even finish it and decided it just throw the rest away. I certainly would not order the Japanese type dishes from this restaurant again. With the amount of money I spent, I received three free egg rolls. Also a very big disappointment. They were basically tasteless with very mushy vegetables inside. The good news is they were complementary. So all in all I would say some of the dishes at this restaurant are quite enjoyable but that certainly wasn't the case for tonight's meal. I have not tried the lo mein yet so I can't comment on that at this point.

Honestly, there are so many good Asian restaurants in this area, but unfortunately, this one doesn't do anything to shine above the rest.
